I improved my game by playing against a friend who was much better than me and continually beat me at Scrabble. I eventually learned all her strategies and now we each win 50% of the time.
As far as I remember, the following Words have the potential to get you a lot of Points. Quiz Squeeze Jinx Jukebox Jumpy Juicy Jackets Jelly Aquarium Quadruple Aquatic Zodiac Quicksand Quagmire Earthquake Hazy Cozy Frenzy Crazy Freezer Frozen Wizards Wizardry Inequality Equality Quality Qualify Amazing Quizmaster Quietly Quickly
Known as front and back extensions. You can catch your opponent off guard if you think the word takes the prefix out in front of it. The beginning players will challenge a lot of your words and you’ll get more free turns.
Once you have the basics down and know a lot of words, the following tip really raised my game. Look at your rack and try to remove letters that are bad for making 7 and 8 letter words. Conversely, keep letters that are good for long words (S; blank etc.). Look to reserve common prefixes and suffixes (ING; ATE; etc.). Arrange prefixes and suffixes on your rack where they are likely to appear in words that you play, this will help you spot longer words quickly. Often, this will mean that you have to sacrifice several points on a few turns, but I think you'll be surprised by how often you can score a bingo once you get a feel for this strategy.
An even more advanced tip: ING is *not* a good leave when the board is not open enough for 8-letter bingos. 7s with ING are really difficult to play due to the pattern of vowel-consonant-consonant, which is hard to overlap, coupled with the fact that G can only make AG, GI, GO, GU#, UG#
I am professional scrabble player and i found your video recently and yea it was good explained for the beginners but there was few mistakes i would like to explain more. For the first tip it might be better to play words like quick when you necessarily want to play high points letter with no value words which is by itself not the good option when you are looking for more points in long term. You are absolutely right with the tactic, i would personally choose something like Rack added to Beagle to make Beagler you know and save Q for double letter tactic with qi on double word button for example.
I’m only on tip number one and already I’m like “gooooood tip” 😍 it’s good because if I get a word in my head (spelled out with my tiles) I now realise that it’s then difficult to see beyond that word, it acts like a block to coming up with words that will actually fit in the board 👍🏽 ha ~ I’m loving this, I haven’t played in years but my son has agreed to start having a scrabble night with me once a week and I’m definitely not competitive 😜 I’m just brushing up 😝 haha I bet if my son had time he’d be ‘brushing up’ 😉😉 as well.
Especially QI, ZA, XI, XU, JO. Another thing to know is that if you know all of those two letter words, not only can you score a lot of points without really opening up anything for your opponent, but you can hook your bingos easier. And you could draw a challenge from a very weak player.
I play alone. I try to beat own my high score and use only one rack. I apply modified tournament for solo. ( Time limit is 50 minutes.(Excluding recording time. Only includes thinking and placing time.) Three consecutive zero scoring turn ends game immediately. All words should be valid. Unplayed tile penalty subtracts all tiles not played including tiles in the bag.) Any thoughts?
Aargh!!! QUAI(L) for 24 points when 76 was available for QUACKI(E)R or 58 for (BEAGLE)R / QUARK (BEAGLER, QUARK and QUACKIER are all valid in both the North American lexicon and the international one) He even has QUACKI_R spelt out on the rack. I wonder if he was planning to show that and decided not to.
00:54 Just play QUA (A next to the L of LIME) or QI adding the I to the Letter B making QI and BI.. both are more points that QUAIL. Getting rid of the Q is important. But at the very least get your Highest point score for the Q if you can.
What a joke. Anyone who's not a Scrabble amateur who draws the (admittedly very low probability) rack of ACIKQRU and spots an open 'E" would immediately play 'QUACKIER'.
Thank u so much for uploading this! I’m going yo join a scrabblr contest in our school and I’m just a beginner. This tips are helpful and I will surely apply this on my next practice.
Download 'Scrabble Go' from the app store cuz it's really good, the best game. And watch this video of me playing the Word Drop game from the Arena part of the game as I truly am God at it.. There are definitely more tips than those three. You definitely want to learn the two letter words and the three letter words acceptable in Scrabble. you also want to know a lot of eight letter words. Using the S wisely is definitely important. Trying to put high scoring tiles on triple letter scores. If you get the opportunity, try to find a word that covers multiple bonus squares and the same turn. For example you can cover a triple letter score and a double word score on the same turn, especially if you can find a word that has Q and Z on those squares.
COS is the lettuce. COZ or CUZ is like short for cousin. The more two and three letter words you know, the better your chances of hooking your seven letter Bingos easier.
OK I have a question . if a player made a word eg ear and the "e" has a double word beneath it and then I place a "y" to make year so will I also add the points of the double word beneath "e"?
I think there are some versions of Scrabble where you can play up to nine letters on your rack. But the common rule is 7. You don’t have to make a seven letter word to get a bingo. You have to use all seven of your letters on your rack.
OR....don't become good at scrabble because then no one will want to play with you and when they do, they accuse you of cheating. It really does take the joy out of it. I play online and people are so nasty and say horrible things when I get on a roll. I know they are just being poor losers, but it makes it less enjoyable.
Eat a whole Dictionary.

