I just came back to my home after a week long church camp (I’m 13) and this song has truly saved my life and I’m so happy that this was created through Garrett by God.
There is a reason behind all God allows. I have no right to question what the Lord giveth...and sadly the things he takes away. We will miss you...and no will remain changed by the blessing that you were Garrett. To God be the Glory.

Tragic learning about Garett's early call home. Glad I stumbled upon this though. Looked up "Christian Folk" in the search bar, and this was the only song I found with the right "feel" to it, for my personal taste. Truly a great song, and I'm glad that it was a well recorded live cut.
I digress, death is only tragic to those of us that will remember him as a man, but in the big picture, it's wonderful to know that his soul lives on in the Kingdom Of Heaven, and we ought to be thankful we had him here, rejoicing in his faith, pursuing his art, for the time that he had here. I just heard about what happened to Garrett this morning. If any of his family and/or friends read this, I just want to tell you how much this song has done for me over the last few years. I grieve with you over his loss, regardless of what anyone says.
I was curious myself, and I am sad to report that he passed away in an accident. Terrible tragedy, for his family, friends, and the music community. I truly believe Christian music needs to move forward a little, the majority of the genre is very cookie cutter, and I was so excited to see some fresh talent. My prayers to those close to him, who lost someone who seems to be such a kind person.

Thank you so much Alyssa! Unfortunately the guys that were in the video no longer play with me. Brennan who played slide guitar moved to Brazil a while ago to do missions and got married. But he is coming back to the US around the beginning of next year so his wife can get dual citizenship. So him and I will probably be playing together again one day soon hopefully! And Trey who played the banjo is doing his own solo project now. I am still going to keep the Vonagarden project going though. I am writing new songs, and hopefully will be putting some new videos up sometime soon. :)
