Yes please share grieving ❤
Sherry, I am a hospice chaplain and deal with patients and families dealing with grief on a daily basis. Your encouragement to write out thoughts and prayers is so important in the grief process. I’ve had much formal training and education about grief, but it is the daily process of facing our grief that brings healing. There is no set timeline, as each person processes grief differently. If grief is present due to death of a loved one, there may be a period of time that a person feels in shock or may feel numb, but in time, the daily practice of journaling or writing out feelings is a pathway to recovery. This is such a useful video and I know it will be helpful to many.
Thank you for sharing from your wisdom and experience, Beverly. As someone who is a writer by nature, I find that putting pen to paper is a bit part of the letting go process. ♥
It has been for me too. There is something about picking up a pen and seeing your words on paper that seems to help and validates our feelings. And in time, to go back and see how The Lord carried you through the dark times. Your words today have been so full of compassion and although The Lord did not cause your grief, He is using your tender heart and experience with grief to help others walk their grief journey.
This is perfect timing. I just lost my 93 year old father on 1/23/25. I have had a lot of losses in the past few years - divorce, loss of dreams, physical health decline. Thank you for sharing this resource.
I'm so sorry, Theresa. Experiencing compounded grief can be especially hard. Sending hugs to you.♥
Thank you so much for this video. I am grieving everyday over my daughter and mom. They are both alive but we do not have the closeness we once had. It’s a long story but I pray every day for the lord to bring that love we once had between us.
I am sorry, Dawne. Family relationships can be so challenging. I pray the Lord will bring reconciliation and closeness once more, friend. Until then, I pray that you will be encouraged and feel the Lord's presence and peace in your heart. ♥
I could listen to you all the time! I would love to watch more about grief. You are a beautiful person, Sherry.
Oh thank you, Pam. You are so kind. Maybe we can have more discussions about grief because it seems to be an important topic for so many of us. Blessings to you♥
I would definitely like more videos on grieving...this is a much needed subject for many...me included
There are no coincidences . Five years ago on this day I was sitting with my mom as she was getting ready to cross over to be with Jesus. At 11:00 pm she went home to heaven, so all day this has been on my mind. I really needed this tonight, yes she is in a better place but I really miss her.Thank you for your words and sweet spirit!
I am so sorry about the death of your mom five years ago, Shelia. I know I don't have words to make it better. But I do pray our loving Heavenly Father will hold you close and comfort you, friend. I pray he brings you peace as you remember so many great times with your mom. ♥
You are such a great comfort to me and to others, im sure. Big hug to you. Blessings!!
Thank you so much, NIlda. Blessings, friend. ♥️
Oh Sherry! I have walked in your moccasins with one of my adult sons.
My love & prayers are with you ❤️
Thank you Donna. I appreciate you!♥
Beautiful ❤️🩹 I lost my only grandbaby, John Paul at 5 hours old in 2015 followed by my only son’s suicide death 6 months later. I just have to say - having weathered 10 years of this ongoing loss/grief (it doesn’t go away) - I am stronger in my faith, Jesus is all in all for me and I am actually happy, living a full life, serving the poor and the homeless, baking bread for others and mentoring other Moms who have lost an only. That being said……..I am ALWAYS open to new ways to walk this path, to journal and to share with others. I can just imagine what you and your husband and family go through, having lost your son and yet not lost him……..knowing he is under the same sky. God bless you……….you are a godly woman giving hope to many.
Veronica, I am so sorry for the loss of your grandson and then your son. What a tremendous testimony you have shared here, how the Lord Jesus has carried you and given you the grace to minister to others. Praise the Lord for this. How encouraging for others to read these words and know that, even in sorrow, we can serve.
Thank you for your kindness and your words of understanding. It means so much to me.
Blessings ongoing to you, my friend. ♥
@ 💜thank you💙
Thank you Sherry. My best friend passed away on 12/30/2025. I miss her so much...she had cancer but I know she is with Jesus because she was a child of God. She taught me so much of God and prayer. I can call on her almost every day and now I don't have anyone to talk too and give her kind of advice. This was very helpful.
