- Every year I travel all over the United States chasing the greatest storms on this planet.
2021 provided me with the perfect season for a new chaser; photogenic tornadoes, amazing storm structure, and incredible lightning.
This year I was determined to do even better; ride shotgun with me as I attempt to document all the craziness mother nature throws my way,
these are the best storms of 2022!
4K documentary of the 2022 storm/ tornado season.
2022 felt like a disaster of a year for me given the terrible luck I had capturing tornadoes this year but I slowly learned to appreciate all the other wonderful things I saw along the way and the people I shared it with.
Quite a lot of the footage in this video was captured by my friend and chase partner Chris, please consider checking out his RUclips channel: / @highriskchris

Just because you didn’t catch a tornado, that doesn’t mean you were empty-handed. You got so much lightning, and it was amazing.
Not every year is going to be a ‘great one’ - but you only get one 2022 regardless! Here’s to 2023 having more good memories out on the Plains!!
I was definitely disappointed at the time but I had a lot of great adventures last year. There was still a lot to be happy about.
While you didn't get what you were looking for, I gotta say the quality of your videos and your cinematics are insaaaane. Keep uploading man you'll get where you wanna be sooner than expected
Those sprites and that lightning photography had to have been well worth it. 🙏🏼
They were, sprites and lightning are one of my favorite parts of what I do. I’ve captured even better ones since making this.
It's all about the journey, not the target.
Great video 🙂 The lightning and timelapses are top notch. Best wishes for 2023. The season is taking off.
Thank You!
Celton, I’m sorry the tornadoes held out on you, but you did capture some stunning beauty. May this year 2023 bring you many burritos and other things of beauty. I’ll be here watching.
Pretty cool man, I live down in Largo so it’s cool to see some content that’s local and to know that I’m definitely not the only person who gets excited for our wet season. Speaking of which, it’s getting dry!
Just had to sub to this channel after watching this video. Your cinematography, narration, understanding of music and it's relationship to mood and imagery - best I've seen since Pecos Hank.
I'm amazed that I'm one of only a couple of thousand that's seen this masterful piece of filmmaking.
I hope your channel goes from strength to strength and look forward to viewing what you come up with this year. Here's to a productive and safe season ahead.
I've got some stuff on the way that blows nearly everything in this video out of the water, thanks for the kind words!
While 2022 may not have been the greatest season, it was still cool to see the adventure!
Yeah, gotta take what you can get.
You got some incredible lightning footage. Florida lightning is always so beautiful, especially near the beaches. Hoping that you are able to chase more in 2023- you always get great footage! :)
8:31 Thank you for finally rolling up the window! 😳😂
Amazing journey lightning storms impressive intriguing that such severe weather events occur in the state's and yet bagging a tornado can be so difficult
Nice compilation of 2022! It was definitely a tough year. Morton might have been my best day of 2022. The Texas panhandle really produces!
A week after this and weather channel releases a short about upward lightning strikes 😏 You must have a fan
I'm not even halfway through this video, and i had to pause to make this comment. Celton, this is one of the most incredible videos I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Music, narration, pace, absolutely stunning quality video clips, editing... i honestly am just so impressed. Way to go, man! 👏
Thank you so much! I'm actually working on the sequel to this video for 2023 right now as we speak.
@@CeltonHenderson Amazing! Can't wait to watch it 😊
Great video man, 2022 was a tough year for me too tornado wise. I saw this one brief bird fart and missed most of its lifetime due to me scrambling away from baseballs in its hailcore. Hopefully 2023 is better for us man!
My favorite part of the storm season of 2022 was June 15 2022 because since I live in Wisconsin, it's very unlikely for a tornado outbreak to happen. And I definitely caught a huge and ominous shelf cloud on camera. But since that week was so hot, the heat was fed into the storm and caused the conditions to be right. It was definitely something that I'll never forget. I love how the clouds get dark when apparently it's a very sunny day but then you look behind you only to see a dark storm heading towards you.
Yup they can be really photogenic.
Beautiful lightning captures. I also love the timelapses of the storms.
Nice work ! Can’t wait to watch you and your channel grow!
Thank you!
Look I gotta be honest this video was badass and those lightning shots you got maybe the best I've ever seen
Ayyyy the fit! Great video bro.
Thank you, and yeah its my trusty chase vehicle.
Amazing, may God make this channel glow up!
Why did I not sub earlier haha... great stuff!!
Thank you Dr. Orf, massive fan of the work you do.
The quality of this video is reminiscent of Pacos Hank
Pecos*
Exactly!!!

You should do a video on the 2013 Washington IL tornado
Up and coming channel. Just like the lightning
Beautiful video! Good luck in 2023. Also - what camera equipment do you use? All of your shots look awesome.
I use several but the majority are filmed on my Sony A7SII and Sony A7RII. I also use an old Nikon D7000 for Timelapses.
@@CeltonHenderson thank you!
Thanks for putting the video together, was good
Thank you!
Incredible lightning shots!
Thank you!
