- Jewish American political scientist and activist, Norman Finkelstein, told Piers Morgan, the people of Gaza have the right to hate the people who destroyed their lives.
Speaking on the Uncensored show, Finkelstein drew comparison with his parents, who survived the Warsaw Ghetto saying they both hated Germany for the suffering that it inflicted on them.

Finkelstein you’re an ambassador for justice and truth. Your immense knowledge and insight of the plight of Palestinians is commendable.
No he's not. Cos the people who destroyed their lives are the people who broke the ceasefire. The people who never built up the infrastructure, but spent billions just on death and destruction. Those people are Hamas.

I watched the whole interview. It hit me particularly hard when he described how he made it his life’s work to stand up for the Palestinians. Then in 2020, he said he gave up on the situation because he was getting older and it seemed futile.
He continued on to say that if, he, a scholar who chronicled and wrote books on the plight of Palestinians had given up on them, then likely just about everyone has given up on them.
He inferred that people living in hell, for whom the whole world has forgotten, born in concentration camp type conditions, are not for him to condemn when they revolt against Israelis. He was visibly ashamed for giving up on Palestinians. He expressed he won’t give up on them again. God bless Palestine and God bless Mr. Finkelstein.
Norm is forgiven. For entirely selfish reasons. I felt and reacted the same way as him. I cared, but I felt completely helpless and powerless and so I gave up. I'm sure TONS of us did.
The Zionists were counting on exactly that. They assumed we were asleep and maybe we were. But they weren't counting on us waking up. The working class across the globe has risen up and united in support of the Palestinian people. Together we are not helpless, we are not powerless.

I feel the same...for at least 50 years I've been aware of the terrible injustices and have felt angry and believed that justice would prevail but then there is media silence, other problems hit the headlines...Hollywood bombards you for decades with propaganda disguised as entertainment and to my own shame I have gradually forgotten about it....I swear that I will not rest until Palestine is free. My grandfather grew up in Armenia. During the First World War, they had to flee. His entire family was killed in Armenia. Until his last day, he referred to anyone who showed no compassion as an Armenian. While it might not be okay but his perspective reflects the deep pain and trauma he endured.

They do not have the right to hate american people today.
The people who oppressed and killed native americans are not longer alive. The americans who are alive today have nothing to do with it.
I feel the same way when i see germans today carry guilt of what happened in WW2. Why ? they were not alive back then and had nothing to do with it so there's no reason for them to feel guilty or be hated by anyone.
The story is different for palestinians for example as they have been and are still being oppressed .

Does Piers Morgan think people are stupid and cant tell from right to wrong? He cuts off people /keeps interrupting people speaking in support of Palestine, let people speak from Israel side and clearly gives an impression that he agrees with them and is on their side. Ask questions that demand an explanation to answer with a context. He is not doing himself any favors here. He calls himself a journalist and his job should be to listen from both sides without any bias. He has lost my respect at least.

I think it hits different given who is speaking. Unfortunately any Muslim who defends Palestine are labeled terrorists, but when a Jew, especially one who is descended from holocaust survivors, it sends a whole new message.

This is the power of articulation. Justice, correctly articulated cannot be refuted. But injustice articulated in such a way can be perceived as just. An oppressor can be painted as the oppressed when we fail to articulate the injustice done, and vice versa. What a brilliant person dr Finkelstein is. May Allah give him the gift of hidaya.
