But no she goes right into whatever makeup brand paid her to push an eye pallett. I am not a big fan, but this really was gross. In a few years when the fans are over her and move on. She can have fun trying to get her job at Ulta back.
I don't know, something about her joking about it like it's a complete non-issue to her just speaks volumes about her lack of self awareness. I was completely put off by her "try being an influencer for a day" thing, but tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. This, though, just reeks of ignorance. It truly feels like she thinks because she's an influencer, the rules of the real world don't apply to her. It just rubs me the wrong way.

@@fallenbee I don’t understand why they can’t see that this is part of a bigger issue beyond “just mascara” no one cares about the mascara we care about false advertising, if everyone just let this slide because it’s “just mascara” think about how much more brands and influencers will exploit this because no one picked up on it. This response is almost so bad it's good. she could've just apologized and would've been able to move on with just a scratch to her reputation but instead she does this and it's embarrassing 😩
In my opinion, the fact that she didn't lose more followers and actually somehow ended up with more than before the controversy gives vibes of "I don't HAVE to apologize because it didn't hurt my following." Joking about a controversy implies not only that she isn't apologetic but in her mind it's over and can be openly joked about like it wasn't an issue, and I think it's because it didn't impact her bottom line.
Her/her response comes of as having little self-awareness & it actually infuriates me. However, i'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out ( i predict if there's an apology, it will be similar to James Charles' tbh - liking defensive tweets, backpaddling etc. )

I feel like this was actually the best way for her to respond in HER best interest. Like most influencers that just don’t acknowledge scandals come out the most unscathed
She just rubs me the wrong way but to come on and just mocking the situation and not saying anything and people are still omg omg you r soo beautiful amazing it's sickening how people are so influenced by liars with bad attitudes
It’s so ridiculous She clearly knows everybody is checking her page religiously for updates/apologies so she knew that these two videos with 100% go mega viral. Because we all assume it’s an apology. But jokes on us, she doesn’t care.
I genuinely wonder what L’Oréal thinks. From what I’ve heard from you and many makeup influences (and RUclipsrs in general), brands are very strict about how their “partners” promote products. Like, making sure they’re following FTC guidelines and all. It’s crazy to me that I haven’t seen them address any of this. You’d like with the situation getting so much press they’d force her to take it down or do some type of big PR/ damage control campaign. Just makes me wonder about their business ethics…
What also makes me crazy is seeing if any news outlets are covering the story and seeing little to no real coverage. Any stories about it are like “this random tiktoker is accused of lying about a mascara so I’ll give you an honest opinion!” Like, this is a big story???? Any news outlet could do research about laws surrounding influencer marketing and sponsorships and publish an article about the pitfalls that come with it. Instead, what little coverage that exists in just softball “reviews” that throw in the controversy to pad their article. Like, I smell a payoff somewhere…
Mascara-Gate plus the "Try Being An Influencer For A Day" controversy, combined with the fact that multiple people have said her accent is 100% fake, plus the general shadiness she's been accused of (anyone else remember that situation with the waitress???) and the fact that she broke the law TWICE in one video and literally does not care has made me absolutely despise her. She's so embarrassing at this point and I hope people continue to call her out and clown her.
i legit got into it with her little minions + just had to block her. i commented and said she literally lied to people who rely on her for honest reviews- like what is even the point of influencers if the standard/bar is in HELL and was attacked. 🤣 people are SO WEIRD!!! ZERO INTEGRITY. that's what we get for platforming literal cabbage patch dolls. she is extremely unlikeable

i’d never heard of her before this bc i don’t use tiktok nor do i wear makeup, but everything i’ve seen abt her from supporters and critics has shown me a very disingenuous, money-hungry, superficial person. beyond lashgate, her heavily editing her photos to look absolutely undistinguishable from what she actually looks like even with 40 layers of makeup & her using the horrific overturn of roe v wade to sell her product immediately made me disgusted by her. this response of hers is so nasty. her playing into the controversy like it’s a joke and not her committing a crime and teasing ppl with “we all know why we’re here”…. some ppl really don’t deserve to have any influence on anyone, much less 14 million kids.
She has posted FOUR videos today!!! Clearly she doesn't care about lying and is just going to ignore it. I hate that I'm surprised by her lack of response
So here’s my opinion on why she’s not apologising. If she apologises that would be admitting that she used fake eyelashes then she would be admitting that’s she’s guilty of false advertising and that could get her into big legal trouble.
