Interesting. I tend to think of the mask as something that we can use in conjunction with chest voice and the other registers. You guys seem to think it's it's own register. Just learning the way that you guys use the different terminology. I agree that it helps you to project and brighten the voice and all that.

You are right about the terms, here in Brasil we use different terms for the voice, about masking is when the resonance also reaches a certain region of the face, but can still be held in the chest or head.
