@@TheBackyardFilmmakers Yeah. Because while a Movie would be great, you can only fit so much into a movie. At least as a Tokusatsu SERIES like Kamen Rider, you'd be able to fit almost EVERYTHING you want into it. Aesthetics and story. You could even set up the movie to be for the Series Finale.
@@XenoguyverZX That's one thing I've loved about the streaming revolution is that we're getting much more long-form content, something that movies can't do, but streaming can.
Really great compositing and effects, great production value for how short it was There is a pretty deep lore to the Megaman X series, so it could easily make a movie, maybe either a movie about the Maverick War, X's struggle with morality, the world as overrun by Maverick robots, plenty to explore in movie form
I always felt X should have been made into a full Anime series, and not Battle Network... X was gritty, and dark... It had all the makings of a truly great series, but be a use it was seen as a kids IP, they went with the Pokemon of MegaMan games instead of expanding on the animations of X3 and X4 (even if 4 had the worst OVA outside MegaMan 8) but perhaps it's time we bring X back in one of these manners, an anime or this premise, a Live-action movie!
A Mega Man X live film should feature the fight against Vile in his ride Armor. And since they could'nt really have X just randomly go from one Maverick to another, maybe make the search for the upgrade part a central part of the plot, to tie things together. Basically something like: Intro about X's discovery, the creations of Reploids, the first Maverick outbreaks.Establishing the characters, etc-->Sigma's rebellion. X is powerless to stop him and is defeated by Vile.-->The Maverick Hunters top priority is to locate Sigma's hideout, and stop the comanders of his Maverick armies. Following his defeat, X realise that he must become stronger and built the resolve to fight if he want to protect humans and reploid. To this end, he seeks the upgrades capsules left by his creator dr. Light. Sigma have sent his Mavericks to stop him.-->Final act at Sigma HQ. Final fight with Vile, then Sigma just as he was about to unleashe [insert evil plan for the destruction of humans here].-->Epilogue. And maybe a post-credit scene hinting that Sigma is "not quite dead" or that Zero might be rebuilt (by a mysterious figure) after all. That's simplified, of course.
The Backyard Filmmakers Maybe show Flame Mammoth crushing his subordinates, kinda like how VADER would kill anyone who failed him, or Kylo Ren would freak out, they say Flame Mammoth’s Battalion didn’t like him, and he would squash anyone who was weaker than him..... most likely both mentally and physically, I say mentally cause these Reploid’s are basically an Artificial General Intelligence, I think by Light studying the schematics of Rock, Bass, and all the other robots he created over the years, and just better tech available over-time, he was able to create something that would evolve into an AGI, after all he said he named him X for limitless potential.....in my opinion Protoman, Rock, and Bass are still weaker firms of A.I., I’ll call them Broad A.I, ( a term that IBM coined) something that will happen before AGI but after the Narrow AI we have today. I agree with A.I researcher/ developer Yan Le Cunn that it’s impossible for a humans to create AGI cause us as a species aren’t a general intelligence. Keep in mind X was in a testing/ diagnostic/ uploading capsule for like 35 years, but my guess is the original Megaman takes place in 2050, and X is in the year 2150, I don’t get the whole 200X/ 20XX, or 21XX thing.
@@bassplayer807 I really like to think how cool the transition from cartoonish to somewhat realistic the transition would be for all the villians into a film! It would be hard to get right though. Not sure exactly how it should be done, but when Hollywood gets it right, it's a lot of fun.
The Backyard Filmmakers Just imagine X fighting Storm Eagle aboard the Death Rogumer at Airport Terminal 1001, I’ve always wondered when after you climb up the pulley conveyers in his stage are you already aboard the airship, because after you lad on the flat platform the clouds slowly start to move, so my guess is the death rogumer is bigger than a S.H.I.E.L.D Heli-Carrier
This was very well put together! I feel like Mega Man X would work much better in live-action than Classic Mega Man would. Mainly because X's more serious tone, themes, and artstyle would translate better. So if we ever do get a live action, PG-13 Mega Man movie, it should be X. But I'm also very fond of Classic Mega Man and would be very interested in seeing an animated movie based on that, combining elements from the Archie comics and Megamix manga. Doesn't really matter if it's 2D, 3D, anime or otherwise. Either way, the soundtrack would have to kick ass. Like the sweet lovechild of a John Williams score and a prog rock album.
I think a Mega Man movie should look like a brightly filtered martial arts action-adventure film with a bit of humor, romance, familial heartwarming scenes and other things like that. And I would love to see a Live-Action Mega Man X fan-film. Keep up the good work.
Excellent work & welcome back. I actually did have a Mega Man NT Warrior casting call once. I had cast the 3 main human characters & the 3 main digital characters. Please don't laugh at my casting of Mega Man. Keanu Reeves from Johnny Neumonic & the Matrix.
Sweet! I can't decide either starting off with the original Mega Man where the hero starts off as a boy. Or head straight to Mega Man X where the hero is at a young adult age. Robot Masters or Mavericks? I hope that you can guys can think about doing Devil May Cry trailers. I'd start it off with either based on DMC3 (before/after) or DMC4 (before/after). Hard to choose when you want something original out of that series. IT NEEDS LOVE!!!!
Just my two cents, I think there are so many origin stories these days that I think it would feel more fresh to start with Mega Man X and hint at his past, while starting in the middle of the story. I could see it both ways too though. I have to admit I'm not very familiar with Devil May Cry. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!

X would work too as live action, but just picture Alita: Battle Angel but with better visuals, because by the time an X movie got made Avatar 2 will already be out and we will see state of the art visuals, I’d like to see Abel City, Giga City, Sky Lagoon, Final Weapon, and Eurasia Space Colony in live action.
