  • I did it! I bought a new Chinese mini excavator from Ritchie Bros Auctioneers. Let's load up my MachPro MP30 and give it a quick look over to see what I got. Then we'll take a look around at some of the other interesting equipment they have on site.

Check back for more content on the MachPro MP30 and possibly some other neat mini heavy equipment.
    Thanks for watching my adventure.

You don't need to modify every implement in the VicSec attachment pack. Just the Quick Attach. I cut the ears off and welded on two 3"x4" .33" thick L brackets and drilled 1 1/8" holes with the right spacing for the pins and use the quick-attach for every implement.

I have an MP46 and I can't figure out the difference between it and the MP30. I have noticed the yellow machines seem to be the 739cc gas motor and the red machines seem to be either a Yanmar or Kubota diesel. Mine is red with the Yanmar 3TNV88F diesel motor.

@@lwwarren Very true. I'm curious if the one tonne accessories will hold up to the leverage the 2.5 tonne machine can dish out though. They probably can but it is something to think about.

@@lwwarren RB brought in a few diesel powered machines from MachPro to tease us and then almost exclusively started brining in the gassers. I have been playing with my machine now that I have a bunch of the sketchiness removed and it seems to be performing well. Time will tell if the gas engine will stand up.

Awesome Doug, I have been chasing a MP30 for awhile now, just North Battleford seems too far away. Saskatoon trip for a Stand On and Mini 1.2 ton was far enough from Fort Frances. I look forward to following your journey with the Hoe. I have 80 hours on the 1.2 Ton and 10 hours on the Stand On. The only problem I have encountered was a Key Switch, and trying to keep the Hoe Cool.

You need chains and binders- never use straps on heavy equipment

I absolutely agree. Never do it that way ever again. I made it home without any trouble but the straps were more of a hope than a secure attachment.

Man I don’t know how I missed this video, I don’t remember seeing it in my subscription feed??? Congrats on the new mini! You should be able to get a lot of work done around your place with that. I’m at work so can’t watch the entire video till later this evening. You are going to love having a mini like this. My little 1 ton is a work horse around my place. I just got 30 hours on it in 5 months and it’s been great 👍

Thank you for the kind comment Mike. I have a few videos on the go about the MP30. So far it is a fantastic machine other than it like to shred the lawn. Your videos about having a mini excavator around helped me decide it was a worthwhile investment for me too. Now I just have to resist the temptation to buy a Kei truck, LOL.

Man that’s a good price on the Machpro 300 skid steer! I need to go to one of these auctions some time. I got a Rippa on Order, it’s basically the Machpro 300 but I paid a bit more for it. I guess the only thing I got going is the place I ordered it from offers a 1 year warranty and handle tracking down parts if they are needed. I definitely appreciate seeing the machines at auction. Thanks 😊

@@Mikefestiva I thought $3000 Canadian was pretty reasonable. While I don’t really need one of the track loaders, for that price it would almost be worth it to get it, shoot some videos and then send it down the road.
      Thanks for the Sub

Did your tool kit come with a single loose wing bolt that seems to not go anywhere as well like mine did

This is Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. This particular site is in North Battleford, Saskatchewan but they have branches all over the place. Check online for your nearest location. This site was not my nearest location but it was the one with the machine I wanted at I price I could stand.

It's all about expectations. I know it is not anywhere near as good as a Bobcat, Kubota or Deere but I would not ever be able to justify owning a new machine from any of them as a home gamer. For giggles I looked up what a new 2.5 tonne Bobcat would be, $46.5k US. That is about 6 times what I paid for this one.
