Thanks for all your feedback so far, always important to test new things😊🌱 That being said, this video is about having a bit of fun and not always having to be so serious. Edit: New video on Saturday
Personally i felt like you gabbled your way through and need to double the time or half the amount and make 2 shorter ones. At the end,you are talking at your normal speed and so much easier to understand, for me any ways. The information is important but lost in the spreed.
in fact i like it even better! i am a busy mom and dont have time for the lengthy slow videos most days, this is perfect, keeps my attention, hits all the main points, great reminders, thank you
I don't mind longer videos and like to take the time and enjoy your well explained content. 🌻 Gardening for me is not stressing through, the oposite actually.
@@HuwRichards Huw, I was drawn to your videos because of your demeanor, the professionalism and seriousness you exuded. I discovered you when I began gardening couple years back as a result of the covid pandemic. I LOVE to cook and bake and absolutely abhor dining out in restaurants so to me my garden is a life or death situation. My health is my life! Mental, emotional, physical... My garden is a no phone zone, no cell phones allowed. No smoking allowed. Peace tranquility and love. That's it. Your videos are perfect (to me). No need to tweak anything or change the length. I enjoy the mini-movies with my coffee tea or cocoa. 😉 Look forward to the next Saturday morning video. We love you Huw. ❤️
You cannot rush gardening so why rush information about it. You are such a wealth of fabulous information, Huw, please don’t feel like you have to limit yourself when you share that information. Clearly your fans want to soak up as much knowledge as you are willing to share however long it takes. 💚
I love this format. Despite the majority’s resistance to this break from the norm, I think you could use it 4 times a year ie the start of each season. It gives so many things for people to think about prior to each season and then you can back up the most important ideas with a further, more in depth video!
Totally agree! It's a motivating format because it gives me a quick overview - we don't need it do be in-depth when it's a seasonal reminder of what to do. Great idea to do 4 shorter videos like this each season!
I agree, it's really useful to have this kind of bullet point video for a to do list like this, and then longer ones for specific things that benefit from more in depth discussion.
Thank you so much Hugh 🙏🏼 A short format like this was fun but like the other subscribers say, you must stay true to yourself and deliver what ever you feel is right in whatever time it takes. Your videos are worth watching, no matter how long they are because they are jam packed with inspirational guidance. Thank you 🙏🏼
I love this format. I have a busy busy life. Clearly others that watch this channel and commenting that they prefer longer / slower videos have the luxury of more time than I do! Great tips in a compact and accessible way. Your viewers are a varied bunch so a mix of different formats is ideal, I think. Thanks v much 🙂
I, like many others it seems, prefer the longer more relaxed videos but you have to do what's right for you. It's your channel after all ☺️. I'm 58 years of age and I've learnt so much from you over the last while so thanks for that. Keep up the great work ☺️
A bit stressfull actually, specially the ringtone. Personaly I prefer the longer/deeper videos. Autum is about to slow down a bit and change gear so spare this format for spring-if you feel you need it. But as always- very good info. Thanks! Happy autumn gardening.
This was more “fun” yet I really like when the videos are a bit longer. Even if it were a minute per tip I believe that would feel more spacious and well rounded. Either way, thank you so much for everything you do ❤
I actually liked this A LOT. I think changing the format based on the materials you are presenting is a good way to think about it. Sometimes I'm interested in watching beautiful montages of someone else's garden; sometimes I'm more interested in the tips they're sharing, as was the case here. For lists like this, the quick, succinct style is perfect. For times when you're going into detail around a specific method or technique of doing something, a more leisurely approach could apply. Thanks for mixing it up for those of us engineering types who appreciate a good list! 😁
A variety of lengths is good in my opinion. I don't enjoy a rushed version though. Speeding up the video is always an option for those who are pressed for time.
Huw, I like all of your videos, short or long! This was nice because you covered a lot in a short time. I planted my garlic yesterday, so that is done. I love all of your tips because it helps me to know what to do and remember to do them.
This was great Huw, loads of useful tips and reminders, thanks. We enjoy everything you share and appreciate the time and effort it takes no matter how long the video.😊
Absolutely loved this video! Straight to the point with no useless bla Bla Bla. Would love to see all RUclipsrs doing more of this instead of the continuously longer and longer videos with very little actual content.
I like this format. I think it will appeal to a wider audience. It makes gardening seem more accessible. You could maybe do some shorts as well. 10 minutes is a good length for a video.
