Yes yes yes *Twilight Jumping Around* (you will get the reference, don't worry)
Eeyup! (If you do the show, you will get the reference, don't worry.)
To answer some questions: the first song was from the movie, hence the different more detailed art style.
The cutie marks are a symbolic representation of a pony's talents and skills they will apply in their lives. For example, the southern pony you like is named Applejack and her cutie mark is normally a trio of red apples. Symbolizing her talent of working her family's apple farm. However a pony is not born with a cutie mark. Though the age differs some, when a young pony grows up enough and starts experimenting with skills and jobs they eventually find their one true talent and the cutie mark magically appears. The last two songs were about the main characters friends having their marks magically switched around and being bad at what they believed they were supposed to be doing their whole lives.
Which brings us to the last item that changed them, the magical artifacts known as The Elements of Harmony. Which became tied to the 'Mane Six' (Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy) in the first episodes of the show. A spell cast in their presence rearranged who they were bonded to and changed the characters marks as a result.
(Seriously, go watch the first episodes sometime and see just how interesting the show started off. It is not what you'd expect of a little kids cartoon.)

Hey there.
I just found your video, and I can tell you some things here.
The first one you saw was from My Little Pony: The Movie. The character who sung the song is named "Tempest Shadow", who is kind of like a pony version of Darth Vader from Star Wars. And she is voiced by Emily Blunt, who you might know her from films like The Devil Wears Prada, Jungle Cruise, and Mary Poppins Returns.
For the second song, I don't think I should tell you much about it for spoiler reasons, although I will say that part of the song is a reference to the reprise of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" in the 1989 Disney film The Little Mermaid.
As for the third and forth songs, I will say that you questioned about the marks on the ponies asses. They're called cutie marks (or as I like to called them Butt Symbols. LOL!), and you're close to what they represent. They represent a pony's special talent/skill/power. However, they are not born with one, as they don't appear until later in life. About around 7-10 years old roughly. Which you will understand as you watch the series.
As for the necklaces, well once again I won't give away spoilers, but you'll find out when you start watching the series.
Anyway, glad you liked some of the songs so far. Hope to see more in future.
PLEASE DO it will start kinda childish but they will progress the more they learn trust
The first song is from the movie, the flatter style is from the series. And the marks on them are called cutie marks, they appear when a pony discovers their true talent.
Came here to say this
To be clear. Its the purpose in their life that they find, not their talent. They discover something they have a talent for, and the mark appears when they realize that this is what they want to spend their life doing or pursuing.
The following is a spoiler:
This is made clear with the crusaders, they each have very clear talents, as they each are incredibly talented in athletics, the arts and fashion, and acrobatics respectively. But neither one got their marks in those things, because what they realized was they wanted to spend their lives helping others realize their own purpose in life, together.
@@ShadeOnTheUtube It doesnt really work like that. 90% of ponies actually do things related to their cutiemarks beacuse it brings them happiness and they are talented in it. But not all the time. The most obvious example is Rarity. She got her cutiemark not for designing or being inspired. She got it because of her ability to find gems. But her work field is still fashion, meaning its not her talent but hard work that pays off.
@@xouleater2517she didn’t gay her cutie mark for finding gems, she got it for designing clothes. The mark is diamonds but that’s just to represent beauty, she only got her mark after making the dresses
I will never get tired of watching people reacting to MLP songs
SAME!!!
Same here
Me too❤
Yep!
They never expect how much they’ll like it 😂
Pretty much every song on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series was written by Daniel Ingram, who has won dozens of awards for his work. The songs use a Broadway theme approach, as they are used as a means to deliver an engaging emotional impact that drives the plot along. They have a purpose and while enjoyable on their own accord, they are often integral to the episode's plot.
It should also be noted that Weird Al Yankovic and Sia have provided their voices to pony characters.
Wierd Al, Sia, Lena Hall, John De Lancie, Felecia Day, Patton Oswald, William Shatner.....there are a lot of celebrity cameos.
@@7Seraphem7 I mean, can you really count DeLancie as a cameo when Discord became such a core part of the series?
Granted, I suppose his first appearance could be counted as a cameo of sorts, given that Discord's character was essentially just built for DeLancie to reprise his role as Q.
@@anerdwithaswitch9686 The story on that is kind of hilarious, Lauren created the character after a TNG binge, not really thinking she'd get Q himself to voice it since no way the execs would okay that. Then, when she asked the execs who they could get that could do a good DeLancie imitation... one of them just said "Well, why don't we see if we can get John himself?
Cutie Mark Crash Course:
All Equestrians (Ponies) have magic in themselves which manifests in different ways. The Cutie Mark is a reflection of what that is and what that unique talent is for them. The last two songs' episodes revolved around the 5 having their Cutie Marks switched around by accident, which affected "who they are". The last song was showing what happened after the switch, how they were trying to cope unsuccessfully, while the one before was how Twilight (purple unicorn) was helping them re-connect with who they each actually are.
There will be a HUGE inflood of folks in short order. Enjoy all tje attention and Welcome To The Herd.
Earth ponies doesn't have active magic. Someone replied me that Tirek stole their magic too, but actually we didn't see that. They were "caught", nothing else. That's why earth pony magic can "appear" in G5.
