Episode 1: PANDESAL
How to make the Pinoy's favorite, Pandesal? Learn it here, step by step. Recipe and procedure below.
PANDESAL ala ABC
#ABCbyABC Episode 1: January 5, 2018
Ingredients:
500g bread flour
100g white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1.5 tsp. dry active yeast
2 tbsp. powdered milk
50g butter or margarine
1 egg
220ml warm water
filling of your choice (adobo, corned beef, cheese, chocolate, peanut butter)
fine bread crumbs
Procedure:
1. Measure all ingredients precisely.
2. Sift bread flour.
3. Place all dry ingredients on your working surface/bowl.
4. Combine all dry ingredients using a dough scraper and make well at the
center.
5. Combine egg and warm water. Stir with fork and slowly pour into dry well.
6. Knead! Masa na, besh!
7. Add butter (fat) little by little.
8. Oil bowl with butter, place dough and cover. Let rise for 1.5 hours on warm
surface (ibabaw ng ref).
9. Deflate. Itaob ang dough sa surface & punch down para matanggal ang air.
10. Weigh dough & decide on weight per ball or ilan ang yield (o piraso) na
gusto mo.
11. Cut and scale each ball.
12. Bench. Bangkuin ang dough. Let them sit para makapahinga, bago bilugin.
Para di magresist.
13. Shape and stuff (if feel mo maglagay ng filling).
14. Roll onto bread crumbs.
15. Proof or do second rising on the pan for 30-45 minutes. Cover para di
magdry out.
16. Pre-heat oven for 10-15 minutes at 350F.
17. Bake for 15-18 minutes (depende sa dami at laki ng pandesal!). Baligtarin
ang trays half way through the baking time.
18. Cool.
19. Enjoy warm with your favourite palaman.
20. Share. :)

WAHHHH MY FAVORITE RECIPE!!! Siksik na siksik sa loob yet malambot, sakto lang lasa niya not too salty not too sweet. I tried other recipes before and this one was the simplest yet the BEST by far! Cheers to you ma'am!

I am filipino-american and I'm not fluent with tagalog, but I enjoyed every minute of this video. Thank you so much for sharing your tips/tricks in making pandesal. My family and I went to the Philippines in December and ever since I have been missing every moment of it. Every morning we would get freshly made pandesal from the bakery with coffee. Pandesal isn't as accessible here in MI, but I'm so glad that it can easily be made at home too! 💜🤗

Nag subscribed ako after watching this. Nag enjoy ako kung paano mo ituro step by step, & yung mga dapat tandaan as if you're in a baking class. Hindi ko pa na try mag bake kahit minsan, but this video shows how easy & fun it would be.. and thank you kasi hindi ka madamot mag share ng ingredients.

I already tried your recipe. I dont have bread flour so i used all purpose and it came out good i like my pandesal soft . Yung iba kasing pandesal walang laman sa loob.ito eksakto lang sa pagka sikaik. Thank you for sharing.

Hi there! I made your pandesal today and it's so yum. But I used whole milk instead of water bec. I don't have powdered milk, the taste is just like pandesal back home. Thank you for the recipe👍👍👍👍

I tried it and it's perfect. Dati gumawa ako using another recipe and ang tigas.
But when I followed yours, sobrang perfect nya. Hope you can make ube cheese pandesal. Although I used this recipe of yours and just added ube essence and cheese, ok nman sya. Ganda ng texture.
