@@EverythingYou1 mine is painted too tho, but when did you order cause their suppose to take 6-8 weeks on PU, and then extra a couple extra for paint jobs
It is really not okay and is unfortunately one of my problems with the surf industry as it relates to the shaping of surfboards themselves. Somehow, we have allowed this mentality to take hold where there are no real concrete deadlines for when the product gets completed. I get that surfboards aren't the same kind of good as say, a custom built computer or a piece of furniture. But that doesn't mean that customer service should be nonexistent and that people are told BS delivery times for the product in order to get them in the door. I also feel like priority is given to pro surfers over normal folks, which is also not okay. PS: Much respect for the Pyzel and his boards. I have had several over the years and they have all been great.
Thinking about retirement, I would love to shape for the young generation of surfers in my coming years. Got some skills, but I wonder if a pro like Pyzel would ever take me on as an apprentice.
Hey man! I just got into surfing and I have a wave storm 8 footer from Costco and it works well on the small waves. But when the waves start to get bigger it’s super hard to paddle out bc I can’t dive underneath from the INSANE buoyancy lol. What board do you recommend wouldn’t do that but would still be good for small waves?
Id get a board a couple inches bigger then you with a volume relative to your size until you are used to paddeling short boards.. the smaller the board the easier to duck dive but harder to paddle..
@@masonhunter855 the thing about paddling depends on how was his interaction with water before that. I for example am a swimmer, and I had almost no problem with paddling at all. Boards are not a cheap thing, so you should take all that in consideration. Don’t get a shortie if your paddling is bad tho.
@@matteoscarduaverona3431 depends on where you are surfing alot of places I surf on Maui are reef breaks 200 yards out..and I am used to paddeling boards well under my height and volume but until you are used to keeping your back arched for hours at a time paddeling sideways in choppy water nose sinking while In a rip it's best to go with a board about 4-10 inches taller and more volume because until you have the fundamentals down you wont get any of the advantages a shorter board has to offer in manuverability. More paddle = more waves caught = more fun if you are just starting to learn how to pump and hit the lip.
Add in cost of the blank, fibreglass, resin, fin boxes, tools, computers, software, cnc machine, shop, electricity, r&d, packaging, employees, etc etc etc, and I’m like, how da ef is he selling them so cheap, especially with added cost of everything in Hawaii, dude is doing everyone an amazing service.
entertaining video by showboating Koa, hey how about an expose about rocker on a surfboard, its relationship to length and width and thickness. What are the limits of rocker ? how does the shaper measure and ensure the designed rocker ? the shape transition of the surfboard rocker from nose to tail ? characteristics of rocker that make for a magic board ? how does Pyzel determine rocker ? plus other shape characteristics like thickness, rail shape, outline, tail shape, and how does volume translate into a everyday surfer's perception and/or understanding ? guess I see if Koa responds

Shapers ain’t gonna tell you that 😅 it’s like asking directly for secrets 😂
no front to pyzel, but those are not hand shaped boards. those are 99% cnc shaped boards and then take out the cnc lines by hand.
10 to 12 weeks for my shadow dark arts 🤯😅
That board will be worth the wait
once they see this comment make that 20 weeks.