@@Andras_Orvos Rockhoof had his stolen. Plus Hearthswarming told us that the Earth Ponies were able to grow food the other races couldn't. They may not manifest as clearly as the others, but they have it.
@@Andras_Orvos Earth Ponies 100% have magic, they're more in-tune with nature (Apple family + Carrot-top growing plants) and are generally more hardy, and physically powerful (Rockhoof in particular lost almost all of his strength when Tirek absorbed his magic).
The reason why the first one looks different is because it's not from the show, it's from a movie. Also, the reason why the last two are similar is because they're from the same episode.
I would love to see a reaction to the series !
As you're exploring this, it's important to note that there are more than one series. "Friendship is Magic" is the main series, which included the last three songs you watched here, while the first was from the MLP movie. You'll also get requests for Equestria Girls music, which is a spin-off series of shorts and movies involving the characters as humans in high school. My recommendation is that, if you're thinking seriously about watching the series, to vet any song requests from Friendship is Magic through polls and comment sections, as they can be quite spoilery. All three songs you watched from the main series here involved heavy visual spoilers for their season finales. It's fine if there's no intent to pursue the series, but it irks me to see people suggesting such high-profile finale pieces as a FIRST WATCH.
It's not that big of a deal, the show itself it's not supposed to be taken too seriously, and besides... Without context the things shown in the songs are not that spoilery.
It would be different tho if people started requesting reactions to songs like "In my Head like a Catchy Song" or "How the Magic of Friendship Grows". Since those two hold too much emotional value in them to watch them without context.
How else are you gonna get someone invested in the series? Sell it big, sell the highest highlights, and boom! They are hooked enough to start watching the series properly and join the herd.
@@Edward256 While I don't disagree, there are plenty of great in-season pieces to use that don't give up a season finale's plot. "Smile," "Bad Seed," "Winter Wrap-Up," "Art of the Dress," "In Our Town," or "It's Gonna Work," just to name a few.
I guess I'd be less upset if people would stop using these spliced videos that give a lot of visual context, where the songs themselves don't spell out things.
@@BlackBurrito9073 The videos that people are suggesting to these reactors give a lot of visual context, which is the big issue with using these songs.
@@TigStripe I agree with almost all of your recommendations, but I don't think "In Our Town" is really all that noteworthy without the context. It's literally meant to be a monotonous military march, which isn't very entertaining unless you know why it's there. Perhaps something like "Flawless" to introduce the characters instead?
The show was meant for all ages, particularly adults who had seen the previous “generations” of the show (this is Generation 4) to watch with their kids, said the creator Lauren Faust. But once she left the show staff, Hasbro figured that since the show had garnered more of a teenage/adult fanbase, to run with it and make the show more serious.
Would definitely recommend the series, it's great
As for songs, I'd recommend you'll play your part, the harmonies are perfect in that one, and also flawless is another one of my favourites
You’ll play your part kinda is a spoiler though.
@@elijahsmall5873 i mean all songs have some kind of spoiler
@@lilredstrawberriez I suppose
@@elijahsmall5873 any song after season 3 is a spoiler for twilight being a princess thats unavoidable
I WISH the show looked like the first song, but nah, that's actually the movie. I do like the show's normal animation tho but can you imagine if the whole show had THAT animation? dope af
Dope af and bankrupt faster than Germany after the World War. 😆💸🔥
@@Nyorane I know but it's free to dream lol
I much prefer the original series' animation style, to me the movie just makes the ponies look more like babies
There is a whole arc dedicated to some kid ponies figuring out how to get a cutie mark, which eventually expands to figuring out what exactly it is. Their conclusion seems to be that it is either a special talent the pony has or their destiny (aka what they will become), and it marks the coming of age of a pony, since it also goes along with figuring out what they will do with their life.
That alone is super fascinating, and there are a couple songs centered around these kids (the Cutie Mark crusaders) I would love to see a reaction to :D
**(NOTE: I don't know English, I'm Latino and this is converted with the google translator, in case you don't understand it very well)**
For me My Little Pony (G4) is one of the best series out there because:
Its high point is its characters: its characters are very well written, they all have a very well defined personality; you have their lives, their dreams, their fears and you like them within 5 minutes of meeting them (and this is not only for the protagonists but for everyone) and throughout the entire series you can see how they progress in their lives; The characters, like their lives and their world, are not at all the same when the series begins as it ends.
Another very good thing are the songs: the songs are works of art, they are wonderfully composed, each song has its own essence, its own theme; and they are not the type to interrupt the plot, on the contrary, they flow with it.
The villains: the villains are very good, there are 1 or 2 that are half wasted but they are all memorable. And do not think that because it is a "childish" series, all the villains redeem themselves or do not suffer the consequences for their actions; NO. Half of the villains accept their role as villains, and suffer the consequences for it.
His world: his world is HUGE so much so that it takes several seasons to get to places that are only mentioned before. Or another thing they do is introduce you to characters that belong to a certain race/species to go deeper into them in the future (where they come from, what their lifestyle is like, etc.)
And his Lore is even better, especially with the theme of magic and everything that is involved.
