      You were saying to hit you up with questions, here's one: got a 6.4 with 6 speed, was looking at the whipple, but I think I would rather make it into 426 stroker first, keeping the block and replacing all internals, then down the road twin turboing it. The question I have is : are superchargers more maintenance and head ache then twin turbos?I want bullet proof reliability, and want it done right so I don't run into problems down the line. Know it's gonna be expensive, so I just want to make sure I get it right. Thanks

    • @DDOTFORD

      The important thing is plan things out. I wouldn’t recommend a twin turbo until someone can show the longevity of them. And with the 6.4 you do anything Performance wise you definitely want to look at doing the internals

    I recently purchased a 2017 Charger Scatpack V8. I didn't know anything about a Charger before my purchase. I didn't know that I was buying into a family. I still don't totally know what Mopar is.lol! I've been YouTubing about the vehicle this week, just to gain a better understanding of what my car can do, and offer. I bought the car because, it looked and road Great. It's Gunmetal Gray, with the 20" 5 Star Alloy Wheel. An older SRT Charger pulled up next to me at a red light the 2nd day of owning the car. I was like, "here we go, he wants to race", but he didn't. He admired the car, then gave respect by never attempting to pass me . I thought it was odd, but after getting a better understanding of what I bought into, it makes since. Some folks more than others, have a greater respect for family. With the understanding that I have now, I will give more respect to fellow Mopar Memmbers.

    • @mystiksemporium
      @mystiksemporium 6 лет назад +1

      Mhd alz3abi yes you will have to have an unlocked pcm to tune. You can send the one in your car or a spare. Ask the shop to get you some factory reads of the pcm in your car to send with the spare. You may be able to find one already unlocked for your year. The 2018 lineup has to jump through some hoops though.

    Hey D-DOT-FORD, I am so frustrated still doing research on supercharging the V6 AWD charger. I have left comments on other youtubers who have done ripp supercharging already and knowledgeable enough, but just never got an answer back, maybe too many comments, lol.. One of my concerns is if I need to upgrade the other parts on my car after supercharging it. I know Ripp says no need at all, but after I did some research, all are pointing at "Yes, have to upgrade to support the extra pressure boost added on the engine". I could invest the money in a V8, but since I live in Canada and AWD is kind of necessary, and I don't race my car, just want the extra power to play around with driving daily, reliability and longevity of the "Supercharged V6 engine with stock parts" is my biggest concern. So after watching your video, I suppose if my car gets a proper tuning after the installation of the kit, it will not be a problem in the long term? Can you please help with the question and give some advice, thank you!

    those sound terrible, the sound coming out the intake inlet probably is indictive of a poorly specced centrifugal supercharger, doesn't sound like the tolerances are there to keep the sound of rattling components from exiting the intake side...should sound smooth and gets higher pitch as it builds up revs, what do these internally rev at engine speed or something because it sounds like its going to spit metal at any second, probably a good idea on a jeep, but something with such a weak trans and no LSD its wasted on a 3.6L fleet vehicle

    seems RIPP is recommending "professional" installs on what amounts to one of the simplest bolt ons I've seen in awhile...the S/C is self contained, the whole system is...and why is RIPP putting the install back onto the installer and not the system itself. Difference in authorized service and "professional" service and seems RIPP wants to be left off the hook and the consumer liable for all of it. cutting metal to route hoses does not require a professional with a SAWZALL

    These companies claim that these superchargers don’t void your warranty especially Ripp but I see
    These RUclips videos with the headline we blew the engine. I just don’t believe this crap. In no way will Jeep pay for new engines each time this happens. Let me know your thoughts thanks

      H3mi head the v6 with the ripp would smoke a 392, you dont get the hemi sound but youll be pulling on 99% of everything out there

    • @Franklopezzzzzz
      @Franklopezzzzzz 4 года назад

      But it’s faster than some v8s. That’s the fun part. When v8s try to bully because they think you’re a little v6 and the Supercharger comes out! Vroom vroom!!!!

    Obviously need to do more “research”. Research would show you that a positive displacement blower trumps a centrifugal blower. If anyone is seriously considering a supercharger look into Sprintex.
    While this guy may not be “obligated” to say nice things he’s obviously emotional attached and therefore not objective.

      Jack Burton No. not at all. It depends on the application and what the driver wants from the car. Both excel at different things and both have their shortcomings. Don’t be dumb. 👍🏻
