Amazing! Just somehow broke mine off this morning and instantly panicked thinking about costs of calling in a plumber 😂. Thought I’d check RUclips first and this came up. Gave it a try and it worked. You’re indeed a lifesaver 🙂
😮😂❤🎉😅😅😂😮😮😢😢🎉❤😂🎉😅😮
No problem.
Why can't all instructional videos be this clear and simple?!
and concise
To be honest, you can't really complicate a radiator valve
because they need 10minutes video to have tons of ads to earn money.. The longer the video is, the more profitable it is.
Thank you! I’m a support worker, myself and the person I’m supporting just managed this ourselves with no experience and we’re very pleased with ourselves
Great job! Well done.
Had a panic this morning after breaking mine off by accident, glad to find a video like this to ease my stress. All fixed now, thank you for the informative video!
No problem.
Single lady fixing my own valve! WINNER!
Good on you. Keep up the good work. Ladies can do it as well as men.
I did it too on my own. So easy to do.
Congratulations.
Gender has no play madam. It just read the book and it goes as planned. :D
Congratulations for being a functional grown human
Are you free Saturday night?
This is the second video of yours that has given me confidence to attempt things I otherwise would have paid a man for. The extent of my plumbing knowledge is that water is wet so something as basic as this is super helpful. I wasn’t sure if I was going to take the valve off and water would go everywhere! Saved me a packet thank you!
Excellent!
I don't have much money and I try and help out my elderly mom with repairs. Thank you for all your tips.
That's great!
Another single lady saved by this guy. Thank you so much!
You're very welcome! Thanks Marie.
You, sir are an absolute legend. Saved me so much hassle, thank you.
No problem.
Thank you for making this video!! Very clear and easy to understand. My radiator wasn't working, but after watching your video and taking the valve off, I realised the pin underneath was jammed in. A couple of minutes with a pair of pliers, and my radiator is now lovely and warm again! Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you for all of your videos, they have been helpful to no end for me and my partner whilst renovating upstairs! Thank you so much!
No problem Harriet.
OMG it really is that simple! Life saver, thank you so much for posting!
No problem.
Thank you! Im a student and I just moved to Europe all by myself, so had no idea how these worked and nobody to ask. I appreciate the clear instructions. 👍
No problem Chloe.
This is everything i needed. As i was regulating the valve, trying to get the right temperature, it came off. I didn't know how to screw it back on and thought i had broken it. After watching your demonstration, i was able to put it back on!! 👍🏼
That`s great.
Fantastic video, thanks Al! One of the clearest, easiest explanations I've come across.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for this. The valve came away in my wife’s hand this morning and I couldn’t work out how to put it back on. Your video explained it really clearly and now it’s all fixed. Once again, thank you very much.
No problem.
Thank you, as a novice this was clear and concise. Loved it.
No problem.
Hero! All other articles seemed to want me to replace the whole valve system, when I just needed the head. Ordered a new one now to fit tomorrow. Thanks!
No problem.
Thank you for your videos. I used a couple today to fix a radiator. The best tool I used today by far.
Cheers
Liam

Thank you! Moved into our student house months ago to find ours on the floor. Housemates like it a lot hotter than me so very helpful to get it fixed!
No problem Max.
Brilliant video, thank you. I’ve got a radiator working again and I’m in the grip of the Beast from the East and Storm Emma at the moment, so your help was marvellous.
One again a really useful video - thanks Al!

Couldn't believe how simple that was - I have always been hesitant with plumbing jobs but this was simple! NICE
Thanks! 👍
Still the most helpful man on the internet. Thanks!
Thanks a lot Paul.
Thank you so much! It really is simple! My poor boyfriend had been sleeping next to a radiator on full blast because the valve head came off and we didn’t know how to put it back on. Great, easy, simple video.
No problem
Super helpful--got me over the hump of believing I could do this, and I love Dereton's smile and gentle manner!
No problem Jack.
Amazing thanks! One of ours has clearly just rotten and fallen off, I thought this was a plumber call out. You saved me £150! 😊
You're welcome!
Derek, You are a national treasure my friend, thank you.
My pleasure!
Many years ago I had to do things with my radiator like turn it off in a room, decorate, or just have it off as a room was being used for storage. I'm back at a video of yours again, this time figuring out how to put what I was legitimately going to Google as "number temperature knob thingy" at one point.
I've got high functioning autism, and the approach to some simple things can feel initially daunting, despite having been to university and all that. Your videos are simple, to the point, and with a kind face that says it all.
Thanks for being a whole lot of help. Other RUclipsrs overcomplicate things for some reason.
Thanks you very much for your very kind comments. Al and Jan.
Two minutes long video and in another 7 minutes i had my new valve installed :))! Thank you Sir for your helpful video!

Thank you soo much Sir, I love RUclips!! 😭 I was getting frustrated and struggling to figure it out on my own until I searched it up. Thought I was going to need to call someone for it 😅 but I did it and I’m relieved now 😌 Thanks again. 👌🏾

Hey thanks, lovely. Nearly all of ours basically fell off within 6 months of us moving in to our place - I suspect they hadn't been touched in years and the heat got to the plastic. I imagined it was all far too alarming to fix myself (despite having done loads of other fixes in the house!). Now, I shall! Thanks again xx
No problem
Very helpful Indeed. The plastic connection on my myson thermostat just crumbled away and I was concerned about replacing it myself but this video has given me the confidence that I can 👍😃
You're welcome!
Great video!!!!! Glad that you don't have to switch anything off......just put a new one on. Thank you so much!!!
When normally changing the head then no, but if you are going to try to undo the top then yes.

You will do it just fine Marion.

No problem.
Thanks mate, been looking at installing smart radiator valves, had no clue how to do it, but I reckoned it was a straight forward process. n1
No problem 😊
Many thanks, dereton33! This is so clear, uncluttered and to the point. I have already removed the valve head, in a matter of minutes (had to search my old grandad's toolbox for the right spanner/grip) and it was so satisfying. Now to replace the damaged bakelite one and hope that I can buy the right fit. (That superthanks... What is it? I'd like to give them, but it's a bit of a mystery how it works.)
You are welcome! Dont worry about the super thanks.
twice today you have sorted me out, thank you so helpfull
No problem.
Thanks for this video. Helped me so much. 👍👍
You're welcome!
thanks this was really helpful.
No problem.
Thanks. I thought you could replace them as easily as this but my plumber told me you had to replace it with the exact same head. He said that there were loads of different sizes of threads from different manufacturers and if I couldn't find the exact replacement head I would need a whole new valve including the metal part which would mean draining the system. Unless there has been a massive miscommunication, he's trying it on with me!
You will need to get the same head as the make of your valve.
dereton33 Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. Great.
Is there an easy way to identify what make and model of valve that I'd need?
Helped so much and saved me a lot of money
No problem
What a sound guy, very helpful. Thanks