And it may seem like a cliché of the Barbi movies that they win with the power of friendship, but here that is refuted; there's a whole lore about how friendship is magical and it's not as silly as it sounds; the power of friendship is a real power that exists in that world, if they use it as a weapon (there is a villain who is disintegrated alive with that power, it is also noticeable that he suffered in the brief process)
Another thing is its humor, references, and double meanings: although the series is focused on children at the beginning (in the fourth season it becomes for all audiences) there are many themes, references, and double meanings that only an adult audience will notice, in addition of situations that are really serious if you think about what is really happening (that is, the series has situations that do not seem so serious for how they are shown to you, but you just have to think a little about what is really passing to see the seriousness of the situation)
Your community: this is one of the series that I have seen the most that listens to its community and that the community does more things from it. I mean, there are things that happen in the series because the fans asked for it, or others like episode 100 that is directed for the fans.
And one thing that I like about a fandom are the fanarts, the animations, the songs, and the stories they create... well, those from this community are the best I've seen (whoever doesn't believe me, I challenge you to watch the animation "Lullabi for a Princess" or "Snowdrop" on RUclips and tell me you thought they were bad)
And finally I am going to touch on something that has given a lot of talk in recent years, and it is inclusion: inclusion in this series should be taken as an example to follow. And it's that I'm fed up with seeing so much forced inclusion in the movies, Wokism, progressive and feminist shitty messages; plus LGBT crap. But as I said, the inclusion of this series is the best I've seen; not only because of a lot of criticism towards racism and having non-forced gay characters with a good development in their relationship, but because throughout the entire series we can see various characters who are disabled, invalids, and with mental illnesses/problems; And the best thing is that they show you like any other characters, what stands out about them is their personality, not their condition, that's inclusion.
The last two songs are both from the same episode. The last one comes first, where we are shown that their cutie marks were switched around for some reason. The other one comes later, where they fix the whole problem. It may appear like a "different perspective", because only the first song you watched was how it actually appears in the show (or in its case, in the movie). The other three were official "music videos" where the scenes from the songs themselves were mixed with other scenes from their episodes. Thus, since the last two songs were from the same episode, they may have used the same scenes sometimes, sometimes even from the other song.
The series was wonderful, 9 seasons with many good songs and stories throughout. There was also the movie, a follow up special (Rainbow Roadtrip), and then the spin-off set of Equestria Girls (also had great music there too). Friendship is Magic is Generation 4 of the MLP franchise.
One thing Daniel Ingram (write most of the gen 4 MLP music) is good at is villain songs. The reasons the series has done so well is because the themes aren't exclusively kid-based, and the show doesn't talk down to it's audience. It hits 3 check boxes of a kids show, no swearing, no sex, and no realistic violence.
But it never talks down to its audience and covers some surprisingly complex themes so it gets emotional reactions from a lot of people.
To answer some of your questions - particularly the 2nd song, the This Day Aria, so spoilers but you asked :P That's a 2 parter season finale, and it revolves around Princess Cadence's (the pink alicorn (unicorn with wings) with the pink, purple and yellow hair) wedding preparation. And she's a complete bitch throughout the episode. Come to find out she's been replaced by a shapeshifter, and this song takes place right after the shapeshifter reveals herself and imprisons one of the characters with the real princess.
For the 3rd song - the cutie marks are the butt tattoos, and they're basically a representation of some special talent or quality of the character. This was also a season finale and due to some magic shenanigans, the marks of the main characters got flipped around and their souls and personalities got cluttered together. So the song about the marks telling them what to do is them being out of sorts, and the True True Friends song is putting them back together. By doing what they're good at (which is what the other character was failing at), they can re-learn who they're supposed to be. I love the theme that you can learn who you are by helping others. Lot more interesting than what most people imagine when they hear "kids shows."
So many people are doing these videos now and I love it! I've just recently started rewatching the show, and reactions to it, and the timing for all these videos is so perfect!
8:00 In the weird world of Equestria, _everything,_ from the change of seasons to the rising and setting of the sun, has to be accomplished by hoof. This includes day-to-day weather, and the movement and even formation of rain clouds. This apparently only extends to the borders of pony-developed lands; the neighboring Everfree Forest terrifies many of them because the climate and wildlife are independent. (EDIT: Whoops, mixed this up with another episode! The ponies' problems come from a spell that switched out their "Cutie Marks," which indicate their talent or special aspect.)
The marks on their flanks are called cutie marks and they are like representations of their talents and skills. The first song is from the my little pony movie so it looked better
The songs in this show are so, SO catchy. My al time favorites and what I ALWAYS recommend to people looking at the songs is "You'll Play Your Part" and "Kirin Tale" both of them absolute bangers.
I'd definitely recommend watching the series! I will say that the first two seasons are a bit slow to get through as that was when it was written more towards a younger audience. But after you get to the third season and beyond, it is amazing!!
The main TV series has loads and loads of songs in a bewildering array of styles and musical genres, and they range in quality from "Okay" to "Holy shit! That's amazing!" The theatrical movie (where the first song came from) has a couple of good songs in it, and there is a spin-off series of TV movies and specials, called "Equestria Girls", that is set in a parallel world, where human versions of the ponies attend high school. EQG has _mostly_ generic teen pop songs (especially at the beginning), with a couple exceptions (particularly the later villain songs). This spin-off also has some standalone music videos that showcase more variety than the main movies.
