    Thank you Michele for your high end product review. Those that cannot or don't like to hear about high end products are free to go to another channel. As for me although I cannot afford most of the products I like to know about the products because a girl can always dream..... Keep up the good work.

    Michelle, just keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t mind the haters. I may not buy all the things that you talk about in your channel but i like watching you still. Though you clearly can afford luxury and your routine may come across as high maintenance but you still seem very grounded to me. Your taste is not flamboyant and screaming of their price tags. I trust your opinion because you buy them on your own and not because you were just paid to sing praises about them even when you don’t believe in the product. Congrats on 20k 🎉🥂🙌🏼

    Great video!!!!
    Mine would have to include:
    1-Philosophy: PM miracle worker pads (only thing that gets rid of my aging crepe neck, magical an no one talks about this!)
    2-Lancer: exfoliating face wash (blue bottle)
    3-Tatcha: lip balm in glass jar.
    4-Tatcha: Oil Cleanser (rice one nice too!)
    5-oils from: Kashmere: toning oil (yes, Kim from RHW of Atlanta’s line) for those dry bumps on back of arms, Lancer: Omega hydrating oil for the dry skin on my cheeks and from Kora, their noni glow oil is great too for under eye dryness
    6-Drunk Elephant TLC night serum!!!!!
    7-Sunday Riley C&E antioxidant moisturizer for day time or the one from Oleg Hendrickson.
    8-Koh Gen Do OR Bioderma Cleanser water
    9-Fresh toner (black tea or kombucha) or Le Mer spray the mist
    10-SK-11 eye cream
    Honorable mentions, bonus items would be from
    Kate Somerville: the derma quench liquid lift
    Oleg Hendrickson: transform plus glow cycle retin-alt serum
    Dior: no rinse cleanser
    Fresh: vitamin nectar face cream green jar
    Caudalie: vinopure skin serum, new product
    La Mer: lifting and firming mask or any clay mask from L’Oreal-I know very high end to drugstore! Tatcha violet radiance good too. Eye pads from Peter Thomas Roth-Gold one’s refrigerated
    KOOLA face sunscreen (the one in pink glass bottle, forget the name)
    I’m all excited over this now!!
    Anyone else is any of these?
    Now I have to try a few things you and Natalie love!

I knows what works, I know my brands, I know what’s vegan and cruelty free, which companies have great philosophies, etc. You never lose your experience and wisdom which is the most beneficial in life haha!

    Funny when people start with no offense because they know that what they’re about to say is offensive lol what’s wrong with her liking more expensive line more? How do you know that those shouldn’t work for her compared to less expensive ones? Clearly they do work for her because her skin is amazing. Her channel is mostly luxury, so NO OFFENSE but if you’re not into those why are you still here? 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Don't even want to think about losing all of my skincare, ugh! I could live without makeup if I had to, but NOT my skincare. Great video Michele, you have to use what works for you, thanks for sharing. Clearly some don't want to hear about luxury items, funny they're here in the first place. It's surprisingly unnerving to think about losing ALL your skincare! But it certainly does make what's necessary crystal clear. Thanks for this video and so many others. I very much enjoy hearing your skincare opinions and selections and never tire of seeing your beautiful makeup collection. Largely on your recommendation, I purchased the Chanel Clair Obscur palette and am loving it. Thank you, I doubt I would have tried Chanel shadows otherwise (next on the wishlist is Tom Ford!) And thank you so much for including the comment about fragrance in bedtime products and weird dreams. I'm very picky about hand creams for the same reason - great to know that others have a similar reaction!

    Great video! Love that you are collaborating with Natalie - she's one of my favorites and she is a hoot!! I was introduced to La Mer over 25 years ago from a friend of my Mom's who was in the beauty/entertainment industry. She said if there's one product to add to your beauty routine it's La Mer. I've used it for 25 years and would never stop. The moisturizing soft cream works on clearing-up my breakouts, brightens my skin and makes it soft and luminous. Love all of the products. Also love Timeless and Maelove for C-Serums and the SK-II Essence.

