I also am a rockhound. I think most people are jelly and just don't want us to be happy with our finds. Let me know what you do about yours. Im in NY & CONSTANTLY having trouble finding trust-worthy experts to go to.
Pouhaa!! Same here !!! Everyone thinks I'm a kind of weirdo, but my passion is over them, so it brings me a lot of satisfaction when I find something. Here in Québec, Canada, I can find meteorites and crystals that I don't even know, but space stuff is my specialty
I have the de tester, although it is not one of the most expensive it does seem to be accurate given two important factors to stay on top of one, the battery dies really fast and unless you know that, you probably have been getting the wrong result and two, it is suppose to be adjusted to the right level and the stones you have or are testing on are the 4 green bar on the tester and it shod be at 1...because of the sheer size...try it ...I bet you it won't beep... I too believe you have Quartz as I have the same here.
Instead of showing a diamond tester which is being used wrong I suggest showing yourself doing a unfoolable gravity test. Weigh the stone. Write down that number. Take a cup of water & place on the scale. Zero it out. Now tie a string or thin wire around your stone. Dip the stone into the water submerged but sure it's not touching sides or bottom of cup. Write down this number. Divide the last number into the first number you got. If it is 3.52 you have a diamond.
The gemstones business is controlled by a very rich man. To put your find of gemstones in a market. You have to tell were is caming origin of the stone. For the identification you need a certificate from a regonised lab (GIA ) and to be able to sell with market price you have to pay for it to be cut and polish. It's a very long process. . Good luck for all
Are that stones real diamonds? Can you scratch your stones with corrundum stick? Corrundum hardness is 9. Diamond hardness is 10. Your stones will be diamonds without scratch after scratching your stones with corrundum stick. brother
Quartz! Diamonds never have cracks like those specimens. The lustre is too dull. Diamonds have a greasy lustre. It's as if someone has spilled oil on the surface...
Thanks for comments. Telling about diamond. It's not a diamond i know. Can you help me to identify the rough gemstones n like sapphire, jade, jadeite, and Ruby in rough condition. I will great full to you sir. Thsnks
arunachal stone collection fun tv If you wish to see what natural uncut diamonds look like, go to qualitydiam.com! You may even wish to purchase some to start off with...I can identify uncut diamonds, sapphires and rubies by their particular lustres: diamonds have a greasy or adamantine lustre, whereas sapphires and rubies have a vitreous (glassy) lustre if they are fresh specimens. Sapphires and rubies have what are called diagnostic colours: sapphires are usually blue, although there are also yellow sapphires and two-toned colours; ruby, of course is red, or, different shades of red, pink/purple. In Australia, where I live, there are a lot of sapphires in Queensland and Tasmania, so, if you wish to buy some, these are the best places. I am not familiar with jade, but, there is a mineral called jadeite which is a type of green pyroxene. If you wish to know more about minerals, then mindat.org is the best site.
Nothing happened to my ass it's fine, but thank you for asking, we'll if they are real diamonds go and sell one and bye yourself a better diamond detector, because obviously that one doesn't work .....Look those shinny rocks are quartz ok, but I can really tell you what they are or what they were at one time before they became stones, specially that one at the end of the video with the different colors, I do know that you found them in a dried river bed or a lake, right??