A word of warning, if you're going to take suggestions from the comments: You will inevitably get lots of recommendations for songs that were very impactful or emotionally moving *_in context_* but that are either incomprehensible or musically uninteresting, when experienced context-free in isolation.
The song _A True, True Friend_ that you listened to is one of those that are very confusing without the context from the show in general (What these characters are normally like, what the butt marks symbolise, and what those necklaces are) and the episode-specific context about the massive mix-up of memories and destinies that is being fixed here. But at least it's _musically_ interesting, with the harmonies being built up and up and _up_ in each repetition, layer by layer, with each character that joins into the chorus, even if the story being told is hard to make out.
My go-to example for a song that is a terrible suggestion, out of context, is one called _In Our Town_ (or just _Our Town)._ You are practically _guaranteed_ to get several recommendations for it, because in the context of the episode it's an important villain statement, and because in the context of the show the character who sings it becomes _very_ important later on in the series, inflating the perceived importance of this song in retrospect. But without all that meta-context, the song is _completely boring!_ Being boring and uninspired is, in fact, _the entire point_ of this song. It literally advocates passionless mediocrity and rigidly adhering to the lowest common denominator, and thus Daniel Ingram deliberately chose to score it as a bog-standard march rhythm without any flair or interesting flourishes.
And yet, some fans will inevitably recommend it for non-fans to listen to, devoid of all this context that makes it interesting - and then they wonder why it fails to amaze people.
To throw some recommendations of my own out:
_Winter Wrap-up_ was one of the earliest songs in the series that really made people sit up and take notice for the first time, and I feel it still holds up.
_A Kirin Tale_ from much later in the series is funny, bouncy, and requires little context, because its whole point is to serve as exposition in the episode.
_The Smile Song_ a.k.a. _Smile, Smile, Smile_ is another early one that's dear to my heart, because I'm a total sucker for those "This is who I am" character songs, but I contend that it's still a banger, even absent my personal fondness. Make sure, though, not to accidentally stumble into "Smile HD", which is an absolutely brutal, bloody, over-the-top violent fan animation that uses this song as background music.
Hell yes dude I really hope you end up watching the show, most of the songs are a million times better in context
I LOVE LOVE LOVE My Little Pony! I'm hear nodding when you say your theories! XD Just watch the series and you'll understand LOL
There's so many channels doing reactions to the songs for the first time recently 😅 I'm not complaining tho.
When My Little Pony: The Movie came out I was absolutely OBSESSED with Open Up Your Eyes and Tempest, the pony with the broken horn. I saw it in theaters when it first came out and loved it so much!
So the first clip came from the 2017 movie and it is why the animation was a bit different. It for sure had a Dreamworks feel to it. The "butt tattoos" are indeed called Cutie Marks and they show up on their flanks when they find their talent/purpose in life. This show, while originally developed for pre-teen girls, is about self discovery and overcoming hardship through friendship. That plot point along with great music and a good sense of humor is what really connected with both Millennials and GenZ. I personally HIGHLY recommend you react to the whole series as there is some amazing episodes and movies in its 9 seasons of running. The first season is a little closer to what you would expect from a show for little girls, as they obviously didn't anticipate their adult fan base, but they adapted for season 2 and beyond.
When you were watching "This day aria" it was edited version, she wasn't changing her form in oryginal (until after she was found out). Well, now it's to late xD
Ah i see what you mean
As people have already mentioned, the first song (Open Up Your Eyes) was from the movie, hence the animation glow-up
A True True Friend and What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me are obviously from the same episode, with their order actually being switched here (first their cutie marks (which represent their special talent) get switched up, messing with their heads/memories and convincing them that their talent is something they actually do not have any skill for, leading to all the chaos in What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me and THEN Twilight (purple unicorn) goes around along with the Elements of Harmony (necklaces) reminding each of them of their true talent, restoring both their memories and original cutie marks during the song A True True Friend)
I definitely recommend watching the show or even just giving the movie a try
(movie takes place a couple seasons into the show though so if you decide on doing both and care about spoilers, start with the series)
I love how everyone’s doing this now, as someone who grew up with this show it’s one of my favorite things to see tbh
The song “what my cutie mark is telling me” comes before the previous song you had watched. “What my cutie mark is telling me” was presenting the issue, and the previous song was solving it.
Oh, I think I just replied to your comment on another channel doing one of these videos. So I'm assuming you've already seen Scoot's videos by now xD
Has anyone told him about Lullaby for a Princess and The Moon Rises yet? I highly recommend reacting to those two, cuz they portray the first story really well and it's a good introduction to FiM.
So the second song is from the core show. And yes, MLP has bodysnatchers. The first is from the 2019 movie, but the show does get a visual upgrade (slightly) after that movie.
And just so you have the knowledge, marks are an identifier. If you have a bunch of skills, but you discover you're unusually good at a specific one, you get your mark in that talent. But Equestria has diseases and anomalies that can sometimes jumble marks and even the memories of ponies, leading to those last two songs. Ponies getting swapped around and forgetting their real talent but not being able to complete the tasks of their mismatched talent.
