Joey Beltram one of the gods of the underground, I wish I got to see him DJ. Either way I got to listen to what he produced, and I guarantee his tracks were in every top techno DJ's crate
Thank you soich for the track list! I was at this gig when I was 16 years old, it influenced me massively. My favourite track is 'I am not a number' You have really made my day as I've often thought I'd love to know the artist etc after djing myself for 20 years. Thank you again
Joey's 1991 & 1992 sets are far better than his later mixes which are quite tame compared to this one, Galactica Ripon in late 92, and his earlier raves. For me, this what I expect from Joey Beltram - serious hardcore.
M8 you’re spot on. I made a comment similar about the first time I witnessed a set he played! It was Joey Beltram at a rave in Scotland in October 92/ it actually changed my whole musical experience from being into the same hardcore music that all the uk DJs were playing weekly! Then when I saw Joey Beltram at the Awesome 101 event it’s basically the exact same set as Evolution which is around the same time so he was obviously doing a UK tour as I’ve since got sets from Sterns in Worthing in winter 92 Orbit in Leeds & this set with my set and there all the same except a few different tracks but it was the first time I’d heard this style of what I called Hardcore Techno. From that night onwards I was listening to DJs like Laurent Garnier Lenny Dee Jeff Mills Derek May Richie Hawtin Loftgroover & our own Dave Angel Daz Saund Colin Dale & Favour Tanith Trevor Rockcliffe etc. grooverider and Fabio Dj SS Topp Buzz Slippmatt etc went from being the DJs I was always listening to and I started listening to this kind of music from autumn 92 onwards. Great Great proper Hardcore Techno that took your brain on the ultimate journey especially back then with the chemistry we had at this period of the scene. Awesome stuff from these heady days. 🕊️✌️🕊️
@@Gavaldo I feel you loud and clear, bro. Seeing Beltram at Awesome 101 is a collectors item. We're both graduates from that SAME old school. From 1991 to late 92 was what hardcore dreams were made of.
Masterpiece set
Beltram blowing your mind everytime
