What a singer, what power and what a voice. It is a real pleasure for the ears to listen to Lara Fabian. Looks like this woman doesn't even force herself when she sings. What a beauty. Thank you from Montreal.
When she says 'QUÉBÉCOISE' , she means that it was in the province of Quebec that she was welcomed and that she began her career. She returned to settle in Quebec and for several years she has been the director of Star Académie.

True. The rest of Canada is happy to have her here, too, though. It's understandable why she started in Quebec, well, Montreal. Quebec was a hotbed of talent being exported in the 90s. But, had she chosen to start her career in English, and in an English part of Canada, I have no doubt that she would have "made it", too, and we'd be just as proud and happy to have her.
I think that Lara would never have allowed herself to be a mono-language performer and starting in English and then insisting on including French, Italian, and Spanish songs would not have gone over well with the execs. Nowadays, with the popularity of "opera pop" and the increasing exposure to music in other countries, I don't think it would be as difficult. But in the 90s it would have been a fight. As disappointed as she was when US execs tried to pigeonhole her and she had to walk away and all that drama, I think in the long run, starting her career in French, the acceptance in Europe of music from artists who speak a different language to the listener, ultimately allowed her to continue to sing in her four languages and then expand to languages that she isn't fluent in, as well.
Montreal is the richer for her.

If I was Lara I would spend a few years in Canada to show the Canadians that I am grateful for their wellcoming and supporting me to start a career but I would spend the rest of my life in Paris. To honor the incredible audience in my 2001 concert there who gave me back my self respect, saved me from my suicidal thoughts in USA and changed my life

@@vasilisalphaalpha1399 I think you forget how Lara Fabian was treated by the gignols in Paris, they attacked her in an indecent and mean way, and this, for several years. On French shows, she was ridiculed by French TV idiots on several occasions. JUST OUT OF JEALOUSY. In Quebec, she was RESPECTED and LOVED. She said that the province of Quebec allowed her to grow and develop as a woman and as a singer. Today, she commutes between Europe and Quebec and she and her family are very happy. Welcome to Quebec.

Wow. So cool to see this song highlighted. TY! It is hard to exaggerate how big this beautiful song is in Italy. Many have done it. Our Queen completely makes it her own, killing it. She does this often. Don't let Lara do one of your songs, it will be hers.

Yes and yes! Just beautiful. Like you said, her voice is good to your ears...😁 I'd say her voice is good to your ears, eyes, toes, your skin, your soul...everything. You don't even need a doctor anymore. Just listen her voice and watch her sing. Pure bliss!

Lara has so much "body" in her voice even if she don't have a "fat" voice by herself. She just get all out of her body and out comes the most beautiful voice I know until this day.
Her emotional ability when she delivering the lyrics combined with her amazing voice makes her totally outstanding. Thanks!

    Great reaction!
I guess you mean that her belts and her high notes are so well supported that there is no strain, we just perceive it like a perfect pitch sound that could last forever.
And this makes her tone so pleasant, so pure, compared to most others.
I cannot wait to see your next reaction ( You are not from here ? Broken Vow? Love by Grace? From the same concert)
Side note: “québécoise” means a girl from Quebec, the region of Canada around Montreal that speaks mainly French

Hi. Thanks again for your reaction.
You said it: her voice is so powerful and pure as well. Some other youtubers said her voice sounds warm and comfortable to them.
Moreover, she has a so beautiful speaking voice.
Note that all the songs you have reacted on were from the same concert, what makes her performance more amazing: most singers could hardly sing one song with that intensity and quality. How would they manage to do it with about twelve songs?

"You're Not From Here" (from this same concert), "Llora" (from Russia), and her "Yentl" medley from 1998 in Montreal are all must-see.
She's also done some recent concerts - her duets with the cellist Hauser at Albert Hall are amazing.