I mean I notice with a lot of influencers that if they never respond to drama and keep posting that they don’t see consequences for their actions and when they do address it that tends to call more issues for them so I understand that she didn’t apologise and is gonna keep posting because that way in the long run her career won’t be affected but it is going to continuously ruin her reputation
Integrity, good ethical behavior & honesty ARE still important (for those of us with a moral compass). These "influencers" have gotten so old - stop supporting these frauds people 🤦🏾♀️🎪🤡
The beauty community as a collective has been anticipating a response from her for days.. and THIS is it? ::Womp Womp:: 🙄 ETA: About the Mikayla RUclips channel, there's actually a few large creators/streamers (like they each have millions of subs/followers) that have multiple channels that clip their content/vods and upload them on RUclips and the owners of the IP don't strike them. Most notably Hasan Piker and Charlie White (MoistCritikal). They've spoken about it and basically, they don't want to be the reason that whoever runs the fake channels can't pay their bills. Don't know if that's what's going on w/Mikayla, but that's something that does happen.
I honestly don’t think this is how Mikayla would react to that though because of how petty she is and the whole "it’s so hard to be an influencer" thing, she probably wouldn’t allow people just uploading her videos and profiting off of it lol.
@Solanum I mean, it's also possible that someone else started the channel and then Mikayla bought it from them when she blew up. Unfortunately, until someone comes out with some kind of explanation, we'll never know what's really going on with it.
People could be following purely just to see when she uploaded a apology. When someone does a story time on there I follow purely to catch up when they unload next parts.
Apologizing only makes things worse for influencers, no one is going to accept the apology, so I kinda get why they sweep everything under the rug. Edit: I mean, the purpose of an apology is not to have it be accepted, it’s just to say you’re sorry, but I don’t think she’s sorry at all, so I’d rather have nothing than a fake apology, that’s just more manipulation.
There’s a part of me that wonders if she legally cannot talk about it yet. I saw a rumor going around that the company could have approved her doing this and she could probably go after them for that and be unable to speak about it.
Allegedly in the loreal contract the post has to be up for 30 days and they didnt like the other versions of the video that she has sent them so they asked her to put on false lashes and loreal assured her that it isnt false advertisment or breaking the law.
it’s upsetting that she’s gonna get away w it she’s gonna still have a cult following and no consequences because she’s rich, and the rich are put on a pedestal
None of these "influencers" apologise anymore. I react to older YT's and one was so horrible about a lady she met in a lift that there was a page full of comments about it on her channel and she just carried on and said nothing. They think they are above criticism it's sick. :0) x
The increase of followers could be for two reasons: people following for an update about the mascara drama or she bought bots to make up for the amount of people unfollowing her. Idk if bots buying is still a thing lol
It’s obvious that she cannot make a statement about the legality of things without lawyers approving it. But to come back and ignore the situation altogether and profit off of the attention she’s getting from deception is abhorrent.
If I'm being charitable, she might not be saying anything because she's dealing with legalities behind the scenes. Investigation or, you know, not admitting to anything publicly because it can be used against you in the court of law, yada yada. If I'm being myself and giving her the decency of believing the best in people, despite the evidence she continually gives us to not trust the liar she often is.
Welcome to a new era of scandals! Just disregarding until it goes away 😂 at one point people will get onto the next thing and forget about ahat was happening in the first place!
I'm gonna be honest, before this mascara thing, I hadn't really watched her. Once I heard about it I went to her tik tok and watched a bunch of videos and I followed her. Maybe not everyone is so upset. I'm probably one of the rare people that will admit that I followed someone in the middle of a "controversy gasp 😱" but I promise I'm not the only one. Literally everyone is talking about this so I guarantee a lot of people who hadn't heard of her before went to see her content and subscribed
Exactly, the conspiracy she is throwing about it being weird that she got more followers is ridiculous. Of course she did, she's in the middle of a controversy and people are curious. Also, I don't see how she broke the law, because she did post that it was a partner post. I think people are going way too far with this because they obviously angry. I understand that but I mean, you really can't believe a thing people on youtube say anymore. It's literally a job for these people, they arent dedicated to their fans they are dedicated to their income...
I’ve seen people comment that when she was selling her Glamlite palette that she said she was donating 50% of the sales to something regarding Roe vs Wade but the person said when people comment asking about it & if she did, she blocks them. I’m wondering if this is true & I haven’t seen anyone make a video about it.
