It’s definitely not a -2 but I personally think joker wins the matchup. It’s not too bad though either way, zss just has to work harder imo
@@colbyclay5911 Probably. I can see a good argument for it being -1. But Marss believes that Joker beats ZSS without Arsene, which is kinda nuts.
@@GessekaiMoon I kind of agree with that, that’s why I’d give it a -1 cuz I think joker doesn’t NEED arsene. But zss has tools too so it’s probably even if it was base joker the whole time. I think his hit boxes challenge hers really well making air to air not as good for her as she wants, and his grounded hitboxes are good anti airs. Arsene gives him that extra range and power that definitely elevates it
@@colbyclay5911 I'd definitely say it's a -1 in ZSS's favor without Arsene, but to each their own. ZSS has a frame 4 up B out of shield that kills near the ledge at 80-90, crazy frame data in general, can zone Joker, and get out of disadvantage against him pretty easily. The problem with base Joker against a character like ZSS is that it can be somewhat hard to kill. It takes a lot of precision to kill with base Joker at a high level, which is why Leo doesn't use him online. ZSS can rob stocks, has better punishes, is hard to hit, and apply tons of pressure. Base Joker is pretty much just hard to hit and can challenge her aerials.