I am so very sorry Madelein. There just aren't words to say. I'm sure you feel a tremendous void and sadness. At the same time, what a gift that you had such a friend. I pray the Lord will wrap his arms of love around you and comfort you as only he can. ♥
@thehomespunwife Thank you very much...today was just one of those days that I need to let my sad feeling go. Yes, she was a awesome friend and I keep telling myself that I was privileged to be able to have known her and be a friend to her also. If it's hard for me, I can just think how hard it most be for her husband. She was only 55yr old..her youngest son just turned 20 in December 10days before so passed. Thank you so much for your love and understanding.
So grateful that God put this subject on your heart to share with all of us. I will be praying for each person who is affected by any form of grief that they are experiencing. Thank you Ms Sherry! Truly Love you! God bless your ministry!
Thank you for watching and for praying for others. Sending love to you, friend!!♥
Thank you, Sherry! I was so glad to see you pop up on my notifications! This year is the tenth year since my husband passed away. I cannot believe how quickly the time goes by. I retired last year so I am getting used to not having people to talk to every day, as my kids and grandkids do not live near me. That is another level of grief. But the worst grief I am feeling right now is the fact that my son has renounced his faith and is no longer walking with the Lord. That grief runs so deep. I cling to Jesus in the best way I know and pray for the day my son will find true salvation in Christ Jesus. We must not give up hope! Our hope is in Him!
Hi Heidi. Thank you for being vulnerable and telling us about the stage you are in. I can see where the combination of being retired, missing your husband, missing your connection to co-workers and the public, as well as dealing with the pain of your son's situation, is a difficult one.
I am so glad you have a strong faith and continue to proclaim your hope in Christ. I pray the Lord will bring you peace, even in the midst of difficult times. I know he can. Sending love, friend.
♥
I don't think I have ever stopped grieving. Things, loss, retirement, aloneness and it never stops.
I am so sorry, Denise. I am praying for you right now, friend...that Jesus will give you peace in this moment. ♥️
Sherry, I'm in tears. I needed this message so much. I have been in grief for several years over a family member. Many times I feel so guilty, because I feel like I'm just feeling sorry for myself because my life just hasn't gone in the direction I wanted. Many times I feel so isolated and alone in my grief. Your channel has been such a blessing! 💕
Oh Martha. I'm so sorry. I would give you a big hug if I could. How important it is the share our grief...to let it out, whatever it is. Life can be so hard. But I know that God has a plan for you.....and it's a plan for your good, Martha. He loves you so much. I pray that he will reassure you right now and comfort you. Sending love, friend. ♥
Dear Sherry, thank you so much for making this video. You are so right, most of us are grieving over a loss of some kind. Your voice is so kind, soothing, & caring, thank you. I look forward to your videos & what I can learn from you.
Just think of all the ones you help even though you're walking in grief yourself.
I'm sending you hugs & prayers.
Thank you so much Susie. What a sweet comment. I appreciate you and your encouragement. Sending love and blessings to you, friend. ♥
Thank you Sherry for sharing this message and great book! I look forward to more videos on grief.
Thank you for taking time to watch, Kim!♥
🙏🙏🙏💖🌅... Oh my goodness dear Sister! Thank you so much for sharing on this topic! I too, have a grieving heart and I know there are many of us that do! This is so helpful! ❤️✝️❤️
Thanks so much for joining me for this topic, Lisa. ♥
Thank you Sherry! You are such a soothing and comforting person. Thank you so much!
Thank you, Brenda! I hope you are doing well!♥
So absolutely true!!❤❤
All in God’s timing! I ordered one, and it’s what I need. Thank you Ms. Sherry. ❣️
Yes, when my oldest son was born I had such dreams for him. But he when through a lot and after he was a year old I knew he wouldn’t be doing the thing’s I dreamed of. In May Dennis will be 31 years old. God has blessed me and my family in ways I would never have imagined. God’s blessings to you and your family! ❤️🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing, Kathy! Dennis sounds like a great guy! Blessings to you♥
Sherry, you are so precious. God bless you. ❤
Thank you very much♥
Sherry, please continue your teachings on grief. You are so right that grief encompasses more than physical death. It’s such a blessing and a comfort to hear you acknowledge that and to read the compassionate comments others leave. This is the most uplifted and hopeful I’ve felt in a very long time. Looking forward to hearing more from you on this topic. And I much appreciate the recommendation for the book.
