I love the idea but the price is a bit steep. One of those "foldable" shields cost 15 bucks. I agree it looks amazing but I can't get past the price point.
I think this is a homerun must have option for the 3 and Y. I have never owned a car that did not have a shade for the sunroof or even panoramic roof. Even one of our daily driver cars, a 2019 Alltrack SEL (fully optioned) at only 41k new in 19 when we got it came with an opening (only 1/2 opens but, very nice) panoramic roof having a factory 1 touch shade that operates exactly like this one except it extends and retracts to the rear vs the front of the vehicle. Absolutely a must being that the roof is panoramic and the interior is black leather, while having heated seats, ventilated seats were not an option in the US market. I should look into retrofitting the ventilation from another market as the seats are real, soft, upgraded supple leather with ventilation holes. The 24 VW Arteon Sel Premium R line we had for about a year had ventilated seats. Same upscale supple VW leather (the Arteon is not a great seller in the US as it is a $53k upscale VW). I bet I can retrofit the Arten ventilation into the Alltrack. The Alltrack is currently the only vehicle that we have that does not have ventilation. A shame because every other aspect of the car except Hp/Tq is exceptional. Even the Fender audio system absolutely blows away the Premium Hardman Karden sound system in my over 100k 24 BMW M4 Competition XDrive. I have considered selling/trading our Alltrack for something new but, comparing it to $45-$60k vehicles our Alltrack is so nice in so many ways especially for a car we paid under 40k for , has held it's value well still being worth mid to high 20s and the fact it is still under factory warranty until 11/2026 or another 45k miles.

I would have to agree. The price for admission is not cheap, but boy...has it been worth it!

I couldn't agree more with you! A $70K+ vehicle without this is ludicrous.
Great video 🙏👍
Definitely a must have in the summer heat of SoCal.
If Tesla were watching your video they would contact this manufacturer, make a bulk buy, offer the shade as a $2,000 option on the 3 and Y, lol
This has proven to be a useful addition to the Y. My wife uses it every day!
