Freddie & Mike Moran composed most of the songs, but Golden Boy & The Fallen Priest had lyrics by Sir Tim Rice, the great lyricist , who was a friend of Freddie's. He said that Freddie gave him the music & asked him to write lyrics. Gave him freedom to do whatever..

Freddie Mercury was so much more than a rock singer, he was a brilliant musician, an excellent singer, songwriter, storyteller. He had an eclectic musical taste and the range to sing operatic songs. Montserrat was famous for her very high soft notes, and she was brave enough to take the risk of singing with a rock star, because she recognized the Musician in Freddie instantly. She enjoyed the new musical territory where Freddie took her.

You should also check out exercises in free love which was a demo that Freddy sent to montserrat for one of the songs. In the demo he sings her part. Then Ensueno which is the completed song.

Very lucky me (!) met "Montsy" in the late 90s and we spent some hours together! She was one of the most increidble, beautiful (!) woman I've ever met! Unbelievable and impossible to describe! This was once in a lifetime memorey cannot be errased from memories! "Fantastic" and "Epic" are not enough to describe her and her personality. I was much younger than her, of course, but immediatly felt in love with her. Impossible to describe ... but, wow! What an amazing woman she was! Not just the voice, but everything and all! Her laughing was so addictive, but so extremly loud ... i still hear it in my ears ... and she laughed a lot! I am totally with Freddie: If you met hear once or heard her sing - you can nothing do, but love her! ♥