How comforting it is to know we aren't alone...that others also experience the things we feel. I think this is why the Lord wanted us to connect with one another...because he knew we needed love and support from other believers. I hope to speak more about grief because it appears to be a topic of interest. Blessings to you, friend, and thanks for watching. ♥
You are such a blessing! I’m grieving and so are several that I know. This book sounds like a perfect gift. Thank you for the suggestion. And yes, please speak more on this subject. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching, Donna. Sending hugs to you. ♥
This is exactly what I needed today! Thank you for explaining that grief feelings are not always due to a loss of a loved one to death. I have this same style book but it is for scripture memory.
God Bless and keep all who grieve today.
Thank you for watching and sharing this comment, Anna. Sending hugs.♥
Sherry, I have learned that grief becomes a big part of our lives as we get older. Thank you for acknowledging grief and loving people enough to reach out to them. I’m going to get this book and use it as I continue working through the grief of losing my best friend, my mom. I will also purchase it for friends who find themselves in the grief process. You are a treasure.
Hi Loni. Thank for joining me for this video. I'm sorry about your mom. My own mother had to work through much sadness when her mom passed away. I had another friend tell me, "When your mom dies, it feels like the lifeline is cut. You have lost the person you could depend on to love you the most." I pray that the Lord will comfort you and this book will be a help in the grieving process. Sending hugs.♥
Thank you so much Sherry. I am a widow. My first husband and I were married 41 years and my second husband and I were married 17 years. They were both wonderful men. In between I lost my son to suicide . He was facing a divorce. It was good to read some of the comments regarding that you never seem to get over grieving for a loss. I keep thinking this will stop sometime but it doesn't. I have grown in the Lord through these different losses and I have a good life which I thank God for all the time. He is gracious to the widow as He promises in scripture. But there is an aloneness that I can't describe. And it will hit at any given time without warning. I want to get this book and perhaps I can use it to help myself and others in my church that are widows or have other losses. I'm 83 and pray God will use me till He takes me home or the rapture happens. God bless you Sherry. You are so easy to listen too. You have a comforting voice and message.
Thank you so much for sharing about yourself. I think your message is one so many need to read. As I have been studying about grief, trauma, and healing, I have learned that healing does not mean grief and trauma take us back to the people we used to be before. Instead, they forever change who we are. Accepting this is a big part of healing. It also helps to realize, as you said, there will always be moments when are confronted by various issues related to what we've been through. Grief isn't something we get over. It's something we go through. I hope to talk more about this in a future video.
I pray this book will bless you, friend. I can already see that you are a blessing to others because you have blessed me. ♥️
This video was a blessing, Sherry. ♥️ I have always associated “grief” with death of a loved one. But after this “visit” with you, I can see I have allowed grief to overshadow many of my days while I go about doing the needed things on the outside, yet my heart was heavy on the inside. I am in my 60’s, and I am struggling with health issues and our retirement is far from what I had dreamed it would be.😢 We are good and my husband helps me with the household chores and has been a blessing to me over the years and took care of me after my many surgeries. Thank you for sharing this, your thoughts and hurts as well. You are such a blessing and precious friend to me. I love you! Have a blessed day.♥️🥰♥️
Hi Drema....Health issues can really get us down. It affects more than our bodies. It puts limitation in place that we have no control over and that can be frustrating. Then, it can affect our emotions too. I am glad you and your husband have each other for support. That's a blessing. And I am thankful to have you for a friend. Sending lots of love and hugs to you!♥
@ Bless you, Sherry. ♥️ Having your friendship and prayers mean more than words can say. Again I want to tell you that you have been such a blessing and an uplift to my life. Lots of love and hugs!♥️🤗♥️
Sherry, you are such a blessing to others! Thank you for helping others even tho you are grieving yourself. May God Bless you!