    • @TheMicheleWang
      @TheMicheleWang  6 лет назад

      She sure is a hoot!!! Love her :) And YES - I feel like everyone who's more experience, sometimes older, who has been using La Mer for a long time always say - just start using it now if you aren't already. Those are the best recommendations. xoxo

    1) Farmacy Green Clean
    2) Whamisa Organic Flowers Toning Essence
    3) Timeless Vitamin C serum
    4) Glow Recipe Watermelon Moisturizer
    5) Sunday Riley Good Genes (although hoping the Farmacy Honeymoon AHA serum replaces-Natalie had it in her list and I’m hopeful!)
    6) La Mer Eye Concentrate (Natalie speaks truth)
    7) La Mer Cool Gel Cream (I use this on my neck mostly because it breaks me out if I use it all over my face every day, but it is fighting those cellphone lines!)
    8) Cure Natural Aqua Peeling Gel (nothing natural about it but absolutely necessary for me-only thing that exfoliates and clears my follicles and actually prevents my breakouts)
    9) Revive Cream Cleanser-morning cleanser, works better than any others I’ve used, but this is at the end of the list because there are others that do the same job, just not as well on my skin
    10) I can’t repurchase my favorite SPF because it’s discontinued Jigott Pearl SPF 50, but obvi you must have SPF
    Honorable mentions: By Terry Baum de Rose lip balm, but Vaseline lip therapy cocoa butter works as well and Vintners Daughter is soooooo good, but I also love One Love Organics Vitamin C serum oil.

      I also love Cure Aqua Gel! Unfortunately I've used maybe 1/3 of my Whamisa essence and recently got a bad reaction after exfoliating too much. :/

    • @jennyt8581
      @jennyt8581 6 лет назад

      laura oh no! Exfoliation is such a double edged sword! Not enough and I break out, too much and I break out, ahhh! If the Whamisa is irritating, you might want to try The Lotus or the Peach & Lily Glass Skin serum (or both). You can get them on Peach & Lily, and they are amazing. I think they have fewer potentially irritating botanicals.

    I love skincare videos, blogs & ig posts. I love learning what works for others and why. Thanks for the video Michele! I am actually trying to decide on what to get for my winter moisturizer... I think I’m going to repurchase Sisley’s Black Rose Face Mask, I have heard its what... i can’t think of her name atm but she is one of the owners of the Melt Makeup line, uses as a daily moisturizer. She has AMAZING skin and i do love it so I’m thinking why mess with a good thing. Although I am also considering one Fresh’s moisturizers.

    • @TheMicheleWang
      @TheMicheleWang  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Charli! Wow I didn’t know she used it as a moisturizer but that makes sense if you have dry skin. When I put a light layer down as a mask i really don’t have much leftover to wipe away. That’s so interesting!! Maybe I’ll give that a shot too. Maybe also give la mer cream a try if you haven’t already?

    The Chantecaille spf is one of my favorites, but I'm currently trying the Farmacy Green Screen and I really love it, it reminds me so much of the Chantecaille because of how it straddles the line between makeup and skincare! Ironically, a lot of the reviews complain about the price of the Farmacy one, but next to the Chantecaille, I think it's a steal lol

    Try La Prairie Cellular Softening and Balancing Lotion. It’s a toner in pink bottle and it’s my absolute favorite skin care item. Even more than La Mer cream ! It’s very moisturizing so I use Sisley toner in the morning and La Prairie at night but when the weather gets cold, I use it morning and night. 1. Dr Dennis Gross Sheer Mineral Sun Spray spf 50 (face/home- use every morning after Serum before moisturizer)
    2. Pixi Beauty spf 30 Sun Mist (keep at work in locker to use on face through out the day and works fine over makeup)
    3. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen spf 45 (arms- leaves no oily residue and doesn’t land on the nearby lockers with speckles of product)
    4. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick (wind burn, dryness anywhere on the face and body)
    I work outside in all weather in the Chicagoland area and sun protection is a MUST. I used to use only high end sunscreen when drug store offerings could NOT compete in the area of protection plus ingredients that didn’t break me out or become an oil slick on the face. I also now have rosacea plus easy to burn fair skin so I have to protect that sensitive area from the sun and irritating ingredients. The high end brands have not been successful for me in this area in the past 5 years or so.
    5. Look for a new rosacea treatment! Any suggestions anyone?
    6. I’d try the Vintner’s Daughter oil
    7. I’d try the M-61 line. I like the eye serum but have only tried, but liked, samples of their Power Peel and glycolic eye cream.... Or another line like Skinceuticals, etc. with retinol, acids and peptide products and exfoliants.
    8, 9, 10. Not brand loyal (obviously!) but need good clean-ingredient makeup remover wipes, a balm cleanser, and a general deeper cleanser to use after balm cleanse. This sounds nuts but this three step process has really helped my skin become softer, has better texture, and I think it’s cleaner without the irritation from harsh cleansing. My products seem to work better, too. :)

