It’s the middle of a difficult night, and your rendition of this piece remains no less beautiful, moving and calming than when I first found it. Thank you 🙏
needed this today at home with it snowing outside and nowhere to go right now....love that girl anyways AND this beautiful piece of music. .......peace to all of us in this world we live in today, it "ain't" that great with all the stuff going on is it....? 78 years old on February 2nd coming up in six days in 2023. Things just don't seem the same anymore............(sadly)..............
I'm an old rock n roller.I really appreciate Lucia and her many talents. This is very beautiful and the camera work here brings us so close to each performer and let's me feel the energy put out to make these great sounds.Blasted tight through my soul! Thank You
I am stunned and in awe that 6 musicians could manage to recreate this Adagio with such beauty and power. The passion and expression is superb, overwhelmingly beautiful - thank you.
Lucia, God Bless you for the beautiful music that you play. You bring Heaven to our Earth. May God give you good health and may God give your family good health. I weep at the beauty that you bring to us, through music.
First saw you Lucia while playing with Josh Groban which seems like LIGHT YEARS ago in Boston. I was mesmerized then & this rendition of Barber is just amazing! Thank You for this.
This had to be one of my absolute favorite pieces. I am watching you in a Hallmark movie at the moment, and wanted to see you play on RUclips. I am very moved to hear this recording! The entire group did a spectacular job, and I love watching the passion with which you play. I also want to commend you for being so diverse in your interests. The fact that you played with Jethro Tull and Trans-Siberian Orchestra is fantastic! I was raised on rock and roll, and was in a heavy rock band in college. I only studied voice because I wanted to be able to sing regularly, properly, so I wouldn’t lose my voice when I was in a smokey bar performing! But to my surprise, when my technique started to develop, it turned out that I had a very operatic quality and that is what became my career. The other singers I met were strictly classical, some not even being familiar with the Beatles! It made me so sad to have to be in the closet about still listening to every form of music. So I was very pleased to hear about you and I hope you continue to inspire musicians to expand their creativity as you have. It makes for such a well-rounded performer, as you have proven!
Beautiful Lucia. I keep a version of this in my car, and play it often. It has a particular meaning to me, This is the first time I have heard it played so well. I thank you for playing it. xx
They say that music is healing. For that, music is everything. The first piece I listened to you was "Portrait" in your album "Music in a Farther Room". It was a very long time ago. I reflected on my life and somehow I thought I understood a little bit. And then I moved to "Oblivion", and I sensed the abyss of silence. But then, I listened to "Emmanuel", played by you and Chris Botti, And then, everything just makes sense. Life is basically sad. Some ask what is the meaning of life. Came the response that life itself is a meaning. But its theme is plain and vaguely reminiscent of longing and yearning, hence mildly sad. What we do in our life is to paint colours and add substances onto that bland theme. That may be the reason why no matter what joy and how many activities we experience, at the end of the day, there is a lingering feeling of something. And the violin pacifies that feeling, gently and peacefully. Personal interpretation is vast, so is life itself. But there are certain stories that once told, tears may drop, not because of sorrowfulness but because of sympathy and, more often, empathy. Your violin and its sound vibrate my awareness, echo my consciousness, and inundate my blankness with much emotion, in a good way as I can feel that I am alive, and long to love and be loved. Above all, it is the consistency of your powerful, yet tender, violin's sound that keeps communicating the pathos that one may feel, or try to apprehend. So, Thank you. In my fantasy, I imagine there are, and only, two violins in a tranquil ambience that play "Schindler's list", one by you, the other by... me? :)) And the world might wonder the effect...
Since we first saw and heard you play your version of Bohemian Rhapsody about a decade ago my daughter and I have been your fans. Love your articulation...so much love in anything you play ❤️. 🎶

Samuel Barber would be pleased that it's played so well and also that it continues to be played world wide. It's a very emotional composition.