Thank you for your sweet comment, Arlene. Blessings to you. ♥
Good afternoon Sherry, thanks a lot for this beautiful video . I lost my husband back in 2007 but I still miss him. I have 2 children, my son is good but my daughter wants nothing to do with me.I am dealing with a lot of grief right now also a lot of health problems .Everytime I see one of your videos. I watch . You sure are a blessing to me. Love and God Bless❤️🙏🏻
Hi Carolyn. I'm so sorry for your health issues and the situation with your daughter. Both things can compound sadness and grief. I pray the Lord will encourage you with his peace. Sending love and blessings, friend. ♥
Thank you so much for your encouragement- I am sure there are many of us who needed this ❤ May the Lord continue to bless your ministry, marriage, and family.
Thank you for spending time with me in this video. I appreciate your thoughtful message. God bless you!♥
Perfect timing. Just so soothing and comforting to hear you speak on this. God bless you.
Thank you very much, Linda. ♥
This book is amazing!!!!! I didn’t know it existed until I watched this video. I also have a son that has strayed away from God and have hung out with the wrong people and tried many things and more. Also, now he has mental health issues. I bought this book and 3 others. I love how it gives you prompts to write your thoughts on. I bought the following books; the prayer map for women, the prayer map when you don’t know what to pray and the prayer map for Hope and Healing.
Thank you for sharing, Kendra! I think these books are excellent tools.
What a blessing you are! I love the idea of that little book. I have two out of three sons that do not speak to me. Long story, but their dad told them many lies about me. I never thought about the fact that it is grief that I have felt over this. Thank you friend, for turning your camera on and saying what the Holy Spirit lays on your heart! I love you! 💜
Thank you so much Kathy! This video was not the one I even intended to film. It was quite spontaneous for me to share it so I know it was the Holy Spirit at work. Thank you for sharing about your sons. I lift them up to the Lord, asking him to give them opportunities to get things right in their hearts. I love you, my friend!💜
This is a wonderful mission. Grief is powerful, overwhelming and the enemy can use it to damage your relationship with the Heavenly Father but, God can strengthen it beyond measure. There are many types of grief from loss of a friendship, a parent, even that parent's entire career, friends etc. leaves your family. A person may grieve when a disease diagnosis changes everything and a way of life. There are so many kinds of loss.
Absolutely. I think sometimes we only associate grief with loss through death. But there are many things that can create grief in our hearts.
Please continue this series. You are so comforting and I would like to soak up any wisdom that you have on this or any other subject. May the Lord bless you and keep you and may his face shine on you and give you peace.
Thank you so much for this blessing. What an encouragement. ♥
I saw your channel and clicked on it. just lostst my sister and I am so heartbroken. Your voice is so soothing. I will have to look for that book. Thank you for sharing.
I am so sorry Linda. My heart goes out to you. I am praying for you right now, that the Lord will bring you comfort. ♥️
I hope to do some future videos on this topic.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
Greetings Sherry! This was just what I needed. I found myself in tears as you spoke. Yes, I would love more about grief and recovery from loss. Thank you so much for being there! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Thanks for watching, Jean. Love you. ♥️
Your videos are always so calming and gentle - reminders that when things are out of control (our control) we can look to our Savior and know he has us! Thank you for these!
Thank you so much for that kind word, Mandy. So thankful for a wonderful Savior!♥
Sherry we too have a daughter that left and no longer wants to be in our lives. I think most people keep it hidden because people who this has not happened to will judge and not understand. Until this happened to us I would never have thought a child could do such a thing unless the parents messed up badly somewhere. Now I know better. I’m so sorry that this has happened to you too but there is much comfort in knowing that we’re not alone. Thank you for sharing and all of your encouraging messages. I truly love you.
Thanks for sharing this, friend. I am so sorry this has happened with your daughter.
There are many emotions you feel when you go through something like this. But I have found a lot of support and acceptance by opening my heart about it. When we can express our pain, it creates an avenue for others to gain understanding and show compassion. That's when healing begins.
