I love this! I'm mainly a guitarist, but I found a beautiful little balalaika at a thrift shop for 40 bucks. Going to clean it up, restring it and try and learn a little of this type of music, or incorporate it into some other songs I play when I get together with friends. I love folk music of all kinds. The Red Army choir and dancers were often on TV when I was a lad and Kalinka was one of my favourites. I saw a beautiful gypsy girl today and fell in love with her instantly. She reminds me of a yoga teacher at the reaction gym in Patras who woke me from my golden slumbers back into the great game.
