To be perfectly honest I couldn't ever figure out what the big deal about this championship is. But once I had this amazing peirce of hardware in my face and hands I figured it out and now I'm in love
The WCW Big Gold is the iconic title.I had the WCW BIg gold from Fig Inc.The WWE Big Gold commemorative from WWE Shop.Both are my favourite including The NWA Domed Globe
I just ordered this championship a few days ago. It was onsale for $182 and I couldn't pass it up. I have the wwe 2mm version but after seeing this review I didn't care for it much anymore lol. I'm looking to get it signed by Ric Flair at a convention next weekend.
To be honest if this belt had a slight curve in it this belt would be elite .plus the belt is already looking good
Yes! Slight curve on the main plate at least. And the original jewel holders for the rubies. That'd make it the best.
I just ordered this very championship from wwe shop. It's a nostalgic thing. I was a wcw kid. I wanted to own both versions of the wcw world heavyweight championship. This and the 91-94 version

I grew up watching the WWE version of the title, but WCW version looks nicer. Debating on which one to get, I know the WWE version is a 2mm & WCW is 4mm with more detail

Great review; thank you! I have the WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt buckle from the WWE Shop. I ordered it around 10 years ago, and I'm finally getting a strap for it now. I'm thinking it's time for me to get the real thing (or as real as it gets for a collector) to complement the belt buckle and have been looking at this replica. I wish the belt bag had the WWE-style WCW logo from 2001 (the red spiky one). Otherwise, I like the generic character of this belt in that it doesn't have the WWE logo on the main plate. Because of that, it can pass for an NWA title, a WCW title, or a WWE title.

If it's in one's budget the Fandu Big Gold Luxe duel plated is THE belt to get. It is beautiful. It's double the price so I definitely understand if it's not in the budget for some, but it really is stunning to look at. However, WWE shop is stepping up their game and they've got some really nice looking belts for a good price (ALWAYS wait for the sales). They've got a few duds but their quality is improving tremendously.
How is your fandu luxe holding up? I've heard from others that theirs have tarnished or started to tarnish.
@@obsessivefanboy7 I've had it for only a year but it looks the same as I bought it. When I take it to autograph signings i get a lot of compliments. Even Hulk Hogan himself said it was a nice looking belt.
How does this compare to the new one with the brown belt? I ordered this, but wonder if I should have got the brown belt

I just scored a 1999 figs toy company WCW big gold belt off eBay for less than $130 after shipping and tax. Didn't come with a bag but i bought one for like $35. Hoping it looks good in person whenever I receive it.

WWE Shop used to sell them. And it's plastic.

No, the belt doesn't crack. The WWE Shop belts are much more durable than the older figs toy co belts.
I just purchased one from Fanatics. It seemed since the switch to that website, there doesn’t seem to be any indicator of which thickness 2mm or 4mm. Any idea which one it is?

@@HectorTheCollector if you ever get to meet Scott Steiner he has his in ring Championship belt for sale he's asking 6k to my knowledge him DDP Kevin Nash Jeff Jarret had a copy made for them of the orginal World Heavyweight Championship belt and have worn them during matches

In terms of etching which big gold has the deeper etching, the wwe shop wcw big gold or the 2013 figs inc next gen big gold?
They're pretty close, but I might say the WCW Big Gold from the WWE Shop.