Slow down! I like it when your just yourself and talk without being rushed. A lot of other peoples videos don’t give the detail that you do, that’s why I watch you. I’m a new gardener and your my yoda 😊
You did well covering lots of great tips in 30 seconds. I've raked up so many leaves this autumn and love the fact of them feeding the soil. Shall me collecting seaweed after the storms we've had, what's to lose worth using all the resources you can find for the soil health and protection. Thank you Huw as always for sharing you're knowledge and passion
Thank you Huw, straight to the all important “key” points ! Life is a school - you learn something new every day 🤓. For me, gardening is a fun & never ending experiment ! It’s a Sanctuary for my Soul ❤. Enjoying your contents ! Keep doing what you do 👍😊🙏
I liked the rapid pace. Some of the tips were reminders so it was perfect that they were reviewed quickly and you moved on. In addition, some tips were something you think of eventually and jam yourself up time-wise.
I like the short video because i'm betting it helps some people that don't necessarily have the time but I do also like the long videos. You always provide so much information and your garden always looks so good that I don't mind watching you amazing videos.
I like to hear you talk, personally. Your videos are all beautifully curated, and your channel is one I recommend for PNW new gardeners. I liked this format for providing a quick preview of your other, more detailed instructionals. This is very recommendable to new gardeners. Also, watching this I am feeling motivated to make that audit! 😁🏅
I loved this video! Huw trying to find a ringtone and not liking his actual ringtone was very relatable :D While I like longer videos, I REALLY appreciate these shorter ones. It helps give me an overview of what I need to do for winter. Very motivating!
If this was fun for you, do it as much as you’d like. AND we’ll still watch your longer videos because they’re great info and your personality shines. You do Huw. 😉
I know you are trying to reach the "I want it now" crowd with your short burst information. I thought you did pretty good with it actually because you stuck with the main points. With that said, even your longer videos are ALL full of great information and no fluff, so I love seeing you bop about in your own timing sharing your knowledge. I very much missed that part in this video.
Loved it! There's plenty of in depth that you do. Great move to expand your reach. Don't change a thing: Love all the videos you do, informative & direct w lovely shots of your wonderful growing spaces. Always a pleasure.
I usually watch Videos before I go to sleep, so i sometimes have to skip Videos which are too long. But then i watch it some days later. Its nice to have a short "to Do list", but with the running seconds and the sounds it felt rushed.I like it a bit smoother, gardening also isnt a rush but has to take its time.
Your videos are not long! I watch other ‘tubers that put up 40-60 minutes almost every time and I settle with a cuppa and allow myself to relax and center, all while learning/re-learning valuable lessons. If needed, it OS possible to pause the videos 😅
Did you take more time to produce this shorter version for us 😉 It’s a fun video, sprinkled with funny moments. Thank you!If I get to vote, I’ll go with the longer ones. Your fans will want to hear more from you, but these might draw newbies to your channel. A mix is great 😊
Made me feel anxious Hugh. Sorry I couldn’t concentrate on what you were saying, just the timer. You put a video out with Liz this week and I really enjoyed it, lovely and slow and relaxing. Xxx
I always look at the length of any video before watching, it means I know whether or not to make myself a cuppa and settle in or just take a quick break from what I am doing. There are some topics that just need a longer explanation, and more time to take in the abundance of nature.
Jam packed with information! I like this sort of video kind of as a preview (or review, perhaps) of all the content and topics to delve into deeper on your channel.
Hi ya packed in loads of advice as always thanks so much. It is a quick reference for me to follow and it’s encouraged me to get things done right now. Cheers 😊
I planted 19 garlic cloves two weeks ago, no idea if they're hard or soft variety but they are growing!! Now a good 8 inches tall and looking healthy, I'm truly amazed and beyond thrilled! I definitely need to plant a lot more though, we live garlic 😋😋
I'm totally cracking up at the ringtone cringe because you don't like being called. 😄 That's so me. I have ringtones that still give me instanxiety when I hear them because I happened to use them at a time when my life was chaos.
Also, got my garlic in last week here in northern California! First time growing at this property, and first overwintering attempt. Using cloves from farmers market bulbs grown less than 2 miles away so I know it has potential to do quite well here. Now I better watch the rest of the vid before I comment again. 😄😁
great format, for me it was a good reminder of all the things I need to get on with. also, if I want more info on anything you have mentioned I can just look back at your videos. I think a mixture of the 2 types is fab. great job.
I LOVE your HANDS! Thank you for making my day! I don’t have a garden sadly…..even tho I have about a 9x 9 space….I just don’t know where to start. My dirt is just that …dead , lifeless clay and construction fill dirt. Love watching you tho! Again 🙏

I love your long videos. They are beautiful, informative and inspiring
.Your videos are great and relaxing to watch! Thank you for sharing your tips and beautiful space
Just the instruction I needed Sir! Thank you!😁
Huw, most of us prefer the longer videos. That way you do justice to each topic.
Timing was excellent 🎉
You are so inspirational, therefore I personally love the longer videos. Regardless, thank you for all you share. Best wishes
Wow. Thank you and be blessed

Great video Huw, thank you. Especially useful tip on the spent compost in pots.
Perfect. Loved it all.
Will be out in the garden first thing to follow all the advice.
