My German Shepherd did this also. We had to take the door handle off so that she would quit letting herself back in the house when we didn't want her to come in LOL
Honestly yes mine is smart but he is also incredibly stubborn and prefers to be babied. He is a cane corso crossed with a presa canario a breed of mastiff that comes from the Canary Islands off of Spain. He is 9 months old next month and he has the vocals and stubbornness of a husky. If we don't baby him or he lacks attention for more than a second he cries, if he isn't lifted onto the bed he cries and throws himself to the floor. He refuses to close doors but will open them when he wants to if he doesn't he cries until one of us opens or closes the door for him. -_- he is INCREDIBLY dramatic. Also if we say anything bad about him like he isn't allowed to eat our food, or his farts stink,or he stinks he looks us dead in the eye with an offended look and starts screaming at us. Or he just does an exasperated sigh picks up his ball and smacks us with it. He is very affectionate, and loves meeting new peopel and animals, we adore him it's funny and there is never a dull moment since we got him. Note: sometimes as revenge he won't hit us with a ball or scream at us but he knows his farts stink so he will walk right up to us turn around and fart before walking away wagging his tail as we die from the smell.
Yeah, but she did it on her own, so then I wanted a video of her doing it. I was shocked, as she has never been in a place with that kind of door handle before.
It's really not that deep. The door is fine and it was adorable. They can strap a piece of leather to the door handle and it'll make it easy in the future if they choose, but for the moment Luna bringing a friend home, it was absolutely adorable!
