If you ever find "Atom Pearls" (which were BB sized, and colored gold) it would be so cool. When I was a kid, they came in small round pill-type paper boxes. There was around 25 of these fairly hard to the touch (solid composition) pearls in the box which was filled with sawdust for protection. We would throw them on a hard surface and they had quite a report. I even shot a few out of my BB gun against a wall and that was neat too. I suspect they are nearly impossible to find these days. I would guess that only some pyro collectors would have them. They are not like the current pop pops or snappers one sees as they were not small bags of composition.