It’s embarrassing how little she thinks of her audience. It really feels like she just doesn’t care that she lied and upset people who support her.

thank you for keeping us updated on everything girl! I have her blocked on tiktok but I’m definitely here for the tea every time you post 🫶🏼
loving the content recently, so peaceful weirdly?
Thanks 💗💗 And yeah much better than the usual super serious stories
So good to have notifications on ♡
i like "sit down. put on a grey hoodie. and apologize" as instructions for anyone who needs to say sorry
Multiple days of content is just amazing 😍
Tbh this was exactly what I expected and I just can't drum up any surprise or emotion at all. 😂
Same here. Disappointed but not surprised 😒
Loving the content! Watching your vids is my guilty pleasure 😂❤
Thank you 💗
Integrity, good ethical behavior & honesty ARE still important (for those of us with a moral compass). These "influencers" have gotten so old - stop supporting these frauds people 🤦🏾♀️🎪🤡
A video every day lately has been a blessing 😍
I’ve been loving these types of videos lately. Keep doing these!
The beauty community as a collective has been anticipating a response from her for days.. and THIS is it? ::Womp Womp:: 🙄
ETA: About the Mikayla RUclips channel, there's actually a few large creators/streamers (like they each have millions of subs/followers) that have multiple channels that clip their content/vods and upload them on RUclips and the owners of the IP don't strike them. Most notably Hasan Piker and Charlie White (MoistCritikal). They've spoken about it and basically, they don't want to be the reason that whoever runs the fake channels can't pay their bills. Don't know if that's what's going on w/Mikayla, but that's something that does happen.
It’s so disappointing 😭
I honestly don’t think this is how Mikayla would react to that though because of how petty she is and the whole "it’s so hard to be an influencer" thing, she probably wouldn’t allow people just uploading her videos and profiting off of it lol.
@Solanum I mean, it's also possible that someone else started the channel and then Mikayla bought it from them when she blew up. Unfortunately, until someone comes out with some kind of explanation, we'll never know what's really going on with it.
daily uploads are getting me THROUGH
People could be following purely just to see when she uploaded a apology. When someone does a story time on there I follow purely to catch up when they unload next parts.
How insane is it that we’ve witnessed James Charles’ drama response and yet this is somehow an even lower level of class
When I tell you I never clicked so fast 😱 I’m invested
Czekałam na ten film!😅
Engagement comment: just started watching, but i'm living for the abundance of content 🧸
I heard it here first....thank you for exposing her duplicitous practices!!
Just loving your makeup while listening to the tea 🍵 🫖
Ooo I cant wait for this I’m rubbin my hands together like a fly
can't wait for the feature-length video covering all this one the second channel
Great idea 😭!
My favorite video recently is yours I’m addicted
There’s a part of me that wonders if she legally cannot talk about it yet. I saw a rumor going around that the company could have approved her doing this and she could probably go after them for that and be unable to speak about it.
Allegedly in the loreal contract the post has to be up for 30 days and they didnt like the other versions of the video that she has sent them so they asked her to put on false lashes and loreal assured her that it isnt false advertisment or breaking the law.
should've made a "grwm : going to jail for fraud (orange makeup look)" video instead 🥴
it’s upsetting that she’s gonna get away w it she’s gonna still have a cult following and no consequences because she’s rich, and the rich are put on a pedestal
None of these "influencers" apologise anymore. I react to older YT's and one was so horrible about a lady she met in a lift that there was a page full of comments about it on her channel and she just carried on and said nothing. They think they are above criticism it's sick. :0) x
Tbh Angelika is being non-stop this weeks, waiting for tomorrow's video about JS 🤣🤣🤣
She gained followers from people who know about the drama and were not following her before so they want to make sure they see her next post.
Just disregarding until it goes away 😂 at one point people will get onto the next thing and forget about ahat was happening in the first place!
when i saw that she posted i was so intrigued… and then severely disappointed 🙄
I mentioned it in my last video on her!
😨😨😨 honestly pls update! i dont think we would mind a short lil update video cuz all of this is just scrumptious
I 100% will 🥰
I love makeup and makeup content, but the way this whole situation DOES NOT matter at all is wild
I know, you'd think she'd done something truly heinous by the way people are really getting heated about this, and I'm just like 👁👄👁
@@krystaking1858 like most people wear falsies and mascara anyways. Even if she did **which hasn’t been confirmed** it’s not that bad.
