My Type r has been on sorn since sept last year following brakes rebuild with new disks and pads for cox's honda i bought new tyres all round too original potenza's will tax this weekend and go for a run all ive done since xmas with her is proper ceramic coat her took several days also i bought proper seat covers to protect the seat trim, mine is also milano red but i had the roof, mirrors and boot spoiler painted gloss black and GP kit fitted front and rear so breaks the red up a bit .
I've used the same vacum pump to change .my brake fluid you need to wrap Some plumbers tape round the bleed nipples and then they don't suck air into the the pipe has you are pumping. I had no problem at all use that system
Give your self a pat on the back for having a go at this job mate. I took the easy option and got a brake specialist to do mine. How nice is it to have ur car actually roll on a hill and not feel like the handbrake is on all the time. Lol congratulations on having a baby boy.
Well done for seeing it through. I just use my mate's garage for stuff like that... Congratulations to you both on the baby news. The type r is a great baby car my boys love it and plenty of room in the Honda for them 👍🏻. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations mate, you'll be great parents also the calipers look awesome, mine are starting to get to the points of needing a respray but since I've just had new brakes fitted I'll get it on the time.
The type R callipers are known for seizing up. Pain in the arse, along with drop links snapped springs and leaking shockers! Apart from that there great! Lol
Dude congrats on the little one☺️ And don't worry about the time it took or how long the video is! You're doing an awesome job and fenomenal videoes. Calipers look sweet, planning to do the same to mine this summer. Cheers from a fellow fn2'er in Norway
Well done Chap! glad you got it done , looks awesome. Bless you both what exciting times you have to look forward to. I got confirmation at work today regarding GRAVITY SLAMMED UK CAR SHOW at work few days ago. We are based at Stoneleigh ParK Warwickshire and are chuffed to be getting shows back, we do Japfest to. Footage of 2019 on you tube. Hope you and your dad have a blast on track, look forward to seeing it mate. Congrats again on the little man. Reminded me we have young drivers starting again to at work lol.
Congrats to you both pal great news for a little one💚, and you have a million times more patience then me, them brake calipers would have been at the bottom of the river 😂😂😂, they look really good though, well done 👌
Looks awsome mate. Was thinking about doing a caliper rebuild myself.....think I'll wait another 20k miles lol. That looked buggerable lol. Gongrats on the baby blue news buddy chuffed to bits for you and your wife.
This is why just buying new ones is easier.... well that's what I tell myself...so many times I've said never again yet I'm still doing re builds 😂 Once you know a good technique the next time be a lot easier. Great job well done. I bought recently a sealey vs820 bleeder - great piece of kit, highly recommend....it even tops the fluid up as u go, and great for bleeding clutch too, you can buy a handy adapter that's fits on the Fn2 brake and clutch resevoir
Another good informative vid bud, fair play to u, brakes scare the jeebies out of me 🤣🙈 mate I cannot wait for shows!!! Japfest Silverstone, bhp fuel fest and simply japanese at Beaulieu are the ones I'm most looking forward to this year 😁😁 loving the content pal 👍🏼👌🏼
Great job man, remember me when i did this on my Subaru before... My FN2 now have complete front brakes Tarox and i have to say i would not change them 😁 btw Tarox should be from England 🙋
@@FNLEW thanks man your response is super quick appreciate it. I think at some point will bump into u on shows perhaps. Not big myself but loveeeee my fn2 best car ever had!!! So I am looking after her like a gentleman lol
We have just been through this process, failed to get the pistons in so found some new calipers for £95! Got to bleed it next, did you have any concerns with bleeding? Our MK1 Audi TT we had to bleed the ABS pump
@@FNLEW Awesome thanks mate, we have a pressurised bleed kit but might have to go old skool! Hope to see your FN2 back soon, we are at a track day on 21st August if its ready by then
It was like going through hell mate 😂 I did use some bro for helping pump individual pistons out that were stuck by clamping the the ones that were fine but I didn't want to leave the clamps on for days that's all.

Anyone know how to make suspension softer ?
How come you did the rear calipers with type r stickers?
The eBay seller I got the front decals from also did rears so I thought I'd get the full pack.

TRY AA CORE an ebay shop send in your old calipers for full refurb save 5 days work
I suppose I saved money & gained knowledge at least.
