I was hoping for a little Crawler King love! I agree with alot of your criticism. Couple of good points for the King is It's set up for 4wheel steering and it's drive train is very smooth and quiet! It's also very durable except for the crazy steering set up! Anyways thanks for the great video and I'm glad you're son enjoyed it and spending time with you!
Thanks, yeah, not what I expected but not about to toss it either. Maybe I'll pull up the specs on the Wheely King and see what it was geared at. It tumbled a lot so I need to address the suspension and servo but the kid loves it. And nothing I love more than my two boys.
Well... good news is your kiddo loved it. As for the turning radius... not exactly on a dime. Maybe a roll of dimes. Body looks pretty good, at least. LOL
I should do the follow up soon now that I'm back at it. Back to a Wheelie King and his Truck, Meatball, is blasting around the yard. It's dang fun now. Bunch of changes but it's a blast! Thanks so much for your comment! Have fun out there 👍
I feel like if they had the money for a r and d department, they would thrive. Very cool platform, but definitely needs a refresh. Awesome review and props for the backstory on the company.
Dude that’s awesome and a great way to bond and spend time with your kid! My uncle bought me a traxxas slash 1/16 and taught me how to build em up... years laterI now have a daughter whose just a lil baby but I can’t wait to get her into the rc hobby and spend lots and lots bonding time together! Love your channel man!
Thanks for this video review. I had looked into this truck while researching trail / crawlers. I didn't find a lot of in depth reviews on this ( could be me ). I know also that HPI seemed to be having supply issues with their parts. This is why I passed on this truck, I am possibly interested in Jumpshot Monster Truck but again if they have the same supply issues for parts.
I haven't had issues with most HPI models which is why I gave this a go. I actually have the last iteration of the Vorza on its way to me. Just make certain you're getting the Jumpshot that's current and if you have any questions call Shadow at Shadow Hobbies in Highland Park, NJ. He's my new go to guy for anything HPI. Wish I'd met him and been to his store before I picked up the Crawler King. I have a video on his shop coming up. Great place. I'm in Texas and gotta say...that guy is the one to ask. And you can always email me and I'll work my hardest to help find parts for you. He had 3 Savage XL. May even have your Jumpshot.
I just bought this same model for my son 2 weeks ago. The front right side dips too much and scrapes the body shell when turning in its direction. What adjustment needs to be done to fix that?
In the bag there are shock spacers. Need to tighten those shocks up. You can hear ours doing the same thing. I didn't have them with me. That or swap the shocks out. There's a retaining clip in the bottom of the shock as well that kept falling off on ours on the bottom. Poor design. Make sure you didn't lose those. My air compressor blew one off during cleaning. Truck is full of surprises.
I cannot disagree. As you know we can put money into anything and make a cool vehicle out of it. But yeah. I was surprised. Especially because HPI has some really cool stuff. Just odd.
Oh come on man, No rc Is perfect. It's just outdated. They're finally bouncing back from traxxas suing them for that waterproof box bs. The most important thing is, the kid had fun with it. So imo, it's not a bad truck, and they do sell tons of spring steel upgrades, and all the parts are on hrp in the us.
@@theguyinthecomments9543 for what is cost no way is it worth it and your talking about upgrades and everything wonder what the price tag would be after that. Im sure you could get a really nice rc.
@@Tuidkskiwjdhdbd it's all a matter of preference that's why I always say "imo" and don't forget, it's just a toy after all. Different strokes for different folks bud.

awesome rc and i have the redcat danchee ridgerock and that thing crawls awesome
That Danchee for that 119 is a great starter crawler. Especially with 4 wheel steer. It's less hobby grade imo than toy but a lot of fun.

@@redvikinghobbies Thanks for the heads up on Shadow Hobbies! I'll keep that written down when I start to look into getting another basher.
