    They didn't work together. More likely they both shopped for products at the same Asia-based manufacturer and each put their own spins on the basic design to be unique/consistent to each brand. This is how the modern outsourcing global economy works.

    My main battery path is Milwaukee M12/M18 (and not one bad tool amongst) but having said that? Same can be said for the other major brands I use....even some Ridgid and a few Ryobi tools
    Here it looks like the best value is the Dewalt though, but so batteried up in the Milwaukee platform that I’m gonna have to stick with Milwaukee’s excellent platform.....2 M12 Rocket Lights are going to be grabbed first. (Small quality 1400 lumin’ers that are built well.)
    Great review here Mr!

    I Got none of these. I just got the bad boy DCL070 just a few days ago. It's a beast both in light and size lol. That's the only thing I don't like about it. As a DIY'er, I don't know where I'm gonna store it. But I'm sure I'll find room in my garage.

    Well done, you really can’t go wrong with either brand. I’d go with the dewalt too, but I’m becoming bias, I’ve had all the major brands and Dewalt has been the best brand for me.

    Built in charger. You can't swap batteries when its dead? Do you have to plug the whole thing in to charge it?

    • @parkhays117
      @parkhays117 6 лет назад +4

      ashley sefton For the Milwaukee light with the built in charger you can swap batteries when the one in it dies. The built in charger feature simply means that if you plug in the light it will also charge a battery placed in the light.

    the total price on these units are close in cost once you buy the battery and charger needed for them.
    Mil has the 115V plug in feature I like and makes it more usable “some".
    Wondering the battery life span how many months ot lasts before a new battery is needed.
    Hard to say any one is overall superior though.

      @TwitchFlys 6 лет назад +8

      Hate to break it to you but "Built in the USA with global materials" means made in China and put together in America. no major difference from any of the other ones. if it was truly made in America it would be 2-3x as costly

    • @Johnfanclub
      @Johnfanclub 6 лет назад +3

      Tuan Kearney obviously they do t make it all in the USA but main components like the gears , plastic casing of the drill are made and put together here. That's allot better then it all being made in China and assembled in China

    Jones, I'm trying to decide between the DeWalt and the Milwaukee tower lights they got out right now. My biggest concern is the quality and temperature of the light. The Milwaukee "trueview lighting claims to show colors better then standard white LEDs if you're doing wiring in the dark, have you noticed any difference with color rendering between the two lights? Will the DeWalt allow me to see differences like blue and purple pink and red?

    • @Angel-xh5pq
      @Angel-xh5pq  5 лет назад +1

      The Dewalt and both Milwaukee have a Natrual white color. Milwaukee calls it "True view", Dewalt calls it "Natrual white". All are great lights, but I find the Milwaukee with the built in charger, and 3 swivel heads to be superior than the other two lights although more expensive. The Dewalt might not have swivel heads or built in charger, but for being half the price as the Milwaukee rocket light it's a great light for the price and still puts out 3000 lumens

      @@Angel-xh5pq
      I pickled up the Dewalt this afternoon and pitted it against my Milwaukee Rover light.. Color is fine, so shouldn't have any problems distinguishing between different wires in attics and panel boxes Etc..
      This DeWalt light seems pretty great and well-built despite all the plastic, and I'm very pleased, especially since my DeWalt batteries are already paid for.. Lol..
      My partner's old DeWalt LED light it's bright but seems to drown out colors, and can make wiring more difficult..
      Also, I'm not sure if it's an upgrade or what but the head on my light seems to swivel 180 degrees just fine, then you turn the light lens the other way and swivel the other hundred Eighty, for the full 360 without having to move the tripod position..
      I really appreciate your rapid response.. Very cool!
      Thank you for your time..

      Joe Montague A little brighter, They will all get the job done, whether 2000lm or 3000lm. 2000lm is still plenty of light. I bought the 2000 lm because I got a good deal on it and still use it. There're all good lights. The plus on the 2000lm model is you get a little more runtime, thanks for watching

      I've owned the Milwaukee rocket light for many years now and it's awesome. A lot of light and the ability to throw light in 3 different directions. A huge plus is the ability to use it with either a battery or I can plug it in with a extension cord, and it'll charge the battery too. I've noticed that it's getting harder to find the rocket light at HD.

      Jonathan Miu that’s correct. Some parts come from china. We live in a global economy. Just the way business is done now a days. BUT, DeWalt chooses to create jobs here in the states by assembling a multitude of tools here. More then can be said for red china.
