Stop putting him down! He is a monkey infant. He needs to cling to you all the time so that he feels secure. The more secure you make him feel, the sooner he will feel comfortable leaving you and being more independent. Trying to force him to be independent when you haven’t allowed him to form a secure bond with you is the exact wrong thing to do. You really don’t know how to care for a monkey infant. You are not meeting his developmental needs.
