the year a song is released isn’t always the year the song is composed. hangar 18 was made before megadeth even existed and it was only released in their 4th album

@@imhere5546 You are correct about the guy from Texas. He went by the name Rudy Grey when you sang for Child Saint. He wrote the lyrics and melody for Child Saint. His real name is Greg Thompson. John and Brian finished the song. I personally knew as soon as I joined the band that the opening and verse riff were written by someone else. John never presented it differently. You are incorrect when you state John "bamboozled us. "Attending" the first Child Saint gig and being in the band and the inner circle leave you FAR from in the know. Your info is not completely accurate.
That has nothing to do with karma. It has to do with these guys not being able to write music and the one cool song they "came up with" was not theirs in the first place.
@slantyrock, same reason im here. I had to see if they really stole it and appears they did. I was at the austin show the day before the alex interview at moody theatre too,and it fucking ruled!!!

This is the guitar part to a megadeth song at least the rif is.... Dave mustaine had told em back in the day that the song rust in piece was called saint child and he had showed em the guitar rif to it and ya.... They changed the band name to saint hold and
@Michael Anderson If anyone from Child Saint had any part in writing the riff, why is there a recording of Dave humming the riff on Ron McGovney's 1982 demo tapes, 2 years before Child Saint were formed and at least 3 years before the song was recorded?
Dave M. said on Guitar Center Sessions hosted by Nic Harcourt (certainly no slouch when it comes to music history) that the name and song was stolen. Rust in Peace is far superior and Megadeath is approaching 20 years...what else did Child Saint do? that's right. Thieves never prosper and neither do douchebags! kick some ass bubbagoob1949
Дэйв просрал пари этим музыкантам , и чуть не потерял шедевр..а этого парня ,вокалиста, ныне можно позвать в Мегадет, реально будет неплохо..Rust In Peace... Polaris!
Don't know who you're talking to, but I do! It's the riff right before the solos, which is actually the same riff that you hear in the intro to Medadeth's version fo "Mechanix". But, to be honest, that is a riff that Dave nicked from Diamond Head's "Sucking My Love" and Diamond Head, in turn, had gotten the idea from UFO's "Love to Love"!
And yet, somehow, all of Dave Mustaine's close friends over the years haven't uploaded their lives to youtube. We're not talking about the Kardashians here; real people don't appreciate things like that.
Alright. Dave Mustaine wrote the most of (if not all) of the music for this song while in his band 'Panic'. When he left Panic, Dave Mustaine "gave" the music to Chidsaint. For some reason or another, when it came time to write Megadeth's fourth album, Dave decided to write his own lyrics to this old song, which was titled 'Rust in Peace...Polaris' and used on the album 'Rust In Peace.' Nobody ripped off who, it was just a matter of riff sharing and one flip-flopping mind.

John said he liked it, Dave said it was not his style and told John "if you can finish it you can have it". John finished the song. The insert on the Anthology addresses this. Dave was only mad because he did not get writing credits on the 1988 EP as well as the 1985 recording that was played in the radio. We corrected that on the Anthology insert. Dave is a co-writer. He wrote the framework of the song but it was unfinished. Believe me when I say that we did NOT steal this from Dave.
@@ChildSaint🤡
@scorpiostrikes
I felt like posting something to that numbskull a couple days ago when I first saw this video, but figured it wasn't worth the time. Only reason I'm back is because I enjoy hearing Dave's work, regardless of the person actually playing it. lol
Actually he just played it for them, he later heard on the radio that they stole not only the entire song but the name "Rust in peace" was originally called Child Saint, yeh they stole that too.
ChildSaint
Megadeth was formed in 1983.
Child saint stole the song from Dave Mustaine before it was used on a Megadeth record.
Uhhhhh,rust in peace...polaris,is that you?
bro you should stop making up assumptions and then indicting people based on them, it's a weird habit.
I've met a few bands. There's no documentation of this because I don't send a press release about every time I meet someone. I certainly wouldn't want someone calling me "fucking retarded" and "a liar" if I ever mentioned that I met (for example) Sleep. People meet people, it's a thing, why are you insulting this guy
Never accept Daves from a Dave, if you try to Dave with the Daveness he'll only use it later to publicly out-Dave you
then why did he wait three fucking albums before he used any of it if he was so desperate for material? this album came out 2 years before rust in peace and Dave Mustaine himself said he gave it to them during a jam session, he was drunk played this riff and said "if you can play it you can have it". He probably did listen to it on the radio and was furious because he was an alcoholic drug addict who wouldn't remember giving away riffs in a drunken stupor during a jam session.
Rust in peace >>>>>
Originally Rust In Peace... Polaris was titled Child Saint. Dave showed it to these guys and they later stole it and used the song name. Dave said he was super pissed after he heard the song on the radio one night. Dave talked about it in an interview with Alex Jones.
Same here, and I just came looking for the song. Found it and I must say, Rust in Peace...Polaris is much better anyway.
If you want proof Dave said so when he was being interviewed by Alex Jones watch?v=wvJdF1y-96w (16:00) A lot of Dave's riffs are highly original, also Mustaine rang up and asked Brian Tatler if he could use the riff for Am I Evil
Still dosen't change the fact that Dave wrote the song before even joining Metallica.. Its a Megadeth song end of.
Chris did but not Gar, remember in Dave's book when he said that Nick replaced Chuck Behler almost immediately, it would have been him.
According to the band, Mustaine gave them the riff. But they denied that it is so, claimed believes them.
Child Saint did NOT steal this from Dave. While Dave did have something to do with this song, it was not stolen. This subject is addressed on the Anthology package.

