Great review of the book. Definitely on my "must get" list. Arkham Unveiled was a good book, but this new one really seems like its done even better. Chaosium, continuing to improve and release new products.
The 2003 version also included the four adventures, it was pretty similar to the original version, including maps, handouts, newspaper, adventures, etc.
Not sure about any reprints after that.
The new version looks absolutely great. I'm on the fence whether I get it or not, but there's a highlihood that I will given the detail and production values!
I thought about getting the leatherette version, but settled on the normal hardback version. It's really nice and so well planned out and done. It does have two bookmarks, to answer your question in the video. I'd love to know the differences, if any, other than the obvious cover. It sure looks nice, thanks for showing it and walking through it a bit.
this book is just perfect for context and preparation , and the leatherette does it justice
Man, that looks nice.
Now...when is the HPLHS going to do a big prop box for Arkham?
I'm glad they've dialed back the timeline. I tend to start my games in the early 20s, and for a while (the 90s) it seemed like a lot of props & handouts were dated in the later part of the decade.
I thought you were doing some zooming in post until it went really nuts.
I think the wallet is their Arkham contribution in the short term. The scenario that comes with it is connected to the book/setting. I agree with you on starting earlier in the 20s in games. That was a good decision. And yes, I don't know what the heck is going on with my camera post-update. I might have to revert the camera app or something.
@@RPGImaginings Oh, yeah. The wallet. I forgot about that.
Not saying that other props like letters and documents wouldn't also be sweet. :)
Hi, would you be interested in a review copy of a TTRPG I have worked on that is going to kickstarter soon? I apologize but i have not found any better way to contact you.
Potentially, yes. Please email rpgimaginings@gmail.com. I can't give you a definitive yes, because I want to ensure that it meets my ethical standards of not advocating racism, sexism, etc.
@@RPGImaginings the email has been sent
This is so beautiful thank you for sharing. I am definitely excited to get my standard edition of Arkham soon.
Cthulhu fhtagn!
