yes the video is incorrect. if you compare them both from the top down, the 224 has a relatively more dressy almond shape compared to the broad clownshoe 8
I’m a 7US in Iron Rangers, Old Beckmans and Blacksmiths with the 8 last. The Moc Toe Beckmans had the 224 last and 7 US was way too tight on my foot, so I will recommend to up at least 1/2 size from your regular 8 last boot.

On the redwing site they say it fits true to size so probably go with whatever your brannock measurement is. Also they aren’t available in wide sizes unfortunately.
I just picked up the Black Cherry today. I wear 10 1/2 in IR’s so 11 in the Becks. They look great! The only problem I see is that the speed hooks dig into the tongue scratching and cutting it up.
Awesome video appreciate all the angles and specs! But the Iron ranger and blacksmiths use the no.8 last and one of the bigger questions being asked is how they size in comparison. Some are saying they're noticably narrower.
This is not the same last as the iron rangers and blacksmiths. Both of those, and the old Beckman are the #8 last. This new Beckman is on the 224 last. Sode bunside, they do not look the same at all. This is much slimmer and sleeker, especially through the toe.
Beautiful boots, but they should not have been named Beckman. Beckman 2.0 maybe? It's a marketing stunt to sell to those who felt they mised out on the original - which, by the way was more distinctive. This looks like every other boot
I miss the old version with bump toe #8 Last. I had a pair over a decade ago and loved them.
Exactly. Nice lil video, very much appreciated and I am glad to have the previous version in black and black cherry.
Prefer the new flatter toe personally.
@@markjonz then you are all set. You going to buy one?
Iron Rangers and Blacksmiths are on the number 8 last. I was hoping for some fit notes on the 224.

2:07: Umm... Both the Iron Ranger and the Blacksmith use the number 8 last, not the 224.
@@EdAbexactly.
Came here to say the same... I wanna know if it's a structured toe or not 🤔
@@dizzle_6 unstructured
@@xfani Wrong. They are structured but without the bump toe of the number 8 last. The 9060 Beckman Flatbox is the one that is unstructured.
And they fit different. Half a size up from number 8 unless tour feet are slim and they slide from side to side in your usual Blacksmith.

Wow! Red Wing Listened!
I have the OG Beckmann in a moc toe….which is rare, weird and cool. I wonder if they will do that again
Finally, Redwings without a raised toe box. 👍
I still have the black cherry......wish the new one as good as the old mine....
i have the same ones, these new ones look thinner

Beckman’s IMO was the best built heritage boot Red Wing made. Still rock mine in Cigar Featherstone.
Hi! Wonder when there gonna be available on your website?
4th September!
Why were they removed from the Redwing website?
Do they come in size us 6?
The smallest size is a US 7!
Can't decide between black or cherry. 😝
Will this be a Son of a Stag exclusive only model?
We'll be the first UK retailer to have them, but they're not SOAS exclusives.

Bring back the Billy boot!
Looks similar to the wolverine 1000 boot without the bump.
Woah, the legendary Beckman is back!? That's extremely sick!
Right on!

These absolutely butchered my feet 10 years ago, I’m not exaggerating I’ve still got the scarring on my heels!
Wrong size maybe?
This guy lost any and all credibility when he stated that these are made on the same last as the iron rangers and beckmans.
Harsh, but it is innacurate.
Bro was making stuff up for this video LOL it is NOT the same last as the iron rangers do NOT just order the same sis as your iron rangers
they're ugly. wouldn't waist my money. shape is below average.
all this cosplaying is getting out of hand..
Cosplaying as what? Someone who buys quality products? 😂😂😂