Love you, 'bobba.'♥️
Thank you for all you do ! I love to hear your videos they touch me ! You are a blessing to me ! My sons was raised in church and now they are away from God ! I am praying they get right with God ! They know what they have to do ! Love you ❤️God Bless you
Amen, Lajuanda. I love that you are praying for your sons. There is so much power in prayer. Blessings to you~♥
Mrs. Sherry you're such a sweet, sweet person !! I'm so happy I came across your channel a few month's back !! ❤
So happy to have you here, Susan. Thank you!♥
Thank you Sherry for sharing this booklet....I will be purchasing it... Just like your friend, I too have had the experience of feeling lost....I reached out to you before and told you about my husbands passing, I feel like I am lost sometimes too....It is the worst feeling...I feel like my chest is crushing at times...missing him so much..and not knowing how to do things that he normally would take care of....He really spoiled me..and I loved him so very much...Married for 40 years. I have a Son also that passed away 10 years ago as well....I miss him terribly also. He was 40 years old , a grown man but still my Boy. The grieving have been completely different for both. Anyway Sherry....I seem to always get something positive from listening to your video....Appreciate your ministry to others. ♥
Hi Susan. Thank you for the kind words. I am sorry for all the pain and loss you have experienced. I remember you messaging me before. I hope that writing in this book will help release so much of what is deep inside that needs to come out on the page. Praying the Lord's peace will fill your heart right now, friend. ♥
Thank you Sherry for this video. I lost my husband more than five years ago and I have accepted it. However, now I am grieving the loss of our daughter who hasn’t communicated with me since the end of October. It is very painful, and I have reached out with text “offering an olive branch” to bring healing, but she hasn’t responded.
I am so sorry, Kathy. There aren't words to make these things better. Jesus is the only one who can sustain us in our grief. My mama has always said, "Where there's life, there's hope." And I cling to that hope that can only be found in Jesus.
Thanks for sharing about your daughter with me. I will pray for her right now. ♥
@ Thank you Sherry…all prayers are very much appreciated. God’s Blessings!!
What a wonderful book... and I am grateful that you talk about the things we all deal with, the big things. You have such an encouraging way of framing these issues that I appreciate so much! I would definitely be interested in some videos on the topic of grieving. I'm going to get the book you shared!
Thanks for watching, Karen. I am grateful for your kind words. ♥
❤ Thank you!
♥
Thank you, Sherry.
♥️
Hi Sherry,
Thank you for sharing the book that you found. I am struggling with a couple of types of grief right now so I will certainly be purchasing the work book that you shared in your video. Also, I think a video or a series of videos on grieving would be much appreciated and a big help to many. Thank you for all that you do. 💛 🤟
Thank you for this, Sherry. I sometimes feel like grief has been my closest companion all my life, welcome or not. Lately it feels a bit like a straight jacket at times. Making it hard to function. So thankful the Lord is closer than the pain and loss, and that he is my lighthouse guiding me through these tumultuous seas. Blessings on you always. 🦋 Margaret Elaine
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings, Margaret Elaine. I love your vision of the Lord being a lighthouse. That's imagery I can embrace. Love and blessings to you, friend. ♥
Thank you Sherry for touching on the subject of grieving this has really touched me. Thank you ❤❤
Thank you, Nora♥
It’s so strange Sherry, I had just finished writing out Ecclesiastes 3 and thinking about what it all meant and turned on my iPad and noticed you had made a video. It relates so well with that verse, it’s ok to feel how you feel, it doesn’t matter how long it takes, it will get easier with the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏻 Thank you 🙏🏻
Amen, friend. Thanks for sharing. ♥
I've just found your videos recently. Today's the prayer map for the grieving map. Sounds like something I would like. I got a divorce 40 yrs ago, I'm 80 yrs old now & I grieve every day about the divorce. Even though it was an abusive situation I can see the impact it has been on my children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Some days it's almost unbearable.
I know the Lord has forgiven me but I have a hard time forgiving myself.
I am sorry to hear this Judy and I send lots of love your way. So many things about life are beyond our control and this creates a great need for Jesus. I pray he will bring you comfort and peace as you rely on him. He has a wonderful plan for your life. ♥
Thank you for sharing this! My close friend died 1 year ago today and my mom died in August and I am having a hard time!
❤Thanks for this video Sherry. I miss my sister and other family members. Its harder, it helps to hear how others deal with loss. God sends us the comforter.
