This is Ancient mayga raag .... When sung properly !! It can cause a heavy rain ....., 👍🏻 that's why you heard the sound of thunder , rain all that representing the nature of song
There is a reason why we call Rohail Hyatt, the Hans Zimmer of Pakistan. The melody he produces is just brilliant and divine. He introduced the Zeppelin, Floyd style of music to Pakistan. Mixed it with our culture and presented it back to the world. This season was the pinnacle of his work. He produced season 1 to 6, then 12 to 13 (2020). After this season, would highly recommend to pick any other season from his tenure. You will find uniqueness in all of his produced songs.
Its quite clear u hav a great understanding of music in general and that adds more to these reactions as you feel these songs not just go over them, thats y we love watching these videos with u.
I'm glad u enjoyed this one. It's one of my favourites from CS. Amazing isn't it that they told the whole gathering of clouds to stormy outpour through music. This season is massively underrated.
Love your reactions! A few cultural pointers for foreign audiences: The vocals are ancient folk songs sung in the classical “rain” scales or raags. Typically sung in the monsoon seasons to welcome rain, as rain was crucial to the agricultural livelihood. So this was a happy song but notice how the notes of the vocals and the entire arrangement sounds like rain, drizzling sometimes and then building up into a storm! A masterpiece indeed!
The song depicts the monsooon rain by starting from wind and coming of clouds, a slow drizzle and clouds thunderstorms and then the rain with full boom and at the end calm loke after rain...
Sir, greetings from Pakistan. One of the best songs of Coke studio season 6. All three female vocalists were brilliant. Its certsinly Coke studio classic. Sir, your observatiins were spot-on and reaction to this wonderful song was amazing. Its sung in a special raag style which is believed to cause rain but interestingly this is used in the monsoon season and thus the chances of rain are always greater. The song was really enjoyed by me in your presence. In fact, i loved it. Your reactions are second to none. Brilliant stuff. Coke studio season 6 reached it peak this week with your perfect selection of songs. I really loved your in-advance prediction in anticipation of guitar solo, which was brilliant and reflects how much yourself are engrossed in the song. I wish and pray for the continued success and rise of this channel. With warm regards.
This is raga based composition. It's basically North Indian classical style raga. Miya Malhar is raga composed by Tansen.
