I know I'm replying to an old video but I used this to confirm my thoughts on swapping a Stampede body onto a Rustler. The other thing to mention, I run a square setup too (same offsets at all four) by simply swapping the stock rear arms for Slash ones. Yes, that protrak kit is "better" and also you can get wider front arms from RPM, but sometimes IMO the simplest answer is best. Slash rear arms give some toe-in out back to help with traction under throttle and with front offset wheels at all four it's the same width as stock. Who doesn't have some Slash arms in their parts pile? Haha. I always looked at the Stampede as a HCG Rustler. I have two of them, one is a Bigfoot, the other is a Grave Digger. I'm fine leaving them as HCGs.
Man that Rustler 😉 took some hits. Drives sweet. Totally agree with the statement "It's the Stampede Traxxas should've made." Hopefully they're listening. 👍
😁👍way better with the flat chassis... on my stampedes I used to mount the battery under the chassis in between the fake roll cage things and it handled way better..also used a shock tower part and put it on the rear of the chassis and it was a simple quick way to extend it like 1" longer....O the good old days!
I’ve just picked up a second hand Bigfoot. Went on RUclips and found this which resonates with me. I like to modify and push my cars to their best potential. So I thought the 2wd stampede would be a cool little project, and it was cheap😊 Just ordered the protrak kit 👍
I have the 2wd bigfoot stampede n always heard the 4x4 stampedes were suppose to be a blast, but im glad ur back on the monster truck kick, im really getting into solid axle monster trucks
@@RazorRC Hey razor Cen Racing recently came out with the HL150 and B50 solid axle monster trucks. Also check out the MST MTX1 I believe its called. It's a brushless solid axle MT. And I believe Stevo was talking about the redcat ground pounder which I know he owns. But I have that cen HL150 on my radar! Looks pretty cool and different!
i had at one time a traxxas slash 4x4 and did all the up greads . had on it mip , proline , rpm , lcg . but now i have a xmaxx and brings all the filling back again why i love rc car !!
Great video, thanks for sharing. Looks closer to a Rustler. Did you give any thought to using the LCG Slash chassis? ~2.5" longer than Stampede wheelbase. Body fitment could be an issue. I'm considering converting my 2wd Stampede to LCG Slash, but I prefer my Arrma models so I'm torn on spending the money...
Yeah a Rustler with pro-trac suspension, 2,8'' wheels and a pickup body, that's basicly the discontinued Pro-Line Pro-MT, with the Pro-Line body posts its a perfect fit for the Pro-MT Sentinel body. www.redrc.net/2014/11/pro-line-pro-mt-110th-2wd-monster-truck-kit/ Besides from the rear axles and axle carriers all the parts are interchangeable, but the rear traxxas axles and axle carriers fit . I wouldn't call it a stampede, but it is a fun rig, I have one myself, will post video hopefully before winter. Thanks for posting
Great build man! I have a Rustler with Stampede size tires that I love to bash around with. The ultimate 1/10th scale monster truck to me was the Proline Pro MT 2wd, I have one that I have never ran because its discontinued and I cant get certain parts anymore.
If i get the rustler chassis, does everything on the current stampede just bolt right up? Or do I need to order different parts to make it all fit?? Awesome build btw
I was going to buy a Rustler roller off eBay and build something like this. But after it's all said and done it came out to over $400 haha. That's not even with upgrades lol. It's cheaper to buy a new Stampede VXL and then buy the Rustler chassis plate, top plate and steering rack. Way cheaper.
Hi, I have the chance to get same electronics, was there any problems fitting? Mounting holes etc the same as titan 12t? Is it easy to get gears for 5mm shaft, I'm sure traxass rustler is 3.1mm? Thanks
I got a grave digger Stamp2de when I was a little kid and enjoyed it, time passed and I rediscovered it in the garage. Put a brushless system in it and swapped out some parts to make it Bigfoot themed. I am kind of getting sick of constantly doing wheelies and flipping tho (lol) Is it possible to do what you did but keeping it simpler? I would only need the rustler chassis, servo linkages/mount, top plate and bottom chassis bars right? You are the first person I have seen that tried to improve a 2 wheel drive pede. How long did those pin tires last? I am contemplating
Can you give me a list of parts; because i have a stampede 2wd and agree with you about how it runs and wish i wold have gotten something differant like a rustler
U should check out chuckworks rc he makes all kinds of traxxas custom chassis. 1 being a mid motor stampede chassis. And also an extended mid motor pede chassis
Man oh man, that's the nicest Stampede around #YeaBecauseItDoesntHaveOneStampedePartOnIt #OhTraxxas. Granted, Traxxas does have the best business model going: they sell millions of garbage cars to make their margins and that allows them to make their pretty solid select few like the UDR or the summit, which are two of my all time favorite rc's, albeit from my least favorite rc company. Anywayyyysss, I meant to ask on your losi vid, what are you filming with (what kind of camera and are you using a gimbal?) Love the channel, Brother.
Ya now that they have the 4x4 rustler chassis that would help some with handling also on mine I ran pro lines wide arms and it actually did pretty good on a track
I like it but i dont classify it as a stampede this is just an upgraded rustler with wider arms and a monster truck body and tires. None the less cool build.
That is a Rustler with bigger than stock 2.8 monster wheels/tires and different body post. All other parts are the commonly used Rustler/Bandit/2wd Stampede/2wd Slash upgrades. It's not a "Lcg Stampede" if you're not using a Stampede chassis. That's a highly modded Rustler.