Everyone gets one mark, appearing around their teen years, and will live with it for life. But marks can evolve in their meaning; they're a source of magic and can be redefined or lose their power entirely. It's like having a buff in one skill, but you can stop doing that thing and really hurt yourself.

Ayy! I recognize you! Lmao

If you liked the southern accented Applejack, then you gotta hear "Raise The Barn" or "Apples to The Core".
Out of these four, I guess my favourite was A True True Friend. Because of the clever way they added instruments as the song progressed with each pony.
Raise This Barn always makes me cry a bit

Some of my favorite songs: The Magic Inside, You'll Play Your Part, At the Gala, Flawless, & You're in My Head Like a Catchy Song

For some background there was an evil queen called Chrysalis (who is pretty much just a bug) who feeds off of emotions, so she kidnapped Cadence (the pink/purple haired one) and impersonated her to marry her fiancé and feed of of him. (The guy who got mind controlled)
That would have lead to inevitable death of thousands and world domination, but that’s a whole other thing.
Her purpose was to feed of Shining Armour (the groom) and break down the magical barriers surrounding the city to allow her subjects (more evil bug-changelings) to take over the city and feed off of the emotions of everyone else.
Ehh, just some usual stuff in the MLP Cinematic universe.
The black and green pony is a changeling. They can shape shift and take the exact appearance of another character and are very good at manipulation. So yes the one model of Cadance was actually Queen Chrysalis in disguise.
These are just the tip of a massive iceburg of amazing story and music. And the really wild thing is the vast, vast array of songs in nearly every style and genre are nearly all done by one guy, Daniel ingram.
underrated gem of a song from MLP is babs seed fr
Please do "A Kirin Tale", "You'll Play Your Part", "Flawless", and "The Magic Inside (I Am Just a Pony)"
Song 1: It's from the movie, which was made using a new, experimental program. The show is animated in Flash, but the movie is animated in Toon Boom. The pony singing, Tempest, is a unicorn. There are 3 pony types, each with their own abilities, and unicorns can cast a vast assortment of spells. The purple pony is named Twilight Sparkle, and if you pay attention, she has wings in this song, while she doesn't in the other 3. Long story short, Twilight ascended to become an Alicorn, which is a pony with traits from all 3 pony species. The Alicorns are the ones who rule over Equestria, with Celestia at the head. Series creator Lauren Foust intended for Celestia to be a queen, but Hasbro insisted on the Alicorns all being princesses because they're more marketable.
Song 2: The pony who's all beat up is named Cadence, and she's supposed to be marrying Twilight's brother Shining Armor. The black pony who sometimes looks like her is named Chrysalis, and she's not actually a pony, but a changling. Changlings can change their appearance to look like anyone, or anything. They feed on love, and Chrysalis is the changling Queen. She took Cadence's place because Cadence is the princess of love, and Shining Armor is the captain of the royal guard, and it was because of his magic that the changlings couldn't get into Canterlot to steal love from everypony.
Song 4: This song is meant to be before Song 3, so I'll talk about it first. Cutie Marks are magical marks a pony gets once they realize their true talent. As part of her test to ascend as an Alicorn, Twilight accidentally swapped the cutie marks of her friends. This song is to show everypony failing miserably at doing the other pony's jobs, which they now think are their own due to the spell.
Song 3: The necklaces are the Elements of Harmony, magic jewels the Mane 6 use to protect Equestria. When Twilight cast the spell that swapped everyone's cutie marks, it was through their connection to the elements that caused everypony's cutie marks to switch. Twilight figured out that she could use the elements magic to restore harmony by reminding everypony of their true talents. Afterwards, she was able to re-write the spell that caused the mess, and in doing so ascended.
Id recommend Luna's Future, In our Town, and two really insanely good fan songs based on the actual lore of the show: Lullaby for a Princess, and The Moon Rises!

Welcome to MLP!
How is mlp who ended like 4 years ago still getting new people to it how good of a show you must be lmao
Those 2 cutie mark songs were played in reverse order. A pony's cutie mark shows up when they figure out what they are meant to do in life. In that episode a magic spell goes wrong and switches all the main characters marks around. But they don't have the skills to go with it so they are all making a mess of each other's jobs. The first cutie mark song you played was them going to each girl and getting their mark straightened out with the help of the one who was supposed to do the job.
Even without context these songs are lovely.
"The Magic Inside" from the episode "The Mane Attraction" has been a favorite song of mine for years; its been a decade since I watched the show and that song still gets stuck in my head!
One song from this series that I'd love for you to react to is My Past Is Not Today, a music video set as an in between to two of the movies.
1st song was from the my little pony movie and that is why it had a massive bump in animation.