Am i the only one who can hear good mourning/black friday in the chorus??
Riff tape at Ron's, duh.
Sounds like... Megadeth
Child Saint recorded this song back in 1985. Played it LIVE and on radio and in clubs all over LA. Go to MySpace and search Child Saint. You will hear the recording from a 1985 radio station playing Child Saint on Radio !!!
if u watched the newly interview with Mustaine youlle know that Mustaine wrote this song before he even was in Metallica and sometime he showed this song to these guys with Ellefson and he said that all of a sudden he heard his song playing by them and he was veryy angry.
That's a better response than I expected.
this was released 4 years before rust in peace. whats with everyone saying it's dave's song? :/
+me tbh Because this is one of the 4 first songs he ever wrote? Others being Hangar 18, The Mechanix and Jump In The Fire.
+Wake up dead (originally "Blood and honor") and My Last Words.
the year a song is released isn’t always the year the song is composed. hangar 18 was made before megadeth even existed and it was only released in their 4th album
Some songs are written way before they appear on an album, Set The World Afire was written before Peace Sells and KIlling Is My Business and then showed up on So Far, So Good. You just can't deny that this is Dave's song, there's even a demo version of Rust In Peace with Chris Poland and Gars playing it from the same year that this came out.
fucking awesome
Mustaine God
THE WARHEADS WILL ALL RUST IN PEACE
and theres a bunch of songs on th1rt3en tht he started writeing in the 80's and never finished or could get to a level he was happy with

😂
some guy from Texas wrote the lyrics and vocal lines to child saint, I was there when the band did their first gig in a bowling alley, played a lot of Priest covers... John didn't write the main riff and he didn't write the lyrics either, he bamboozled Brian and Steve and Gary
Bruh...............
Nice stuff. Funny that it's the song "Rust In Peace" slightly doomed down.
child saint stole this from dave and he wasnt jamming with them he showed them the song to ask what they thought
Dave did it better on rust in peace
does anyone have any proof that dave came up with these riffs first?
theres an old audio clip of dave in metallica drunkenly humming the riff if that counts (sorry i was 8 years late, i dont know if you still care)
That has nothing to do with karma. It has to do with these guys not being able to write music and the one cool song they "came up with" was not theirs in the first place.
Just came from the Alex Jones interview. Holy shit, how did I not hear about this before Hahaha.
@joanal12
any recorded version of dave mustaine using this riff on panic
more like Polaris
@slantyrock, same reason im here. I had to see if they really stole it and appears they did. I was at the austin show the day before the alex interview at moody theatre too,and it fucking ruled!!!
I put the song on 1.25 speed to see if it'd sound more like Polaris, and because I'm a bit stoned it only took a minute to forget the song was sped up because it sounded so cool. But when the solos came up I was like "who the fuck is shredding this hard"
And then I realized. haha
Leave it up, the Megadeth version still stands up to it!
Sick Shit I Just Came up on this record to day..hard to find
this song can't much true polaris
To bad Panic never released a demo, if they did I never can find it.
some bits sound like my darkest hour
Дэйв просрал пари этим музыкантам , и чуть не потерял шедевр..а этого парня ,вокалиста, ныне можно позвать в Мегадет, реально будет неплохо..Rust In Peace... Polaris!
Nah, it sounds to me like Nick Menza if we're talking about the extras on the Rust in Peace album
There are lots of videos all over youtube about the olympics as well
hey since you claim to know a lot about music, do you know what part Dave Mustaine wrote in the song Ride The Lightning?
Don't know who you're talking to, but I do! It's the riff right before the solos, which is actually the same riff that you hear in the intro to Medadeth's version fo "Mechanix". But, to be honest, that is a riff that Dave nicked from Diamond Head's "Sucking My Love" and Diamond Head, in turn, had gotten the idea from UFO's "Love to Love"!
@@marcoubagoleardini5770
He also wrote the verse riff in ride the lightning, which he altered and reused for the verse riff in Hook in mouth.
spider chord and that verse slide riff
The main riff to this is so Polaris.
dude this sick even though its not dave hahaha
does that mean no one was at the olympics
Do you think Dave Mustaine only knows one person
its the original rust in peace that dave mustain wrote
im here coz of mustaine lol /watch?v=gV4Czg9dI-k he talks about it around the 16 min mark with alex jones
sad but true
wow.....
oh my god!
You dont know what you are talking about !!!

Rust in peace anybody.

LOL, fucking theives. I never knew about this until I watched the Mustaine interview with Alex Jones.
slantyrock me neither im in middle of watching interview now,, paused it to look uo this song
/watch?v=wvJdF1y-96w&feature=g-vrec
Listen to about 15 minutes in.
My right ear enjoyed this, but my left ear said it wasn't half bad, could be louder he said though.
I was watching guitar sessions the other night, dave said he wrote the riff, then him and david heard on the radio in the car- his song child saint.
I think he was being sarcastic..
what should i say
the smiths still ill
WTF!?!? POLARIS!?!?! EWWW! ALL SLOW!
thats fucked up hahahaha poor mega dave.