Frankentruck :) It's the least Traxxas Stampede around! I like it, solid build sir. Thanks for sharing!

Where did you order from? Did you get the full kit or pieces
@@graysons3471 I live in the uk, so I had to really search for a full kit. I luckily found one online :) Sorry, probably does't help you.
This is sick, now i wanna build one up
Enjoyed the build review and bash. Sweet spot there too! I like stadium trucks so I really like this truck!
I have the 2wd bigfoot stampede n always heard the 4x4 stampedes were suppose to be a blast, but im glad ur back on the monster truck kick, im really getting into solid axle monster trucks

Seems more like a modified rustler
That's all it really is lol. It's just a Rustler with Stampede body mounts lol.
Right?
Good job Razor ... great build 🤙
thanks!
Awesome frankentruck. Super durable 🤙
That's a pretty fancy Slash! 👍
Great Lakes RC 🤣😀👍
Wow thats a lot of upgrades 👍

Love this,lots of power 👍🏻
That's fantastic even 5 years later 😂😂 I know what I'm doing to my stampede next 😂😂 dust her off first
So cool bro that's fantastic
Ive got a 2wd Stampede VXL and it handles a heck of a lot better with the rpm wide upgrade, some decent shocks, and some good tires.

My favourite handling truck is the team magic e5 😁

Could you link the suspension stuff? I am trying to convert my stock xl5 stampede with the blue LCG chassis. What all would I need?
What a interesting video my friend~!!👍👍👍
love it
Nice build tho 4 sure. I plan to build my self amd my son stampede hopefully soon
Are there any Stampede parts on it? I came here having a stempede and looking to make it more stable. Solution seems to be replace everything 🤣
Just the chassis and some steering stuff other then that pretty much the same
Check out the long arms from rpm

Was thinking about making a monster slash 4x4 with 3.8 tires would the gears hold up?
I take it you are in the Bay Area? Where’s that cool park at ?

I have proline power strokes on my rustler could I do this with those shocks?

what size are the team losi shocks and what you recommend size shocks for the tlr shocks for a race slash 4x4

can you do stampede 4x4 conversion to truggy
Maxx Davidson a rustler 4x4 is basically a truggy conversion
urc has a pretty good video on that

1st!
Do you have a link for the Hot Racing gear diff?

pretty cool, but it's not a Stampede. LOL
I did very similar by just putting Stampede wheels and tires on my VXL Rustler...

It's not a stampede if you have a rustler chassis!!! You have a rustler w/stampede parts and not even that many to begin with. It's a Frankentruck!
Any chance you would post a parts list for that transmission?
Ken Stouffer I’ve got a 32p conversion video that explains it
Ok.
Sorry not a stampede...😮 Rustler or bandit with big wheels..
Not a stamped its straight up a rustler lmfao
It's a basic rustler with a brushless system not a stamped at all
Is the base car the 2wd stampede and if so where did you get the chassis
It’s more of a rustler
