  • I hope you enjoy this tour of the Starcourt Mall seen in Stranger Things Season 3! Also apparently we were not suppose to film there... oh well. I snuck around the security to get these shots ;)

    Sorry for how I was constantly changing the camera from landscape to portrait! I was only allowed a certain amount of time in the area and I wanted to enjoy the moment and also record and take pictures, which is never a good mix! Overall, I hope the video gives a good in-depth tour of the Starcourt Mall in Stranger things season 3!

    Honestly they should have left it all in the 80s as the mall hasn’t been very busy for years now so if they kept it like that they probably would have gained there publicity tell me what you think!

    • @HaroldWasTaken
      @HaroldWasTaken Год назад +7

      Actually that was the plan after filming they kept the 80s set so tourist could come see but sadly it brought a bit of bad energy as in people were starting to go and Vandalize the set and stuff so sadly they had to remove the set entirely…Really is a shame I didn’t start watching Stranger Things till 2019 when season 3 came out because of starcourt mall wish I could have seen the set in person.

      Well I really wish that too but since some of the companies like JCPenny, Burger King, The Gap, Etc. still exist and they do not own the stores there, they could probably sue them and they would get in a bit of trouble. Even if they some how got the permission, there would be vandalized things all around and the mall just wouldn't attract enough publicity to keep up with rent. I went a few weeks ago and honestly only like 2 cars showed up about each hour. The megamart might keep the mall up and running too but its still hard to tell honestly.

    The fact that the people who worked on building the set had to over come the fact that a real murder happened behind that subway in the food court. Imagining that a dead decomposing female body was found back there just months before filming is so freaking erie to me.

    I always find myself coming back to watch this video! Lol love it so much. I myself got to see the set in person, on the last day the mall was open to the public. Almost 90% of everything was stripped from set, but it was still so surreal nonetheless.

      Oh! what I got from set is not interesting enough to show anyone 😂 but if you want, you can go back to the last episode to see the coke cup! I got the coke cup from the Great American Cookie set. You can see them in the show once the Scoop Troop is saved by Eleven and stands up from behind the Counter!

      @@kaylaa_maria That's pretty cool! I read somewhere the stores that had either very little screen time or no screen time at all were still fully stocked and dressed up to match a real working store. They clearly didn't fall short on that haha. If I may ask, would you be open to offers for the chopsticks? Would be willing to pay a considerable amount for it!

      I was curious as to why the decorations were still up as well! I filmed this video July 5th so the decorations were up then, but I recently went back on July 20th and the only thing left is scoops ahoy! I heard they finished filming in December so I don't know why they waited until July to take everything down! I guess this is one of the greatest stranger things mysteries lol

    Very cool. It should have been the Walton family, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates (or characters that are obvious metaphors) running the operation of keeping the gate for the monster that destroyed the mall (their biggest compeditor) open though in terms of plot. The first 2 seasons hint in that direction. I like Starcourt Mall but the Russian plotline kinda comes out of no where.
