Erics game is the game we love! Everyone watching this is loving the game too.. so we should trust in the decisions of ec and keep playing, collecting and most of all having fun! 💙
As someone who does not use Discord or Reddit, the only time I hear of "controversy" is in videos such as these from yourself or 1 or 2 other commentators. The speed at which doomsaying seems to overtake this fledgling community triggered by minor corporate actions staggers me at times. The creators want to reprint a product that, in some regions, is difficult to find / afford for existing or entry-level players and so many wish to claim the sky is falling.
Correct, especially since several people debating and commenting about this subject didn't listen to the 2 hours podcast that originated all of this. After hearing the podcast, most people would understand that there is no controversy at all...
Decipher Inc. had insider fraud which tanked and destroyed the company. That's why both Star Wars and Star Trek CCGs ultimately failed. They weren't able to renew the licenses because of the financial troubles. Both games are actually still going strong by independent councils. Aside from that, this is a really negative take that doesn't help anyone or the community. Sorcery is doing just fine, and sales are good. The product is available, and the market is stable.
@@sparta1821Arthurian legend had a mixed reception. The opening experience was a bit dry. And play wise the card pool is a bit short to enjoy it by itself for a full year. So we get back to beta that is distributed unevenly and still in high demand, leading EC to tell us they might reprint it if needed, scaring the lads that put money in it. All the talk about reprint and aftermarket being on the downtrend is a bad publicity that may scare newcommers. Anyway the next set must be a hit to free beta from reprint and calm down the paper hands. A big pool of cards, good cards, evenly distributed, with starterd and lgs kit from day one. If the set is bad they will keep printing beta, lowering the trust in EC again etc etc...
I think the main thing that they have been missing: Communication. They need to make decision about certain things and communicate it to the community. Then stick to it. That way nobody will be surprised by decisions they make. What is their commitment to making the cards collectible and desired? What is the plan to keep product available for new players without blowing up the marketplace? How are they going to manage a once a year release? Communication has been an issue to this point and that will be key to making this game work for everybody.
I think they need to resupply the Dust Store with Alpha boxes. That would definitely motivate me to buy more booster boxes. I do want the sweatshirt, but not like I want an Alpha box. They must have a palette or two lying around somewhere, no? Ooooo what about just single Alpha packs on the Dust store. C'mon Simon... Pleeeeease.
Smash that like button for Josh! Sidenote, bad time for Erik to joke... just say'n 😂 I mean, I laughed, but I usually cant say the first 17 jokes that come to my mind 🤷🏼♂️
A beta reprint is necessary and should have been anticipated by everyone
If we are gonna have any shot to grow a community in our local area, we need more beta to feed new players.
Collectors can piss off and buy more alpha
@ exactly
Some "investors" clearly didn't think about this and are now venting on socials. Weak hands
If investors leave the game. The game will certainly die. 50% of your community is investors, and "collectors"
@@MrRayRockstar some investors and collectors will leave the game. some will stay. It doesn't really matter

Replace Eric with Mike, and this comment would have been in every MetaZoo video.
@@MrRayRockstarI understand the analogy you are trying to use, but this game and its creator have almost nothing in common with metazoo.

The reprints comes in waves i think they observe the demand then reprint like the summer reprint came after a break.

Well said 👏
Man I wish my dad was into card games. We have a very poor relationship. Your kids are lucky Josh keep being awesome!
lol, same
The next set better be a home run
How do you mean that? It better be or else the game is done? Does that mean that the game isnt great already?

(You should see the PoE subreddit... I'm sure Erik's developed a thick skin)
I am going SO HARD on AL for Black Friday - FWIW- Maybe 10 cases... IDK
Hope everyone gets out so I can finish my alpha set.
Josh, I'd be helpful if you could define the controversy your monologue is about. Not everyone follows the hour by hour discussion on social media.

100% - it’s been an issue since day 1.
Yet another based video, kind sir.
SORCERERSSSSSSSS

Hi Josh!
… (shh) josh here
I hope one of these days Josh surprises us with a very low volume intro just to mess with us :P

Single Pack = 10k dust. Do it EC
