      @@PipingMantra please make complete caesar 2019 tutorial when restraint summary shows exceeded forces and moments.... very needed for engineers to dominate the efficient use of restrains and expansion loops to minimize design costs

    Excellent video. As you told about anchor support. Would you kindly briefly elaborate it please? What is an anchor support? Will elbows and pipe nozzles act as an anchor support? How to differentiate between hold down support and anchor support? Thanks for your valuable time.

      Anchor support means no movement or in more technical word zero degree of freedom. Pipe nozzle can work as anchor not an elbow... You have provide welded or permanent suport to have anchor.

      @@PipingMantra Thanks for your prompt reply. It means trunnions will not act as anchor support? I have seen trunnions supports at the discharge end of the pump, supporting the elbows.

      @@cck0728 trunnion support #can act as an anchor based on its arrangement . In pump normally i have seen a rest / guided trunnion.
      In Hold down support we have one direction free to move i.e 2 DOF

    Nice video on thermal expansion. I just wish I could hear you better. The music is the background makes it hard to listen. Don't take that as a criticism, I am going deaf and that is not your fault. Your lesson was laid out very well. I liked how you draw out every example. Also liked the codes you used for reference.     hello plz i want to know how to extract this loads on restraints not elements and its for dimensioning the supports :
    pie weight only , fluid weight only
    thermal force on the support (if the support is +Y the the force is DOWN ) i hope you can answer thnx
