Here are a couple of tips and tricks for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 which is running Android 10 and OneUI version 2.5. In this video, I show how you use the split screen view to do some multitasking and how you open apps in free floating windows. You learn details about the energy saving mode, the kids mode, and how you can use it with a keyboard and mouse.

I'm 70 years old and this is my first tablet or android experience. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I learned a lot the first viewing, couple more lessons and I'll be a pro. Not giving up my flip phone though, lol

Review is not complete if you doesn't compare with something five times more expensive.
I never understood why car review doesn't compare Honda Civic against class S Mercedes.
@@foca2002 because comparing it with something more expensive is unfair for the cheaper device. If you compare a budget tablet with a luxury tablet then obviously the luxury tablet would win because it would have more features. It's clearly unfair.
Thanks! It’s really nice having someone not talk about this tablet in a snobbish way. I can’t stand when tech people look down at lower priced items and compare them to $500 tablets snobbishly!

Right I am a IT Specialist and I have the A7 and I love it vs the Ipad.
Yes we should always look at what is available as competition rather than comparing a 250$ tablet with a 400 or 600 one.

My Tab A7 has just been delivered. I am not very technical, so while I was waiting for it, I watched all the videos I could find about the Tab A7. Apart from one that was just about the set-up procedure, this was by far the most useful. Lots of things I will definitely use, but not mentioned by anyone else. Do you also have one about the set-up procedure? I'll check your channel. Then I might have the courage to actually open the box and switch it on. Electronic devices usually give me stress, but you are a great help. Thank you.
This actually has some great features
Nice short tutorial. Maybe in the future, between new tablets, you can do more? And perhaps a little more depth from time to time? I also enjoy it when you share some of your attachments like a keyboard. Good stuff.

I had this tablet for 6 months now it was supposed to be gifted to me at my birthday but it was for my online classes and most likely my new gadget since my old one is severely broken, I never knew abt the transparency thing on pop up and others so it's really helpful.

I knew the dark mode and battery saving mode but these are really cool.

Another interesting feature is Wind down mode is quite helpful. It turns the display black and white and is very soothing to eyes. Also you can set maximum time of usage for any app. It limits your time spent on the apps.

It is possible to connect a budget drawing tablet, such as the One by Wacom, to improve handwriting notes, and drawing! I am very happy to discover that function! I am in love with this tablet! Really great purchase!!

Just bought one for my wife - we both have used Samsung tabs before, but picked up a few things from this info. Technology keeps changing faster than we can keep up.
My hubby surprised me with one just last weekend. My new tablet and case arrived last week. I hope your wife enjoys hers as much as I'm enjoying mine!!
@@andrealow1228 - the tablet kept turning off despite being set for 30 minutes, and would not turn back on, so it was returned to Best Buy and a 2nd one received. Had the same problems - contacted Samsung and they said that it appeared both were from the same shipment, and that the pallet may have been dropped in transit or storage, which would cause the tablets to malfunction. Took the 2nd one back, got a refund and purchased a Lenovo tablet instead. No problems with this one - wife loves it!
@@retiredyeti5555 Oh wow! That stinks! I'm glad you ultimately got one she loves. My husband bought one for his son as as a belated birthday gift. My step-son lives on his computer (desktop). Well, he DID. Since he got his tablet he's hardly been on his computer. My husband got both of ours at Sam's. Fortunately we have not experienced any issues. Fingers and toes crossed! (For the record I would almost believe both of the ones you purchased were indeed from the same shipment. Ours are perfect thus far.)

@@andrealow1228 The folks at Best Buy were very accommodating, which makes me think that I was not the only one to experience this occurrence. I tried to rectify the problem through Samsung Support, but to no avail. They told me to take it back - both times it was within a day or two of purchase.
@@retiredyeti5555 That's great they were so helpful and accommodating. I have only had one other Samsung device in 2014. I use a Blackberry cell phone. I am liking my tablet thus far. I wasn't even aware Samsung has its own internet browser!! 😆

Hi Andre. Thank you for the excelent video. I have a question hopefully you can help. I bought the tablet to write because my laptop broke down and I'm in Colombia at the moment and this was the best (and cheapest) quick fix. I have a little keyboard, which works fine. The problem is the Microsoft Office that comes with the tablet. As far as I can figure out I cannot write documents with it or save anything unless I upgrade to 365 which I don't want to do as it is a temporary measure. So far I have had to write on Google Drive, which offline does not work so well. I saw towards the end of the video you opened Microsoft Office but you didn't really explain how to work it out. Is there a way of using it without buying 365? Or does the Samsung A7 have another word processing program I can use and then transfer to Docs when online? Or do you have a better solution? Thank you so much if get to read this and can help me!