      I’d be very leery on the Vintners Daughter if you have rosacea. It is a beautiful oil but with 22 active botanicals it can be irritating. I didn’t want to give it up but when I was using my skin was worse. If you can, it’s super expensive but LaMer The Concentrate has saved my skin! Check out RUclipsr Casey Holmes she has cleared her rosacea, not completely, but her skin looks amazing.

      FYI, the Replenix Sheer Physical Sunscreen SPF 50+ is the exact same as the Dr. Dennis Gross one. I purchased both, and they came in the same bottle with the same ingredients. I think they just slap a different label on DDG's. The Replenix one will save you $10/bottle.

    New Subscriber and THRILLED to have found your channel! It's great to watch a video where products I use are mentioned constantly instead of once in awhile. As the years have gone by and those years have brought issues I NEVER thought of, I have had to change products and often, the more expensive ones deliver what the cheaper ones used to. Personally, I don't care if it costs pennies or hundreds; what it must do is DELIVER the goods. Thank you for videos that are enjoyable to watch without theatrics and/or drama and that feature content relevant to those of us categorized as "ageing" (it really isn't all that fun). : )

    omg i finally understand the petrolatum in la mer now ! of course !!!! i don’t know why i never drew parellels between max huber’s skin condition & *barrier*, it’s so obvious now that you say it 🙄
    as for cleansers, i’m totally with you re the cloudy eye effect when using an oil or balm hahha - i love the new chanel cleansing oil, very surprised when i first tried it - no residue, not filmy, i can open my eyes and it rinses so quickly. love it ! but i also love its « chanel » scent..
    i’ve not tried the all day all year but many french brands especially the older ones, incorporate ingredients to tackle pollution as standard practice & i’ve always assumed it’s due to pride in their land (natural produce, wine, flowers & plants etc) coupled with having to deal with modern technology polluting it : vehicles, smog, smoking.. so there’s always a sense of balance between some key natural ingredient and either a lab-engineered or naturally existing anti-pollution miracle.

I have used Sisley of Paris skin care and also La Mer and I do like some of the La Mer I actually like their moisturizer it's very nice. I have to say I am not impressed with Sisley or La Mer's skin care at all. I rather use professional grade products that aren't too strong but you actually see a difference in your skin and your not just paying for a high end name that literally makes no difference in your skin.

I think that my skin is just as good as it's going to get because I never see the big overnight improvements some people see. I'm currently using the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic and it's the same story, a lovely serum, but not necessarily a game changer for me. Do you watch A Little Bit, Etc on here? She's great too.

    • @gia6743
      @gia6743 6 лет назад +2

      I have tried Sisley and LaMer and found that they aren't really good skin care. I use Skinceuticals CE Ferulic also, just not everyday because I also use Retinol by Dr. Dennis Gross. I also love Sunday Riley Good Genes and I apply the night oil afterwards which has a little retinol in it. I use so many different products I could not name them all; but Sisley Paris is not really great skin care in my opinion it is a designer name and you are paying a high price for the designer name not the quality of the product. La Mer I do like the moisturizing cream and the Regenerating serum is good in helping to heal very damaged skin but it still not worth 1/2 the price because neither one of these skin care lines are using anything that is really going to help improve the signs of aging.

      Also in defense of expansive skincare, I think La Mer can make 12 retinol or acid peels if they want, but they are not the safest thing to put out for the mass market where most people don’t wear enough sunscreen. Also their formulas are more sophisticated and elegant and use many other non aggressive high tech ingredients. I like to use them in conjunction with aggressive skincares.
