@@westnile21 Shanks performs in movie Red and it was confirmed that power levels in that movie are canon to the story. His power in the movie is indeed on that level
Perhaps some may not have understood why the Red "Eagle" represents Shanks' attack with Haoshoku. It turns out that the name of Shanks' sword is Gryphon. Griffin is the name of a mythological creature that has the body of a lion, the head and wings of an eagle, which is very well applied to Shanks, as we viewers have two interpretations of him, a Lion that will tear you apart or a Eagle that will guide you. However, the figure of the griffin intensified in Greek mythology, as one of the animals that belonged to the god of gods, Zeus, and which protected his riches. And just as the Gryphon protects the riches of the gods, Shanks protects his Captain's One Piece.

@@ReiseLukas Blackbeard is a smart villain. I call him "Mr Catch you slipping" because he always fights you at your worst or when he has an overwhelming advantage. He runs from perceived disadvantaged fights (Silvers Rayleigh threat).
For all the chapters of one piece, it does strike me how this is probably the first time (if not the first time in a long while) that we get to see what Shanks is truly capable of. Someone who seemingly rarely fights, but when he does, it does seem to end just as quickly as it starts (or when he shows up to a fight, the fighting comes to an abrupt halt).
Think about the terror that those Shanks v Mihawk duels were really like. Whitebeard said they shook the Grand Line and it's starting to seem like he meant that literally.
Future sight is such a busted move it's not even funny, without that this fight could've gone a lot worse for Shanks. He was prepared for a duel but when he saw Kidd wiping out his fleet he decided to take his life. Insane.
Well the way I've always seen is similar to how experienced boxers can tell how the fight's going to go/where the opponent is going to punch. Obviously it's played up to 11 since this is an anime, but the basic principle is the same. Similarly to how, again using boxing as a reference point, armament is the difference between punching at and punching through, and conquerors is just psyching people out with your presence to a degree where they lose the fight before a punch if ever thrown (Tyson - Spinks).
I'm rewatching this scene.. Shanks presence is so great that even the Sea got split apart. Talk about total conquest and domination. Even Mother Sea bowed to Red Hair...
let take a moment to realize something. Big mom never saw Kidd as a threat. as a result she was reckless and made alot of mistakes such as not using her full power from the start and it still took kid law and many others to finally take her down. On one hand, I'm a little sad that my favorite character had to die for us to get Shanks feats. On the other hand, Shanks did actually just pull out a Haki Susano'o in the shape of a Gryphon, which was hype AF. I mean, honestly, we kept joking about it, but did anyone actually expect him to do it?
Without hesitation, Shanks eliminated the threat that was Captain Eustass Kidd. Brilliantly animated fight scene and this shows how dangerously vicious Shanks really is.
He barely survived an encounter with one Yonko despite all the help in that fight, then he took that W and decided it meant he would be able to solo a completely different one.
Well, he may as well be one of the final bosses of One Piece. Remember, now he is also going for the One Piece, which means he is a direct contender to Luffy. And he has some shaddy dealings with the Gorosei so....
Well, that's a pretty strong attack, but all it could do was destroy these 9 fodder ships. It won't work on a Yonko ship. Tbh with how Ben wasn't even worried, I believe he would give Kidd the same treatment as last time. In fact, none of main crew saw Kidd as a real threat
People are easily blinded by flashy moves. The fanbase is very young and immature after all. Kidd could absolutely wreck a lots of "beloved" characters.

I was wondering why his attack took the shape of an animal. This is an amazing analysis.
Why did you say Eagle when it was a Gryphon?

Well the way I've always seen is similar to how experienced boxers can tell how the fight's going to go/where the opponent is going to punch. Obviously it's played up to 11 since this is an anime, but the basic principle is the same. Similarly to how, again using boxing as a reference point, armament is the difference between punching at and punching through, and conquerors is just psyching people out with your presence to a degree where they lose the fight before a punch if ever thrown (Tyson - Spinks).
