While the jerk baits are great for pike the next lures before those are the top water wobblers. Pike love those considerably and they have a 5% attractant effect at a 4m radius in the water when they land. I do suggest using a steel leader with pike though. Pike don't care about your line or leader material and it doesn't affect their bite rate. So a 5 - 10 kg steel leader on Kuori can be bought cheap off the tackle shop and will drop the chance of having the line cut completely.

Nice video! Trophy pike for sure will cut the 15 kg line, you can do this only if you don't hunt the trophy.

Chances of me catching a trophy with my setup is pretty low, but yea, you're right.

I tried the lure you recommend, it's high bite rate for lake trout.
    Nice video

what's the lures you're using? how do you choose them? do you go for the Weeklies? previous knowledge? any other method?

I normally don't fish for pike, never had really, so I started off by looking at what was available to me. A lot of the wobbler descriptions says "for pike" and in the user's manual is shows where pike live and says a jerkbait rod is for pike, so with that said, jerkbait is good for pike, which I don't have access to. I tested a lot of lures as you can see in my video and ended up seeing that the X-Crank 06 @10:25 had a better bite rate so I stuck with that.
I may get ideas from weeklies, such as color or size, but I like to try a lot of things and then share what works. For example, while fishing at Kuori, I'm using the ULF crank which you will never see on the weeklies, but I'm doing damage with them. That's because people are probably trolling and I'm not, however, if you compare my cashouts with people that are trolling with 2 rods and a lot of the times I'm doing better, especially since these videos are geared towards beginner players with 10-15kg setups that don't have 30k silver in the bank.
