Aurora used A little place called the moon as outro in the recent Norwegian tour 😍😍😍 and also greatly underrated this song, what an unearthly beautiful song this is
This is probably a bit strange for you to hear as only the 2nd song, that you hear from the new album. Since this is the last song and it is like an "outro", which is meant to be heard after all the other songs, and it is also a bridge to the next album as she said in an interview. The lyrics "We are going to the moon" might at least partly be referring to NASA's mission back to the Moon which is called Artemis, because "Artemis" is goddess of the Moon amongst many other things. There is also an "Artemis" song on the new album and in that song she sings: "I always wondered why they all, came back for more". Personally I also think this song is about reaching our potential, like in "Daydreamer" she sings that we should be "moonwalkers" instead of "street walkers", and she says "remember to dream big, it is very important" in the HAIK concert just before starting to sing Daydreamer. Also in "Dance On The Moon" she is literally daydreaming in her room about dancing on the moon.
Yess, Thanks Larry you picked another good song from the Album! Loved ittt :]!! Edit : Aurora said...: “'A Little Place Called the Moon' has been in the back of my head for a long, long time before I decided to finally record it. It's the most spiritual song. I feel very in touch with a lot of ancient and spiritual things. I'm imagining you and me and all of us just standing up and walking towards something great and hopeful and beautiful that lies there, far ahead in our future. And eventually, we're all going to the moon. I just like the idea of all of us going to the moon. We'll get to look down at ourselves from up there and see how small and beautiful and large we are at the same time." She had noted it as one of her favourite songs off the album and as a 'bridge to the next album', she said: "It's the perfect ending. You have to wait so long for the final release where I finally come in again. I like the patience of it, it offers you one last breath before it all ends and disappears into the sky. And it's a really good bridge to my next album."
I had never heard of this artist before listening to your Eminem reactions and delving into you channel. Beautiful voice! I will have to go and find some more of Aurora. I think this song would be a very good choice to use in a movie or a TV show alongside scenes of a character using substances, as it does indeed have that floaty, trippy, surreal sound to it, or perhaps during a dream sequence.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned that this song sound's similar to "Brian Eno - Deep Blue Day." The spacious atmospherics and layers are similar in tone.
Saw an interview with Aurora, and she was asked about her favorite tracks on the new album, and she said this and Exhale Inhale. I wonder if her answer changes with her mood at the time (since they're all her "children"), but that's how she was feeling at the time.
Gosh im mesmerized.. sounds japanese in the beginning. Something that can be played in a movie perhaps. Or even a Kill Bill movie😅. But towards the end I felt like I was floating awaaaaaayyyyy. Wow 💫 ✨
Very different for Aurora but enjoyedit very much. It would be very interesting to see her do this one live. She is so expressive with her hands and body movements, I am trying to picture what she would do.
Someone (on YT but can't remember who) suggested this as a starter song for the concert where she after 2 min of Ohh's and Ahh's enters the scene and finishes the last 2 min vocals. Sounds like an epic entry and we would be on the moon for rest of the concert.
I tried Chris and it's pretty cool never heard her before thanks for the reaction when you get a chance have a listen to good bye my lover by James blunt
This sounds like the moon song from Princess of Kaguya (anime), specifically, from the scene where the princess goes back home to the moon (i.e. suicide).
Great reaction, but (sorry) I think it might be “better” to try and react to the album in semi-track order. Aurora always tries to create an old-school album, as you know, with a certain flow to the song placements, connections and themes. Just my humble opinion. :) 1. The Forbidden Fruits of Eden 2. Everything Matters 3. Giving In to the Love 4. Cure for Me 5. You Keep Me Crawling 6. Exist for Love 7. Heathens 8. The Innocent 9. Exhale Inhale 10. A Temporary High 11. A Dangerous Thing 12. Artemis 13. Blood in the Wine 14. This Could Be a Dream 15. A Little Place Called the Moon
To me, this song also has a 1920's / 30's feel to it -- with otherworldly chorus's (Skull Island in the original King Kong), and other ethereal choral soundtracks from that period.
Hey Larry, I'm here as a rap fan due to me owing you one. I think the way she adlibs over her harmony is beautiful and where is she from because it sounds very much like Japanese Street music. I imagine listening to her live would be completely memorising and I won't be skipping these reactions anymore. As always I request Dax - Joker or Dax - Dear God when you can. Keep it up man. 🙌
@@larryshair Have you done In Boxes yet? Very dark lyrics, but a really fun song. It used to be a regular part of her live set. It's become an absolute favorite of mine.
Very much looking forward to you reacting to her Music Videos for Queendom, and Cure For Me... I love her Live performances, but I feel the video for Queendom is the best and clearest expression of that song, as well as the video for Cure For Me (she just nails the visuals to her lyrics)! Very much interested in your interpretations... 🤘😎
OMG. Definitly a oriental vibe. I At first I thought of something close to Chinese music. Then, once the lycris comes, it sounds a bit more Indian to me... but... why choose? Anyway, this is also the closest thing to Enya at this time, from what I've heard of her. I can't wait to see a live version.
Haha. There is no one like Aurora. That's official. You caught this song quite out of context, but you still did a good analysis of it IMO. Your craftsmanship is ever evolving :-) Where will it end ? Will we be going to the moon ? Take care Bud !
The album is a concept album. That means it follows a story, like from a book. It has an intro and an outro. This one was the outro. No idea how someone comes up with the idea, it would be a good idea to wish an outro without at least mentioning it. The lyric video is of course also extremely exciting. Hard for any karaoke singer to follow. So much to do wrong with this demanding text. 😁 And now right afterwards we hear Eminem's "Slim Shady". 😂
Hey Larry, check out “Pisces” by Jinjer. Promise you won’t regret it. It’s another women with a beautiful voice with AMAZING talent. 😍 You need to hear it and see it once in your life.
I don't think Aurora is human..... So this might be a song about her home... ;-) Just kidding..... This song is the perfect ending of her fantastic album...
I'm so grateful you are staring this journey, so fun to watch your vids. That's Paul Rogers, from Bad Company, The Firm, Queen and some other projects. One of my favorite voices ever.
To be honest. It's not the music I listen to or really like. But your words from the "Eminem - Bad Guy" video inspired me to try other new things. And it's a cool experience.
Hi Chris, this song is actually atypical for AURORA, although everything in the song is typically AURORA. There are several very different parts in the song that hardly anyone would put together in one song. And that is again typical AURORA. One part sounds almost as if someone had played an instrument under water. Can this be? This song is the essence of the album. They are so different songs. You wouldn't expect that. The album is anything but boring. Rather, it is very demanding and requires your full attention. And this album deserves our attention, AURORA deserves our attention. Have a nice day and Warm greetings from Germany
I always love your reactions to Aurora 👍 But with this song it felt kinda weird, since it’s an outro song. Actually I think it’s important, especially on this album, to start with the into and follow it in the order Aurora has put the songs 😍 So since you’ve already reacted to Everything Matters, Giving in to the love and Cure for me, it’s time for you to react to “You keep me crawling “ 😉👍😍😍 This is one of my favourites ❤️ ruclips.net/video/4FrYREQ4XP8/видео.html
Love your videos, and I think it would be cool if you watch her documentary"Once Aurora", it shows how she became and artist and the hard times that came with that, I think it's important to watch it to understand her as an artist. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/JTYXwKfOvnw/видео.html
Love your videos man all the from down here in Australia! I personally think you should listen to Eminem 'my darling' it's a song about Eminem battling slim shady but all in his head. Anyway, stay awesome and keep blasting out these epic reactions
ok haven't heard anything Aurora.. first time I watch this for nf and em.. but got different genres try witch house or maybe female progressive vocal trance.. maybe some sarah lynn trance best artist underrated
this song left me absolutely speechless the first time I heard
Aurora used A little place called the moon as outro in the recent Norwegian tour 😍😍😍 and also greatly underrated this song, what an unearthly beautiful song this is

