I appreciate you making the video, I must have tied 50 wrong knots watching several peoples videos, my daughter finally pointed out I was going through the loop the wrong direction. Now I’m on about 4 ft into 7/8 mesh net. Now my biggest mistakes are going behind the loop on accident. Again appreciate the time you are sharing
Another informative video Mike - many thanks! I haven't tried the "Flying Dutchman" knot just yet, but with this video's help, I believe I can do it. My next net I'm going to give it a try and will let you know how it comes out. Many thanks again! Russell
The finished knot seems identical to a regular netting knot. Maybe I’m tying it wrong . If it’s identical, I don’t see the advantage of using a more complicated method to end up at the same place . What am I missing ?
I have watched most of your net making videos! thanks for putting it out there! I do have a question... How long do you think an 8 foot net takes to make? say a 1/2 inch mesh.
Bud, that's a tough question. It would take me over 100 hrs. Someone just starting to make a net, several hundred hrs. That would be my guess. Ask me something easy.
Russell, I'm very sorry you had trouble seeing what I was doing. I will redo the knot-tying part very soon, my partner has to stop using the tripod. This is a repeat of several other videos, thanks much for the feedback, if you are having trouble tying this knot if you call I can walk you through it.

When you construct nets from Dacron, what material you use for braille lines?

It's hard to see how you do the knot if the cameraman would be over your shoulder it would be 100% better