2nd song this day aria, chrsalisys a shape changer took over as bride in order to steal love and feed off it.
mark on butt is a cutie mark that usually has to do with their talent or destiny. In a true true friend song their destinys were switched and the necklaces helped restore their original destinies.
last 2 songs were from the same episode. last one comes before true true friend. twilight the purple pony tries to complete an ancient spell and mess up her friend's cuti marks. then when she fixes it she ascends from a unicorn to an alicorn. Becomeing the 4th alicorn in the series. An alicorn has earth pony, pegasus, and unicorn abilities essentially
songs: a kirin tale, the spectacle and glass of water
regarding the second song, the fake pony you talked about is Queen Chrysalis, she's the queen of the changelings, (they take the form of a person you love and feed off your love) the reason why the wedding was so big was because the pony she's impersonating is a princess herself and is marrying twilight's brother who's actually also the captain of the royal guards, twilight was trapped in the same place as Cadence(the real pony) because she found out somepony was impersonating princess cadence who is also very dear to her as she's also her old babysitter, and the others didn't believe her at all, and regarded her as a sister who is just unhappy her brother is marrying someone, queen chrysalis is also planning to take over equstria
MLP is a wonderful show. Most episodes are just chill slice of life episodes, but here and there you get a villain and a 2 parter. And this show has some really good villains. There's one villain named Lord Tirek who is just an absolutely ruthless psycho and probably the most violent villain in the show.
The show was created by Lauren Faust, who had previously worked on shows like Powerpuff Girls. She did exit the show after season 2, but after she left they tried their best to keep the spirit of the show alive. For the most part it did just fine and was able to survive a 10 year, 9 season run.
The first was from the movie, and the last two were from the same episode but in reverse order. Without spoiling too much, something messed with their cutiemarks, causing them to pursue each others purpose in life which made a major problem. You got to see the resolution of that, before you got to see the problem itself.
And yes, to some degree the cutiemarks are their powers, but in a symbolic sense. Its not that having one gives you power, its that when you find your purpose, your overriding ambition or goal in life, a mark symbolizing that vision for your life appears on your hip for all to see. Highly advice sitting down and watching this show, especially if you've got kids. So many great life lessons.
I love it when tourists discover modern ponies. They always love it and it's epic.
For some information so you can understand a bit more the first song is based in the my little pony movie the others are in the series, you would understand what's going on in that certain song if you watched the movie. the second song is a song that was sung by Princess cadence and the changling (a being that can change into any pony/thing they feed off love to gain power) queen, queen Criysalis (i butchered that) the evil one is the changling queen pretending to be princess cadence to get close to prince charming bc prince charming is using a spell to keep a border around canterlot (a city ruled by princess celestia and princess luna) to stop the changlings from coming through, so she hypnotised prince charming so he could take down the barrier and let the changlings in, to infiltrate canterlot. the third 2 songs are a episode were the main 6 accidentally swap cutie marks (the mark on there bum is the mark that shows what there good at basically) twilight is the only one out of the 6 to still have her cutie mark so she finds everyone and helps them get there cutie marks to show them what there good at again bc they have different cutie marks they lost all there memories so to help her get there memories back she also gives them there element of harmony (the magic necklaces you see are the powers of the magic of friendship that help them defeat evil things) to help them, then they all get there memories and cutie marks back. i hope this helps you understand better. :)
The Cutie Mark is a ln expression of a pony's true self that appears when a pony has discovered that special thing that they are meant to do, their special talent, their purpose, "that certain something that makes [them] special!" The pattern itself isn't necessarily unique to the pony, but it oft represents something unique about that specific pony and has something to do with their special talent. It's also possible to not entirely understand what your cutie mark means, even believe it means something entirely different from what it actually is. There are at least four known spells that mess with cutie marks, one of them requires unique magical artifacts to even cast, and we know of only two unicorns to have cast any of them (outside of their unknown spellcrafters).
Welcome to the herd, you are in for one hell of a ride if you stick with this.
The mark is called a "Cutie mark" and it represents the destiny of the pony that has it. Also we call it a flank not an ass, just to keep it kid friendly.
Looks like the show is having a resurrection! More people are checking out the music. From there...well I'll just welcome you to the herd early lol
Yay!!!
The necklaces (and the one crown) are the elements of harmony. Laughter, loyalty, generosity, honesty, kindness, an magic.
The last song is supposed to come before the other song A True, true friend but you did them out of order. Basically all their Cutie Marks got mixed up thanks to the necklaces (and Twilight Sparkle, the purple unicorn) and now Twilight has to show them who they were meant to be. I think their memories also got effected as well.
Cutie marks represent a ponies special talent, and they are earned at a younger age. The last 2 songs were from the same episode, the last song you listene to is before the other song in the episode. The episode is the season 3 finale "magical mystery cure" but you shouldn't watch it first because it contains spoilers. Also the first song had the art style of the movie made by toon boom harmony. The style of the show is flash animation.
The mark on their rear is called a cutie mark. It’s what their talent is.
mark on a flank is called Cutiemark. Its a representation of a there spatial talant. Like magic, art, farming or mental health.
Thank you for giving it a chance. As a brony im a huge fan of My ittle pony: friendship is magic. I love your video and will now like it!! Very awesome!
I'm so happy to see all these channels react to MLP songs.
Cutie Marks aren't 100% explained in the show but they are about 80%
A cutie mark is typically a depiction of a ponies personality, special talent (something only they or a select few can do), or what their purpose in life is!