I absolutely agree, the songs on this album, as the others, are supposed to be listened to in the order Aurora has set them. There is a meaning to it👍
omg im discovering more lore i love itt
I love how the music develops a pulse behind her breath. This is life

Great outro for this great album. It is almost no lyrics but it sounds so cool and dreamy. For sure you can go to moon with Aurora music:)
It is a beautiful little song, is it not! :-) Space odyssey organic little jewel! I am glad you reacted to it! Thank you!:-)
I'm surprised no one has mentioned that this song sound's similar to "Brian Eno - Deep Blue Day." The spacious atmospherics and layers are similar in tone.
I got a definite Eno vibe when I first heard it but couldn't place the actual track ... Just listened, not the one I was thinking of ...

Reminds me of a cowboy movie where the cowboy is trying to keep track of the herd by moonlight on a calm night.

Nice! She is pretty amazing. Murder 5,4,3,2,1 is my favorite of hers. Haunting.

Nice choice!
Reminds me some of swaying and wavy Hawaiian music which has some influence from Japan.

I like this song, her voice is very Lana Del Rey, minus the 1920s mindset ofc😅

Yes indeed I would second that
I hope he reads the comments to understand that this song wasnt quite the perfect choice to more or less start the album...
Agreed. I heard a few tell me that I'm a bit out of order on these, but it was still a fantastic song! I love pretty much anything Aurora!
Can you please react to her music video Cure For Me? :)
Is this a collab with Enya? That super sounds like Enya singing the "ooh"s
