Even in Asia where Portuguese lost most of their colonies, their influence in all territories they had occupied is much more evident. Portuguese surnames are frequent everywhere, their cuisine is heavily present in many Asian dishes (they made Indian cuisine hot with pepper from Brazil) for example, religion etc. I also understand that many Asian languages have many Portuguese words in it.