Sorry in advance for the info dump
There are three main forms of pony. Unicorns (who use magic) Pegasi (who fly and control the weather) and Earth ponies (who are stronger and grow plants better). There is also alicorn's who have the traits of all three and are basically gods. There's only 3-4 alicorns. Celestia (who controls the sun) Luna (who controls the moon) and Cadence (who controls love). There's also subspecies like bat ponies (pegasi with bat wings) kirin (added in the later seasons they're like scaly unicorns with lion like manes that catch on fire when angry). There is also a LOT of other races. Dragons, Griffins, Seaponies, Changlings (shapshifters who feed off love), Yaks, buffalo, etc.
The marks on their flanks are called cutie marks. Cutie marks are an innate part of growing up. When you discover the talent that makes you special or what you want to do with your life a mark appears that represents that talent or destiny. For example the Orange pony is Applejack. She grew up on her family farm but wanted to leave so she went to live with her cousins (the oranges) in the big city but when she saw an explosion of color from the direction of the farm (being vague cause it's a whole episode that goes into the main six's cutie mark stories) she realizes she's homesick and she was always meant to be an apple farmer so she gets the three apples on her flank. The song you saw involved a mysterious spell that swapped all their marks leaving them all miserable and thinking the swapped marks is what they always had. The necklaces are legendary artifacts that each of the main six became the bearers of in the first and second episode. Twilight (the purple one) is reminding them of their talents and then using the necklaces to info dump their true past to counteract the spell.
As for songs to recommend the more famous early ones would be "Winter Wrap Up" and "Smile". From the one mlp Pony Movie (the movie that first song was from) I'd suggest the opening song "We Got This Together" and "Time to be Awesome".
From the Equestria Girls movies (a side story movie that involves an alternate universe through a mirror portal where all the characters have human versions of themselves. Keep in mind there's six main characters in the show, in these movies the only characters from the show that cross through the mirror are Twilight (the purple pony turned human) and spike (the purple dragon turned dog) All the other characters look like the ponies but they aren't. That series of movies has a lot of good music. Only suggesting one from each movie in order there is "Equestria Girls (Cafeteria Song)", "Let's Have a Battle (Of the Bands)", "ACADECA", and "Stand for Everfree"
There are so many songs in this series. I'm not even suggesting the late seasons songs even though there's like 40 more really good songs. Oh and fan songs, entirely up to you if you want to ract to fan content but the #1 and #2 fan songs I see people not even into the show reacting to are "Lullaby for a Princess" and "The Moon Rises" both have high quality animations (that were worked on for years) to react to.
i love mlp so much!
i got into the fandom during the prime (2010-2013) and you couldn't escape FiM on the internet during those days
This series is my fav series of all time now. Started watching after 3rd season was fully released and then every saturday watching a new EP with excitement! It also let me met cool people that I still stay in contact with and it also helped me cope with awful emotional times. It has taught me a lot too. Has 9 seasons, around 4 Equestria girls movies, many other specials and shorts, all canon. Along with My little pony the movie by AllSpark and two other specials, also canon such as Rainbow Roadtrip and Best gift ever. Other shorts as well. The series starts simple at first and gets more complex and deep as season passes. The fandom has been a huge thing for a long time and it's still there, even on G5. Sadly some creators from youtube are not around anymore or not making fan made content. Some say it might be related to Hasbro and the franchise trademark, even though many of them did things from scratch. Or maybe they just wanted to pursue another path in their careers. Never been to a convention from the series but some I could name Bronycon (Not longer active), Harmonycon, Vanhoover. There's also a website called Equestria Daily where news about the series get posted, fanwork showcase, etc!
I do recommend the series to everyone, really! It's really great! My partner hasn't seen it but he was open to watch it with me so I introduced him into it. He doesn't consider himself a brony but he really enjoys it and don't regret a thing now. He finds it interesting, funny and really amazing songs so far. Deep too. Many people should give it a chance because I did in the past when it was blowing up the fandom with the bronies. That's what made me more curious to watch it and even my older brother started watching it back then. It made me cry when it ended. It's been a long journey.
For songs, I recommend:
-Flawless
-You'll play your part
-Welcome to the show
-Unleash the magic
The necklaces are the elements of Harmony which each of the main six represents a different element like Raity is the element of Generosity, Apple Jack the element of honesty, Pinky Pie the element of Laughter, Rainbow dash the element of Loyalty, Fluttershy the element of kindness, and Twilight the element of Magic
MLP songs recomendation: The magic inside, Smile, Winter wrap up
In this universe, a cutie mark represents both your purpose in life and your talent. In the episode, their memories and cutie marks were switched.
take a look at "smile" and "cheese sandwich (The Super Duper Party Pony)" songs
I love it if you reacted to this show!
The wedding one, the villain is a shapeshifting succubus intent on staging a shakespearean coup to sabotage the defenses of canterlot by controlling the captain of the guard- the groom- so she can feed the citizens to her brood.
For kids!
True story, the whole thing started with an editorial mandate, they wanted to introduce a pink princess toy and a wedding playset.
If you are ever going to watch fanmade songs then you should start with "Lulaby for a princess" "The Moon rises" as those are THE fanmade songs and they should always go hand in hand (same story from 2 diffrent points of view) :3
That first song never looses impact 😢😊.
