First time in a LONG TIME I’ve seen an enthusiast use the Octopus. Do forgot it’s an option not that it makes much difference for me with the Essex Saver being more value for money. Tbf had forgotten how scenic the southend area can be especially Shoebury considering it being well... Shoebury. Is a shame the MOD keep the gem of Southend to themselves in Foulness and it’s a shame they punt you off the 14 in Wakering before going onto the island but what can you do. Good video nonetheless.

For me, living in Upminster, it makes no sense to go up to Brentwood then the slog to Basildon on the 9 and 28 through to Southend, so if I want to do a Southend day, an Octopus works best! It's a right shame about Foulness - I understand the heritage centre is open on the first Sunday of the month in Summer or something along those lines, so it'd be great if they ran a bus then! Sadly not, but the rest of the Southend area is still rather nice, especially Wallasea on the 60A (which I'd definitely recommend if you haven't done it)!

Jezza M I’m usually too busy up the other end of the county and whenever I’m down there it’s normally only for the tridents and for what was left of the darts. Wallasea’s also tide dependent like Mersea is hence the lack of visits