Long words like these aren't really frequent. Two and three letter words are what makes a difference.
Another tip:
Always add affixes or suffix to lengthen your word and gives you more points
Yes! Love those extra points!
Known as front and back extensions. You can catch your opponent off guard if you think the word takes the prefix out in front of it. The beginning players will challenge a lot of your words and you’ll get more free turns.
Wait you can use suffix and prefix?
wait wut in your scrabble game, suffixes are allowed??? not fair even nouns aren't allowed
@@hiiliekmusic807 Nouns are allowed, I think you meant proper nouns.

Wait can you add (ed,er,or,etc) at the back of the word? Like titled, sailor, teacher
I just memorize all of the two letter words, and it works brilliantly. It pisses both of my parent :)))
I did the exact same thing.

Hi - Which 2 letter words can be pluralised ((based on Collins Dictionary) please?
Bruh quackier at the start gave you 76 points, you missed the point of bingos

What about laying down 'QUACKIER", running it through the "E" at the end of BEAGLE?

Quail doesn't seem right to gift the q and a triple word
Quackier, real word gives you a bingo +50 on the count. Under beagles for the multiple words you could play shift and get quails eh and a better word
Thank you so much for tips
I’m addicted to scrabble. It’s becoming a problem.
I'd say that's not a bad addiction to have :P

Can i use yeet?
thank you
it great not learning new words coz there are so many, but 2 and 3 letter words are very important. COZ is a type of lettuce and ABO is a fish
Yes definitely, it's helpful to have a dictionary by your side :)
COS is the lettuce. COZ or CUZ is like short for cousin. The more two and three letter words you know, the better your chances of hooking your seven letter Bingos easier.
Thanks brother
OK I have a question . if a player made a word eg ear and the "e" has a double word beneath it and then I place a "y" to make year so will I also add the points of the double word beneath "e"?
No
No, because it's not your tile
Yes
Only the person who physically covers that square gets the bonus.
Thank you for your tips. I haven't win over my husband and my son yet. It's either 2nd or 3rd. 😀
You'll get there! Keep practicing!

0:57 ... If the other dude has UIZ in his rack, that move is gonna BLOW some SERIOUS GOATS to the tune of 66 points
You could have put Quackier.
Yes! Even more points!
Scrabble is played with 8 starter letters . Well good job on vid
Noob King you play scrabble with 8 tiles on your rack?
I think there are some versions of Scrabble where you can play up to nine letters on your rack. But the common rule is 7. You don’t have to make a seven letter word to get a bingo. You have to use all seven of your letters on your rack.

How can we play from mobile phone
Download 'Scrabble Go' from the app store, it is a great game.
I’m sure if he was an expert player, he would know that CLIME is an acceptable word, and he could've played QUACK that way for tons of points.
49 points. Nice. But 58 points for (BEAGLE)R/QUARK are available or even better QUACKLI(E)R for 76.
is it me or did he just drop a c and a k for an I and an l.......!!!!
He didn’t do quacker
That would have also been an option!
I saw “quackier” lol
I came here for the app scrabble lmao
Para que lo traducen, la lógica del español es diferente a la del inglés
I still lose...
you should have put "QUICKER" and score 38 points
Nice one 🙂
Quail. Not qual
