As a Hazara Afghan, I'm glad you make it homie.. it feels calming. As you saw how chaotic borders we share with eachothers. Borders filled with illiterate policemen, stupid rules. Wish we love eachothers more than other western countries where no visa required, even if required a valid passport at most.
Hazara will always remain a Hazara, he will never become Afghan alone without adding Hazara to it. It was this Hazara and Khorasan that paved the way for Taliban take over
From Arshad bhai's experience, Talibans were more friendly though they are not professionally trained. Whereas Pakistani side staff lacks friendliness to their own brethrens.
Forget about europe dont go that far just see the border crossing for neighbouring GCC countries and how easily an emirati or bahraini quwaiti and qatari citizens travel to saudia arabia and vice versa just show citizen identity card and go where ever you wana go in GULF

I hope the torkham border gets a make over and becomes at least of a structure where people crossing over can wait in dignity without being pushed and shoved like cattle. Nevermind, these guys are known for their non professionalism and indifference to public's convenience. Traffic in Pakistan is like that. 1986/ 87 I served at Landikotal .. stayed at forward posts too.. Tora Tigga (Landi Kotal) is the last railway station of Pakistan 🇵🇰 towards the North. The Pathans of Khyber / Landikotal are amongst the Best ... very courteous n forthcoming.. they love n respect their country . Weapon is part of their dress.
Well you’re not the first one to enter. We brought our own vehicle back in 2004-2005 using road pass permit. And in 90s many people used to come to Peshawar with their own Afg registered cars. Congrats 🥳 alas u made it 🫡

From the Pakistani side, I have been up to that curved elevated walk way behind that bottle weilding officer. Just to get a look at Afghanistan. Whats fascinating is that little kids freely cross the international border 100s of times a day without a problem. They carry grain bags collecting bottles etc they can later sell.

I hope the torkham border gets a make over and becomes at least of a structure where people crossing over can wait in dignity without being pushed and shoved like cattle. 1986/ 87 I served at Landikotal .. stayed at forward posts too.. Tora Tigga (Landi Kotal) is the last railway station of Pakistan 🇵🇰 towards the North.
The Pathans of Khyber / Landikotal are amongst the Best ... very courteous n forthcoming.. they love n respect their country . Weapon is part of their dress.

From the Pakistani side, I have been up to that curved elevated walk way behind that bottle weilding officer. Just to get a look at Afghanistan. Whats fascinating is that little kids freely cross the international border 100s of times a day without a problem. They carry grain bags collecting bottles etc they can later sell.