I love that 2and song . It blows me away.
I recommend checking some fan made stuff as well! Some big ones include Lullaby for a Princess, The Moon Rises, and Children of the Night!!
A cutie mark is something ponies get when they discover their special talent! Also
What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me
comes before A True True Friend
I would recommend Winter Wrap-Up as a great song. Thr Goof-Off is a great, hilarious song with a guest voice. NO SPOILERS EVERYPONY!!!!
Is gen 4 coming back with a new wave of peeps :)
If you like apple Jack (southern pony) you should listen to the song Raise this Barn and Apples to the Core. Another good song is winter wrap up, babseed, and you’ll play your part
The series can get darker at times
The first song was from tbe 2017 movie and tbe rest are from the series. Both generation 4
Pony types have different maguc. Earth ponies manipulate the world around them to grow plants and food and usually have a large amount of strength.
Pegasi (winged ponies) control the skies and weather. They are the fastest ponies, barring magic.
Speaking of magic, unicorns use magic and spells in day to day life and are yhe first line to protect others.
Finally there are alicorns, the ultimate ponies. They are extremely rare and have the title of Princess. They use powerful magic and flight with their wings. They even have immense strengths and rule the lands. There are tbree currently (without spoilers).
Celestia controls the sun and rules equestria in rhe day.
Luna controls the moon and dream world and rules equestria at night.
Cadence rules over the crystal empire and protects the realm as it has some of the strongest magic in equestria.
The last two sings are from season 3 finale and was originally the end of the series. Cutie marks represent a pony's talent and affects their personality. They develop them when they discover their true talent.
Trust me watch the series. It is gen 4 of mlp and is the best generation of mlp thus far (gen 5 is still up in the air as it is ongoing but has been good thus far)
A quick definition for cutie marks (their “tattoos”)
They are earned when a pony finds that special thing that makes them unique. Specifically a talent.
Someone who’s a singer may have a music related cutie mark.
Pinkie pie (if you got the name from the song, she’s the fully pink one) has a balloon cutie mark as she’s a party planner.
They each represent the ponies job/purpose in a way
For the most part, but at the same time it's not always the case. Sometimes it may reflect their personality (such as Derpy and her bubbles cutie mark).
If you're all right with fan-made songs "Lullaby for a Princess" is very well done and explains the conflict that leads to the events of episode 1 in the show. As for songs from the show "Art of the Dress" really speaks to the creatives watching and shows how easy it is to get overwhelmed when creating things for others.
FORGOT THE MOON RISES EXIST DON'T YOU?
And that first one was from a movie, just so you know.^^
There are so many songs in this series like so many this series has 9 seasons with 2 movies 4 movies from another world but is canon and that other world has many songs and shorts or episodes too. The first one was the mlp movie song
MLP FiM is an absolute amaze show and you should totes watch it !
The title might be “my little pony friendship is magic” but there’s a lot of EPIC episodes/ fight scenes and awesome villains
In the first song, the lady with the broken horn didnt lose her powers.... its more like when youre using a device with an exposed wire, it starts heating up and making sparks.
songs I recomand:
Magic Inside of you
Luna's future
Battle of the bands
Under Our spell
Welcome to the show
Friendship through the ages
Accadeca
Unleash the Magic
Midnight Inside of me
Tempest Shadow (broken horn unicorn) in the first song is voiced/sung by Emily Blunt
I love when non mlp fans react to the songs especially when they begin vibing to the songs
"I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that"
Welcome to the fanbase lol That being said, and you probably already know this by now, the first song was from a movie. They had a huge animation budget!
Oh boy. You ended up reacting to two songs (out of order) from the S3 Season Finale, which was the first "conclusion" that the show came to in its nine-season run. Now I've got to explain cutie marks!
To put it simply, cutie marks are an expression of a pony's true self - what makes them special and unique in the world. Ponies are born without it being visible, and it appears when they get the feeling that they know for sure what their place in life is, which is an important rite of passage for a pony nearing adulthood.
So much for the simple part - obviously, cutie marks are magic, and interwoven with fate and a pony's true self, so powerful magic that can actually mess with them _also messes with a pony's true self and with their place in the world,_ which is what happens in the Season 3 Finale. There are some other intricacies to cutie marks as well, but I won't spoil those.
As for powers, there are three main types of ponies, each with their own set of powers:
- unicorns, who have a horn and can cast magic. Usually this is basic telekinesis plus a few spells related to their talents and interests, but depending on magical and scholarly ability, extremely complex spells are possible. As you've seen, however, being able to properly _control_ any spells at all relies on an intact horn.
- pegasi, who have the power of flight and the ability to interact with water vapor as if it was solid, and even form it into clouds.
- earth ponies, who can influence the world around them and display unusual strength - traditionally, this manifests in a penchant for downright magical agriculture, but one of the main characters will show you just how crazy earth pony powers and their influence on one's surroundings can get.
There is also a special type of pony: alicorns, who possess a horn, wings, and earth pony strength, nigh-immortality, and are traditionally revered as rulers of the world.
I do recommend watching the show to find out more!
