whew these comments! this is why some people should not have a say on fashion. nothing that Kim K wore back then was iconic you guys. she was following the trends. She dressed like every other basic L.A. girl back then. her more recent fashion choices, most notably during her time with ye, are iconic. she sets the trends. she brings new things to us. things that probably can't even be replicated because it's her. fashion is deeper than just trends. it's an art. it's a creative way to express yourself freely. that's why she deserves the award NOW. she wouldn't have deserved it back then. why would she out of all people be considered iconic back then? I can name like a few other celebrities she was dressing similar to back then.
I just like the fact that she broke through the whole "high fashion only looks good on skinny girls" mentality. You can have curves and still have a style that is daring and fashion forward.

It would have been interesting to see how much more of an icon Amber would have become had her and Kanye stayed together as Amber's looks and style blew everyone out of the water and influenced many women to go for that signature cut. I also feel Amber's look was so fierce, badass, edgy, and mannequin like that she was a designers muse dream. Amber is also stunning, stood out amongst the celebrity crowd and was starting to usher in a new definition of beauty.
I love Ye, but always got the feeling that he was threatened by Amber's star command which drew your attention towards her whenever they were together.
Fair dues to Kim as she is a trendsetter, however she was granted the connections to evolve her fashion sense that Amber no doubt lost when her and Kanye split.

kim is gorgeous. The reason why you think she looks old here is bc she's been doing microneedling radio frequency laser to her skin. She posted this on her instagram story. People think microneedling radio frequency will help firm and tighten the skin but in reality it will actually make you look older. The heat melts the fat overtime. Any surgeon/dermatologist who tell you otherwise is LYING and trying to make a quick buck. I work in a plastic surgery office and have seen alto of damage to people's face bc of microneedling and lasers. ANY device that heats up the tissue or even micorneedling will damage the deeper layer in the skin. I don't care who is operating this devices NEVER DO IT. NEVER HEAT YOUR SOFT TISSUE. Plastic surgery is a business and you're a costumer. Remember that. Doctors prey on your insecurities to make a living. Never get unnecessarily work done. I have seen lot of beautiful girls ruin their faces with plastic surgery. If your'e gonna get work done, know exactly what you need to enhance your looks. LESS IS MORE. KNOW WHAT YOU NEED or ask someone you TRUST what they think. Never let a a surgeon tell you what you should do to your face. Most surgeon, not all, will put money first before their patient. And they will never take responsibility for botched work.

Well, she's 40. She looks amazing no matter what age she is, especially after carrying two kids and raising 4! I like watching her grow older because she still continues to be her best and seems to get better as a person.

She’s influential for sure but her style isn’t the best IMO. A lot of the haute couture looks she does especially with those oversized glasses she’s been known to wear for years now were done before by Grace Jones and even Lady Gaga during her artpop era. There’s literally times where Gaga was dressed like a typical influencer before they were even a thing.