Amen, Kathy. We know that the Lord meets all our needs and brings peace and comfort to our hearts. Thank you for spending time with me in this video, friend. ♥
Hi Sherry, I'm catching up on your videos. Grief is something that is hard to talk about because it affects people differently. It's something you can't put a timeline on. But I think we should talk about it. We should be able to help each other and support each other. Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing your store with us. You're a true blessing to so many. Pam
Hi Pam! I've been missing you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. ♥

Lost Ken on 26 December 2024, very raw pain 🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊
I am so sorry, Sylvia. I have been praying for you, friend. ♥️
Thank you dear Sherry .. I would love to hear more about grief .. it’s something that happens to all of us ..! I’ve so many kinds of grief ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks for watching, Sandy. I think there's much interest in this topic so I hope we can share about it again soon. Sending love. ♥
Hello Sherry. I just listened to your video on grief. I’m not sure if you would call this grief but my husband and I are taking care of my mother in law. She has dementia and she going down fast. My husband works and I stay home with her. My life has completely changed but I care for her 24/7. I guess I feel trapped. It is very hard to get her out by myself so we stay at home a lot. Anyway, thank you for your encouraging words.
Hi Becky. I am sorry about your mother-in-law and her issues with dementia. It's such a challenging disease. I admire your desire to take care of her at home.
Since you are providing 24/7 care, I can see where this might become overwhelming to you. This can cause you to grieve the loss of the life you once had.
I pray that you might find a solution to this, Becky. Perhaps someone could help you an hour or two per week, allowing you to get out for some time by yourself. You might try calling your local Council on Aging and see if they have assistance available. Praying for you, friend. ♥️
This was such a useful and touching message. Thank you so much. I'm sorry about your son. I think more messages about grief would be so helpful to so many of us.
Thanks for your interest in this topic, Becky. I appreciate your kind words. ♥
I am so, so very sorry to hear about the grief you have endured with your sons. That must be unbelievably difficult and heartbreaking. Father, I pray for healing and restoration for this family, we trust that you will work all things out and that nothing is impossible for You. You are a Waymaker and a Miracle Worker and our hope is in you God,, in Jesus's Name.
Amen! Thank you, Lord!
I appreciate your sweet prayer, Marlene. ♥
Yes please. I ve been stuck in grief for years. ❤❤
I'm so sorry, Linda. Sending hugs, friend. ♥
Thank you so much for sharing this, and sharing yourself. I am hoping this will be of help to a friend of mine. I think more videos on the topic of grief would be helpful.
Thank you for watching Julie and for sharing with your friend. Blessings to both of you!♥
Death is so painful and very difficult time of grieving.
Some of the other sorrows you shared can be even more difficult than death. With death, people want to participate in the situation and bring comfort.
Loving a prodigal child or losing a mate to divorce is a deep sorrow, but there are no flowers or meals brought in, people often leave folks alone with their broken hearts.
This is when we are pressed more deeply into Christ alone, but some suffering is lonelier than other suffering.
It's important to realize that all suffering people need extra loving care.
Amen, friend. I have said this often myself. There is something final about death, that allows the completion of grief. Not that grief ends but that it's there and, as you said, recognized by others. You can receive compassion and care more readily. But other types of grief are open-ended....more shameful (for some reason)...more isolating. I appreciate that you mentioned this.
I have grief on several levels. Broken heart.
I am so sorry Kimberly. I am praying for you right now, friend. May the Lord's comfort surround you.♥
Please share more about grief, esp grief over non physical losses.
I plan to do more videos about grief. Thank you for the suggestion.
It will be very nice if you could do a video or several videos😊 about grief, it is a subject that I love to know more about,
♥
I do think some videos regarding grief would be well received and much appreciated. 😌
❤-Brenda

Your earrings are beautiful
Thank you Anna!
Thank you Sherry for another encouraging video. I’m sure you are a blessing to many. I’m going through a very difficult season and yes grief relating to loss of our daughter’s relationship is a big part of it, plus health problems, unable to connect with a good church, marriage struggles and feeling that I’m sinking down under heaviness, but I am clinging to my Lord Jesus, remembering how many trials He has already brought me through!
Thanks for sharing about this season you are in, Carolyn. It often helps to know others are also having trials or heartaches. We can offer support and encouragement from a place of personal understanding. I love that you are clinging to Jesus! I know he is faithful and will carry you each step of the way. ♥
WOW! Sherry , I really needed to hear this today . Thank you ! ❤
Thank you so much, Danna. ♥️
