    You know whats funny? 10-8 sights are actually the best iron sights on the market by far. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised though, Mr Yam is indeed a gun guy. I guess it goes to show, gun guys will create better stuff than engineers that arn't gun guys.

    Why did they stop the full length dust cover? That was one of my favorite features. I still bought my 2020 staccatos but would have loved the full length dust cover.

    • @wallerwhittemore6563

      I agree I wish that was standard on the newer models, I think is partly to do with the increased volume they are producing, unfortunately I don’t think we are going to see the same level of machining on the super small details but shootability seems to be the same from my experience.

    I bought a 2022 Staccato P DUO five days ago and waiting for my LAS Saya AIWB holster to arrive.
    I’ve been intrigued w the design since I learned about it in the 90s. First with the .45 for obvious reasons, then the 10mm. As I learned they were mainly geared for competition use, I stood fast. When the Marauder was released, I got excited! The only reason I didn’t buy it was because I couldn’t find information about it being duty/defensive rated. Then the Staccato was born… and since I’m not a beta tester, I waited a bit. My local dealer had a few flavors available, and that set my wheels in motion. I went back sometime later, and out of stock. When I went back to attend a class, there she was in a beautiful glass case above some Wilson and tuned P320 variants. After licking the windows for a few minutes and eyeing the clock as the store (register) was closing, I asked if I could see the Staccato P. She was perfect and the gentleman was more than happy to conduct the sales process. I was eight minutes late to my class, but all were accepting as they knew what I was buying.

      I have a P, I prefer my Beretta m9. I’ve done some polishing and changed the hammer spring on the m9 but that’s it. I have a shadow 2 I prefer over the P also. I’m fortunate enough to own quite a few race guns and I find the staccato to be in the middle of the pack for guns I own or have shot. There’s nothing wrong with the staccato, I have no complaints but I think there’s better for less money.

    I like the 4.45 better, just wish they still had the full length dust cover!

  • @willxu08
    @willxu08 4 года назад +1

    Glad you did some comparison between the two version. 4.45' is a little bit soft shooting but 4.15' version has a much better finish. It's little bit shiny and super smooth and durable. Beside, the full rail looks more tactical compare to the 4.45' one. And the grip, I don't want to say it's my personal opinion but every single person I met who got both told me the same thing: 2020 version grip has nothing to compare with the 2019 version in terms of comfortability. STI is just want to cut the cost(no magwell?) and increase the production quantity to meet the demand.

    Thanks Hilton for the great videos and specifically this review. Since you now own a C2 and your P’s what are your impressions of the C2 v P 4.15? Is the P 4.15 the Goldilocks between the C2 & the P 4.45?

    • @108Performance
      @108Performance  3 года назад +2

      The P 4.15” is the “grail” IMO as it’s about as soft as P 4.45 but with the ODS grip it’s about as concealable as the C2 (except some bit heavier, but a good rig makes that moot). Sadly that Grail configuration is about as easy to source/assemble as the actual fabled cup.

      Check your mag. I took all of mine apart and put slight bit of gun oil coating on the plastic sides and the insides of the mag. It has helped a lot. Also, I clean my gun after each range session, and key is to keep it clean from debris. Never had an issue with my P.

    Hi Hilton hopefully you or somebody would see this comment and can answer some questions I want to know. So I'm debating which one I should get between 3 guns all Staccato. 1st one is the 2019 Staccato P Duo Saami Black with the 2nd gen grips 2nd gun is 2020 Staccato P 3rd gun is Staccato C. I think I narrowed it down to the Staccato P. I watched many reviews including yours on differences between 2019 and 2020 P's in terms on down the line if I were to sell it which one is more desirable and has more resell value. I'm a little confuse on the 2019 model I see them with the older treebark grips the one that I'm interested on buying has the 2nd gen grip with the stars also I've seen most Staccato if not all has that DLC coating on the gun more shinnier thank the one I'm looking at which on the tag state Saami Black which is like a flate matte Black finish. Which finish would be better between the 2? I'm sure between the 2 models older 2019 or newer 2020 are similar in terms on how they shoot. Just now I just have to decide if I want the older moder with the DUO or the get the newer 2020 model without the DUO. If i went with the 2020 P model can I send it in the slide to Staccato to get the DUO cut on it? Thank you and I hope I will get some replies. Jim

      2019 DUO - it's optic ready and they only made that size format for 1 year. It's my favorite of the various sizes/formats. Just as a pro tip: if you wish to ask detailed questions or be sure to reach me, you'll do better emailing through the website.
