think that can happen on most wide zigzag machines ;o( Solution is to use the right needle for the fabric (I assume you do) get a straight stitch needle plate, and ideally use a straight stitch foot. You can get both for this machine (but at Bernina prices...) Probably just the needle plate would do the job.
Your are right handed and the videographer should be at your left front. Your hands are always in the way and the most intricate steps are of interest to most 480 first timers.
@gavancorrigan8813 Constantly have to stop and clean out lint everywhere. Threads keep cutting short and jamming. And because it's front loading bobbin, I have to move everything out of the way to get to it. I'm going back to my Elna. At this point I'm seriously thinking of giving it away. Attachments and all.
I've been scouring the forums and I think the reason moist people are having issues is because if the 9mm stitch plate. If you get a smaller plate then it won't pull in near as much fabric
Very informative video. Thank you. In the future please use a bright or darker thread. It does not come across on the screen clearly.
Would be better if you used a darker thread as unable to see the stitches ...
You needed a dark fabric for us to see better!
It would have been helpful to use contrasting thread so we could see what was sewn
Ohh can you PLEASE show us a video of Brother 4234d as well as Brother 3034dWT. I really want to see a video on these sergers!
thank you. very helpful for my 485
Just a simple question, I have a 9mm machine now and it eats my fabric way too often. Does this happen on the Bernina?

I hate my B480. Don't buy this machine.
Hi. Can you advise any reasons why?
